Location and views

Excellent location and view, great outdoor areas, superb pool, quiet, air-conditioning in every room if needed, and insect screens on windows.

Would like to see more comfortable beds and showers are the old style hand held type

Amazing location and host!

The location is amazing and the views beautiful. The hostess was so kind and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had the best holiday thanks to her. The walk into the town was fine but the path was rather steep so probably not for those with mobility issues. The accommodation was very clean and the bins, beds and towels were changed several times while we were there. There are plenty of places to eat within a 10 minute walk and also 2 supermarkets. Soap, washing up liquid and tea and coffee were all provided as well as bottled water and a couple of cans of local beer! We had an amazing stay here and would definitely come back.

incredible view, I recommend the upper floor apartments with spacious private balconies taking in the view. pool was beautiful but too cold to swim on our stay. apartment very clean and spacious. agia effimia great location to base a kefalonia holiday.

Mare e Verde was a wonderful place to relax and unwind with lovely sea swimming and tavernas nearby.

We were warmly greeted. The owner took lots of time to welcome us, explain things and answer our questions. They were extremely helpful and were also on hand as they lived on site, but were very respectful of our privacy. We were given a very spacious, clean, comfortable apartment with great views.

It was perfect

Everything. It was huge, had amazing views, very clean. We were on the ground floor & had a large garden area with multiple sun beds, tables & chairs. The swimming pool was bliss with the most amazing views. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us & within easy walking distance to a small beach and the port, shops and restaurants etc. I would definitely return.

I liked everything. Although it is up a very steep hill, this didn’t bother us, but it wouldn’t be suitable for people with mobility issues unless they had a car.

Stunning views, wonderful pool area, spacious apartment and friendly, helpful host.

The apartment had a large terrace area, lots of seating and a BBQ. Inside the apartment was immaculately clean and the facilities were good. Cleaning was done daily to a high standard. The pool and the area around it was immaculate and the view absolutely stunning. Our host Georgia was very friendly and helpful. All in all really excellent accommodation.

A bit of building noise in the distance was about as bad as it got. The walk up the hill was steep but not a problem if you're reasonably fit.

A beautiful and cozy place to stay with amazing sea views

We loved that the owner is very involved and takes the time to meet and get to know the guests.

Our only two complains are that the mattress weren’t that comfortable and the fact that there weren’t enough cooking utensils to really cook at the apartment. It has the minimum, which is fine for breakfast, but not if you want to cook a nice dinner during your stay.

Lovely apartment, friendly and welcoming host

We loved the views, the apartment, pool and the welcome from the owner. Some of the basics were appreciated like a little wash up liquid, washing powder and soap in bathrooms. They had hand sanitizer and cleaning regime adjusted for COVID-19.

You get used to the walk up the hill after a couple of times, but it's worth it for the views and privacy.

The most blissful stay with perfect views, lovely sea swimming and gorgeous pool.

The most beautiful views, a lovely villa, a gorgeous pool. Walk down the drive, turn left and there are a few steps down to some rocks into the sea. The location is perfect. It's a short walk into the village where there are plenty of places to eat, amazing ice cream, fabulous family bakers, several supermarkets, ability to hire boats and lots of beautiful boats to look at in the harbour. It's about an hour's drive to lots of nice things to see or you hire a boat and explore the coast. The hosts are lovely and look after whatever you need - the DVD player didn't work, it was replaced within 24 hours. Comfy beds, lovely chairs to sit on or lounge on outside or by the pool. Free wifi was great to have. There are stray cats all around Greece - this area is no different, we quite liked them but understand not everyone does. There is a walk up to the villa from the village, sometimes we drove and sometimes we walked - good exercise!!

While the kitchen has all the electrics you need eg kettle, coffee maker, toaster etc. We were short on mugs, glasses, serving bowls eg to put fruit or a salad into. It was the end of the season, so I anticipate that will be sorted for next year.

Perfect

Everything, we have just returned from 10 nights at Verde e Mare, in one of the 3 bedroom apartments, which is a lovely property owned and run by the lovely Giorgia and her son, she was very helpful and gave us lots of information The views from the terrace and pool were fantastic and we said it would be hard to beat these views anywhere in the World. I expect everyone does their research so will know that the property is up a steepish, but short hill, which you soon get used and helps to shed the pounds from eating in the many restaurants in town and is more than made up for by the views at the top. Excellent, would definitely return
