Perfect place for a weekend break in Clifden

Location is superb just a very short walk to all the shops, bars, and restaurants in Clifden. Friendly welcomming and helpful staff. Easy check in. Great breakfast in a lovely dining room.

Desmond and Eileen are wonderful hosts. The location is perfect for visiting Clifden. We loved the history and the welcoming atmosphere of the Ben View House. And breakfast was amazing. Thank you!

perfect location in the town centre

spacious room, location perfect for having pints and more within walking distance, free of charge street parking between 6pm and 11.30am, very friendly landlady, tasty breakfast

been to other B&B in Clifden before, rooms here were not quite cosy when compared, therefore not a 10. Nonetheless, still highly recommended

I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights at Ben View Guesthouse, and will most certainly stay there again when I’m back in Cli

I received a very warm welcome upon arrival, and spent two very comfortable nights at Ben View Guesthouse. It’s in an excellent location in Clifden, within very close proximity to the main street; the accommodation, room and bathroom are spotless; my bed was so comfortable; and the breakfast was so tasty and filling, for a day’s exploring around the beautiful surroundings of Clifden and the wider Connemara area.

There is nothing whatsoever that I didn’t like.

Friendly old fashioned b&b, warm and comfortable. Incredible breakfast, great food and lots of it, with choices of salmon, full Irish or pancakes as well as cereal and orange, all served with fresh sliced fruit. The host and staff were so friendly and nice. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there.

The Connemara was great, with a stay in the Ben View Lodge.

Great accommodation in the capital of Connemara. Large room with windows overlooking the Clifden the street. Found street parking out front available and free overnight. Dez, the owner, has extensive experience being third generation hotelier, at the same location! I happened to be there just before the Connemara Pony Auction and the town was buzzing. Several nice restaurants within walking distance as well as Maureen O'Hara's favorite woolen shop. Lots of history in the area with Marconi's first trans-Atlantic wireless transmission received and sent. Kylemore Abbey and Glenveigh Castle are close by. A German film crew member was at the B&B getting ready to start filming. Dez provided a wonderful experience.

That I could not have stayed longer.

beautiful B&B in the heart of Clifden! room very well equipped, spacious and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, but the best part were the delightful hosts Des and Eileen Thank you for your sweet hospitality!

A beautiful bed and breakfast. House amazing, room fantastic, breakfast worthy of Michelin star.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing, I didn't know whether to photograph it or eat it. It tasted as good as it looked. Dessie was so friendly and welcoming, house has a lot of history and is extremely welcoming. Anyone passing on this bed n breakfast will have lost out. We definetly will be back. Top marks from us. Michelle n Tony. Dublin.

Convenient and very comfortable.

Welcome was very good. Staff were very helpful and gave good advice on eating places and local places of interest. Accommodation was dated but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the waitress was excellent.

This is a little gem in Clifden. If you like quirky you will love this. Location is perfect. Close walk to all pubs and restaurants. Exceptional attention to detail with the breakfast. This is a b and b ran with great pride.

Perfect location and wonderful hosts, for traditional Irish stay

Very friendly hosts, warm comfortable rooms, great location and wonderful breakfast. The property has been in the owners family for generations and was lovely to see all the old family photographs

Absolutely fabulous place The best I've ever stayed in.Des and the 2 ladies helping him were amazing.the place was so comfortable and warm. Breakfast was gorgeous and anything you could ask for. The rooms very cosy and warm. Fresh white towels every day. Great location.a little gem Thanks

Des is such a gent, he really made us feel at home. The bnb is right in the middle of town, so ideal location. The breakfast was better than any hotel breakfast I've had, absolutely delicious. Homemade brown bread included! Couldn't recommend more

The accommodation is basic, but we were more than happy with it for the price and all the good things more than made up for it
