The staff were very polite and willing to help in any way possible. Reminded me of the Ritz Carlton
The location was difficult to access. To go to town you had to walk down very steep stairs and a hundred of them.
Back up was worse. No public transportation would get you close to the hotel. Getting a taxi or Uber was our only method of getting to and from town to the hotel. So if you want to go out for dinner, add another 40.00 to the cost of the meal. For the ,money charged per night they should offer a car service up and down the hill for the guests.

The villa felt like home. We could have stayed a month, we were so happy there. Especially loved the pool and jacuzzi, but overall, the atmosphere was so charming and relaxing. The concierge called for a taxi when we'd been left without one. Can't wait to stay there again.

Breakfast was excellent as was everything. Employees were exceptional.
I really cannot think of anything except perhaps an additional massage room with masseuse.

View form Hotel is breathtaking, the service, welcome drink, the restaurant that was closed but a wonderful room service.
The direction to the Spa area was confusing and should be better signed but it was well worthwhile getting lost in this beautiful demeure.

This hotel features outstandingly practical and beautiful rooms with a premium sight across the city of Lyon. Its Location over both rivers, the short walk up to the church hill and to the Beef street is the most practical in Lyon. The restaurant and spa facilities are outstanding, the service is excellent. Staff is efficient and service ready. I especially loved the historical layout of the building. Its easy to get lost.

The veiw
During the day no bar was open no food options except for room service, plus restaurant was booked out for that night- for a 5 star hotel they should provide other options - We arrive around 12.30pm kitchen shut for lunch at 1pm- no bar no other food options, we had just driven 5 hours to sit in our room for room service- so we decided to check out immediately and drive to Geneva and stay at the four seasons where they know about service.

Amazing place! Former monastery turned into a luxury hotel but what it really sets apart is the amazing staff. Never ever stay anywhere else in Lyon.

We loved the staff. They were all extremely nice and helpful.
The location is excellent. And the building is beautiful.
The quality of the room and bathrooms was not acceptable for the price.
The shower handle was full of limestone. The shower was inside the bathtub and the accessories were old.
The pillows were not comfortable.

What to say - a stunning loaction for a 5 star hotel situated in a former monastry with an overviewing city look of Lyon. Great Breakfast, well trained, friendly and foremost anticipating staff. Nice Pool & Jacuzzi with a great view to Lyon.
If there is something to mention ....and that goes to a very personal taste - I would recommend to have either or design or antique furnitures for the rooms. It would fit better and would support the overall charme of this location as these very traditional furnitures.....but as I wrote...this is a very sujective view and my personal matter of taste.

beautiful swimming pool area with sauna and heated beds with fabulous views over beautiful Lyon. Breakfast was excellent and served either inside or outside. the bed was very comfortable. all staff were very helpful and friendly.
the hotel is located halfway up a very steep hill overlooking Lyon. this sounds nice but there are zero shops or restaurants without going down very steep steps (+100) down into the old town. the hotel restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday so you have no alternative than make the climb down and back up. room 15 is on the top floor. it's small and only has an in bath shower with difficult access. the bath taps were stuck so a shower was the only option

The rooms were fabulous. The size of the rooms, the cleanliness, and the housekeeping was FANTASTIC.
I wished they had a cozy bar.
