Locatie, geweldig uitzicht

The position on this side of the river suited us as it was quieter and a much better view of the town and castle.
We have been left with nothing but great memories of our stay.
The only thing that could help with the resultant is having an English version of the menu available.

Loved staying at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to ask us for anything that we may need. Will stay here again in the future.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here for many reasons. The view of Cochem and the castle from the room and terrace is fantastic. The breakfast included many options and the breakfast room is very nice. The dinner we had on the terrace was also very tasty. Overall, highly recommend.

We had a large room with awesome views of the Cochem castle and the town of Cochem on the Mosel River. Bed was comfortable in a spotlessly clean room that included a sofa for relaxation. Most of all, all staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent as were the restaurant meals. Their collection of wines were superb at very reasonable prices. We can strongly recommend this property to travelers.

We stayed in room 11 for one night. We selected this hotel because it had a great view - across the Cochem Castle. We were able to take great pictures of the Castle during day and night.
Checkin was easy and fast. Staff are super friendly. Room 11 needs two flight of stairs up, so might be difficult for elderly. Room itself has a comfy bed. The windows open up fully - very helpful on a very warm day.
A small parking lot was available next to the hotel. If it’s booked, there is paid parking spots nearby.
Breakfast was included in our rate and it had great variety such as eggs, ham, fresh bread, muffins, cheese, etc. each table was assigned to a room - which was great!
Walk to the old town was about 10-15 min. If you need more snacks and drinks, there is also an Aldi and Rewe about 5 min car ride/ 25 min walk.
Would definitely recommend this hotel for the location and friendly staff!
No AC, but window open up fully to offer some air into the room during warm days

Perfect location to explore Cohem and the areas along Mozel river. In addition, the hotel has the most beautiful terrace in town with the views of the old part of the town and the castle. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious! The staff was amazing, very communicative and helpful.

The owner of this hotel was amazing! She was so friendly, checked us in, hosted breakfast and checked us out. Excellent service and the restaurant was great too.
The view from our room was incredible - stunning views of the castle across the river.

The view was stunning. Breakfast was also very good. Our only problem was our room on the top fourth floor with no elevator. We had to get suitcases to the top floor ourselves..narrow and uneven stairs. I worried about getting the cases down but actually easier going down. I will never laugh at tiny elevators again at least they get cases to top floors.
Hard for 70 plus with no elevator

The location is excellent overlooking the river and castle. It gets the sun for most of the day and especially in the evening when the town of Cochem is in the shade. When the restaurant is open I have always found the meals to be exceptional.
As you will see below, staff shortages due to Covid 19 did affect our stay, but I love staying at this hotel and will continue to use it on my travels in the future and would continue to recommend it.
I have previously stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed.
We had travelled over five hours on a motorcycle in temperatures of up to 40 degrees, and we were weary. On our arrival we found the front door of the hotel locked. The sign on the door explaining how to obtain the hotel and room key, was in German and we obtained the keys after 25 minutes suffering in the baking heat outside.
We later found out that this anomaly was due to staff shortages, as a result of Covid19. The restaurant was also closed for the same reasons, which was disappointing.
Many other restaurants were also closed due to staff shortages.
Breakfast the following morning was very good and set us up for the day.

The hotel location (on quiet side of Cochem), the hotel itself with the stone walls and wood beams, the incredible view of the castle, the extensive breakfast including fried eyes (wunderbar), the evening meals (5/5) were the best in town and our room had a walk out patio to enjoy the river/town activities.
Due to unforeseen staff shortages the hotel was closed for service in the afternoon.

First, I need to thank the owner of the hotel who picked @ midnight from Cochem railway station due to DB train delays. She drove 15 km from her home, to pick me from station and drop me in hotel. Owner went all out of the way to help me in the middle of the night as I was first time in Cochem and that was very personal. Thank you So much.
Homely and pleasant stay in a comfy & traditional hotel in Cochem city center with a scenic view of castle and river. Superb restaurant with delicious dinners in two consecutive nights. Staff are more attentive and friendly. Hotel also owns vineyards and they have a wine (riesling) tasting session in the afternoon in the hotel basement which I enjoyed. I will be back again.
Wifi connections could have been better.

Breakfast was really great with both cold and maybe one warm option which is the eggs, cooked to your style and ours even came with bacon!
The castle view outside the window is just magical. I knew coming in what it looked like but the pictures on the internet make you think the castle occupies a small part of the view but nope, its really the highlight of our window view outside.
No elevator but that's fine with us.

This classic hotel is on the quieter side of Cochem and we had a wonderful view of the Moselle and the Eltz Castle. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious served in elegant dining rooms by a very nice hostess.

I planned this trip last minute. Normally, I study the language before I arrive. The hotel staff was so nice. Their Sauvignon Blanc was yummy. My room had a beautiful view. I cannot thank them more for their kindness. (Plus dairy free.)

I absolutely loved the location, you have a perfect view of the castle from this hotel. They also have open restaurant next to the river, where you can sit and enjoy drinks and food. There is also a winery where you can go for a wine tasting session with a perfect view and you can buy some really good wines for adorable prices. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Talking to them in English was no problem.

The hotel has an amazing last century vibe like 70's-80's style. We liked that very much and the view was incredible from the room! Definitely recommend staying here!
Bathroom was okay but very tiny, as someone of average height (185cm) I almost touched the ceiling with my head haha
