Superb
Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to all ski resorts as the free shuttle is a 2 minute walk away. Hakuba central is a short 5-10min walk down the hill. Great breakfasts and nice common room where you can meet other travellers.

Great quieter place to stay as a family. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly staff who will help with restaurant bookings, advice and lifts to nearby locations if they are not too busy. So convenient to have a hot breakfast everyday to let you get straight out to the slopes.Delicious pizza option at night as well.
Not much not to like.

Great place, weak service
Nice common room enough space and pickup or dropoff service from bus stop.. Rooms were clean.
Staff is just hanging around everywhere. Heating did not work in the room and just 'o sorry'. Did not feel like they wanted to work or provide service to guests, they seem to be on holiday also. We walked to the ski piste and other areas for the first 2 days. 3rd day we asked for a ride (other guests used everyday) and were told it's not a service and we shouldn't expect anything. Not the friendliest vibe at times

Very good
breakfast is good and changed daily , staff is helpful and freindly, they served the best pizza in town. There is not a lot of restaurants around the hotels but generally we could enjoy our stay

Not good enough
The only staff member I could rate highly was an Australian guy (didn't catch his name but his uniform seemed to be Christmas pyjama pants and a hoodie). He was great.
We had three beds across the four bunk room and two bunk room. So many negatives - The shower (the only one) was full of dead bugs, mould and hair. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Nagano Olympics and it was not cleaned at all during the entirety of our stay. The toilets and sink were also dirty and not cleaned during our stay. I wiped down that sink more than the staff did. I had to notify staff when the hand soap ran out. Took them several hours to replace because they "forgot". I also had to tell them when the toilet paper was running out. Bit ridiculous seeing as the toilets are also used by the entire lodge, not just the people in the shared rooms so they should be checked/cleaned more often. I was also asked by staff if the shampoo bottle needed replacing. Here's a tip, check it yourself. I was on a bottom bunk and could see that the mattress above me was severely stained (large, deep red stains). Shared rooms are located in the lodge storage area. Baskets of dirty laundry and boxes lined the walls. Rooms are not soundproof. Could hear everything through the walls, including staff planning their partying from the common area at night. The shared accommodation is not even an afterthought, it was just forgotten (seems like some bunk beds were thrown into some cupboards to get some extra money). Staff were not helpful or particularly friendly and were witnessed sitting on the tables where breakfast was to be served despite stools being nearby. When people called in to order pizza, staff could be heard from the common area reading out customer credit card numbers to pay over the phone. Offered collection from the station but were late and failed to notify. I had to make contact telling them we were there. Everything is at least a 15-minute walk. Five-minute walk to a shuttle to take you to the lifts. Honestly, some of these are simple things that should not be occurring if you are running a business. Do better.
