We had a nice stay, and we liked the location. It’s about a half mile walk to the station. Heads up, that there is no a/c or screens in the windows. Overall we liked it. There are not a lot of shops around for groceries so scout that out before. We had a great time.

This apartment was great. The location was outside the London area but a beautiful place to be. The walk from the train was one of our favorite things. Apartment had all the amenities needed and nicely decorated. Great views to wake up to! There's a huge mall at the Stratford train station that has a great variety of food and great shopping. There's a coffee shop around the corner from the apartment that has the BEST coffee I've ever had!! John will answer any questions you have!

Lovely apartment, great location. Every conceivable appliance available (but we were only there long enough to use the kettle ☺). Quirky and charming decor. All in all a really nice place to stay.

Well, where do I start? We fell in love with this place straight away. I stayed 2 night with my partner and 13 year old son and we all felt comfortable and right at home. John literally couldn't do enough for us with his help, hints, tips and advice which was very much appreciated as it was my first trip to London. The apartment is far enough away from everywhere to be peaceful but close enough to everywhere to not feel too out of the way. A beautiful 10 minute walk from the DLR station makes it a perfect location. The lady who met us with the keys was kind and sweet answering all our questions before leaving us in spotlessly clean accommodation. All amenities are modern, the beds are so comfy and the balcony was pretty and perfect, especially with sliding doors leading on to it from the main bedroom. The quirkiness of the decor was funky and fab too!
We cooked breakfast there both mornings and also ordered a takeaway through Justeat on the second night which got to us quickly with no problems. Overall, with the help of owner John and position and standard of apartment, my first visit to London will not be my last.

We had a great stay in this apartment. It’s large and comfortable and a great place to return after a long day of sightseeing.
We enjoyed running or walking along the canal that you can see out the windows in the pics. We caught a West Ham United match in the Olympic Stadium next door. (They won 4-3!) it’s easy to use the Stratford station either by walking there or hopping onto the Pudding Mill DLR.
It is a wee bit of a train ride from town (maybe 20 mins) but after long days around the crowds in Central London we were happy to get some space. The neighborhood was very friendly. They’re a little quiet at first but if you are polite and friendly to them they seem very happy to have tourists in the area, especially Americans.
Taxi Tom picked us up from Heathrow and brought us to the apartment, and he drove us back to Heathrow at the end. Great guy to ride with. Svetlana greeted us, let us leave our bags and directed us to a few close spots for lunch while she finished readying the apartment for us.
The little grocery store that’s approximately 1/4 mile away had everything we needed and the owners were very nice. The Ethical Bean Co coffee place is open on weekdays @ 8am, great coffee and a great owner.
We ate at a few restaurants along the canal too- all good.
The apartment itself is very quiet and all 5 of us slept very well. We used the kitchen just to make light breakfasts and to store ice cream for night time so it functioned quite well. We would unwind around the large tv and watch Netflix at the end of the day. The in-apartment WiFi was great.
We even bought a West Ham football (soccer ball) and played in one of the large fields at Olympic park. We spent just a little time in the large Westfield shopping mall, and it was quite nice. Anything you could possibly need is within a 15-minute walk (we needed gloves and an Apple Watch charger).
I would certainly stay here again, as would my wife and our 3 kids. Thanks to John for being such a great owner!

This is a really cool apartment with fabulous views over the canal and the Olympic stadium.
The owner gave the most detailed set of instructions I have ever received from a Homeaway owner right down to a photo map from the nearest DLR station and exact timings from our airport.
The apartment is not as spacious as it looks from the photos as it is full of really cool and funky things.
We were 5 people and the extra bed was set up in the living room which wasnt ideal as there are no curtains so my daughter would have been woken early by the sun. The hallway is long though so we moved the bed in there which was lovely and dark.
Its about a 8 min walk from the apartment to the nearest DLR station, Pudding Mill Lane. We either took a DLR into Canary Wharf from there or one stop back to Stratford and a 30 min tube ride on the noisy Jubilee line to the centre of London.
We flew into Stansted airport. A 50 min National Express bus took us to Stratford so that was a very easy journey.
Overall we loved the apartment. Was a little far to centre of London, 45 mins in total, but it was lovely to explore Olympic Park

The apartment was great. Beds were very comfortable and it had everything we needed while there. I loved all the cool decorations the apartment had. It had a nice size tv. The apartment also has a washer and a dryer which was awesome! It was close to mall which also had a grocery store in it and a tube station and it was about a 15 minute walk. There is also a little convenient store around the corner which had quite a bit of stuff in it. It was even open on Christmas Day. John the owner was very punctual about responding to any questions before we arrived, during and after our stay. The only thing was the water in the showers were very hard to adjust. It was either very hot or very cold. Overall, we would definitely stay there again! You can't go wrong with this apartment.

Beautiful apartment, it has everything you need. Good beds, two bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Great sofa when you want to relax and watch tv. We liked the beautiful accessories, who has a half Mini Cooper in his livingroom that you can use as a couch? The apartment is very easy to be reached by car. Great that we could use the secure parking space for our car. The vue from the apartment is awesome. Public transport is very easy to be reached. Perfect place to explore and enjoy London. But don’t forget to visit the neighborhood where you can find great places to eat. Thanks to the owner John who send us extensive and very useful info! We absolutely recommend this apartment when you want to visit London.

Luxury Appartment
This is a very luxurious appartment just opposite the Olympic Stadium at Stratford. Very well equiped with lots of kitchen equipment, glasses and mugs. Two good sized bedrooms one with a good size en-suite. Lots of querky furnishing which i loved especially the seat in the window. Foremans restaurant just down the road is excellant and well worth a visit.its a very good bases to work from but it will take you 10-15 minutes to walk to the tube station. Very secure area with good parking facilities. 5th & 6th beds are camp beds so not ideal for everyone. Very good/fast internet connection. A greaty base to explore from but please remember its not in the main part of the city. We loved it.

excellent
We had a very pleasant stay in this wacky spacious apartment. We were here for a big family occasion and we found the space suited our needs. The beds were very comfortable. The bus route 339 was very convenient as were the two local tube stations.
Walks along the canal were very much enjoyed. Also a fifteen minute walk took you to the Old Roman Road which had many local shops and supermarkets. We also used the two local shops which were about a ten minute walk away.
The car parking facility was excellent and very cheap even though we did not use the car much.
We followed the detailed maps and information supplied by John. It was possible to find the cafes/restaurants listed. It is good to see all the development since the Olympic Games.
The construction workers nearby doing the regeneration work start very early and can be noisy. We felt very safe and secure in the grounds of the apartment.
We stayed here for eight days and would recommend it for both short and long stays.
We visit East London quite frequently and look forward to seeing how the new developments and the eclectic community fit in.
We now feel that we have a good accommodation base to come back to and will come back again for a shorter time.

Worth a visit!
Lovely situated apartment, quiet area, pop up cafes and pubs, however not close to usual attractions.
John V. goes out of his way to provide you with the information you require to get around, thanks for the great recommendation for our cabby Tom, he was so awesome.
A few little minor flaws, touch up and maintenance really, other than that quiet, clean and comfortable.
If you are quite mobile, John provides info on trains and buses and a taxi, driven by our man Tom.
Within easy walking distance to the largest shopping centre in England, with plenty of great eateries.
The beds, memory foam...what a blast!

Outstanding in London
At the risk of creating availability competition for myself in the future, I highly recommend this property.
The owner's promptness in responding to messages and attention to detail is laudable (detailed maps to get you from the tube to the flat, plus entry instructions to the gated area--best experience I've had with location and check-in).
The property itself is fully stocked and in wonderful condition. No need to bring anything except your personal items.
The location is close to a few things, but for most people visiting London you'll need to travel a few miles to get to the usual locations. A 12 minute walk gets you to the light rail station. I believe bus-stop is a little closer the other direction. An Uber from downtown on a Saturday night was around 10 pounds.
While this apartment isn't downtown, it's still a great option for those spending a few days in the city and don't mind being a little further out.

Nice apartment, wonderful location!
We spent a great week here with our 3 boys. Apartment was great with lots of nice, quirky stuff to enjoy, but also with everything needed (and very fast Wifi – the kids were more than happy). Beautiful views over the canal, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the London Stadium (went to a West Ham United game – 10 min walk! Just a shame that they lost ;o(
No street noise at all, probably one of the most quiet locations in central London. Sightseeing was very convenient with the Overground and DLR just about 10 min away. Stratford tube station (and shopping centre) also very easy to reach with a 20 min walk through the Olympic Park. John was a great host, very responsive and supportive! We really had a great time and should certainly come back for our next trip to London!

Fabulous place to stay!
We stayed at Ironworks for 2 nights with my wife and 3 children. It was perfect! Great sized rooms and very clean and tidy throughout. We couldn’t believe how close it was to all that the Olympic Park has to offer. Very friendly locals with the lock operators giving us some great walking shortcuts and advice! I would certainly recommend this apartment and can’t wait to come back again in the future! An ideal location for exploring London without the hustle and bustle of the city! Thanks again!

Had a fantastic 2 night stay here this week. The apartment is lovely, so nice in fact we stayed in longer than we intended just to relax. Great location, especially for us as we were watching the Hockey in the Olympic Park. Just a 10 min walk to the nearest tube station(Pudding Mill Lane Station) it was also easy to go exploring further afield.
We will definitely be coming back to stay here.
