Absolutely beautiful apartment in a perfect location, 4 min walk to a major tube station whilst still being able to feel tucked away out of the rush of everyday London. Jacqui was an excellent host with lots of communication prior to and during the stay, offering advise on places to visit/restaurants to eat at. Already planning a trip back here for next year! George.
The flat manages to be both around the corner from a great food market, close to transport and a short stroll to the Underground. Yet it is quiet and tranquil.
It is perfectly clean, well appointed and quite lovely. I can't imagine it could have been better. The experience was faultless. Thank you. Stephen.
Jacqui's apartment is perfect. Need I say more? Everything from the location to the luxurious furnishings, to the pampering bath gels, to the quiet at night, to the view of the Shard, to its proximity to Borough Market and the Tube. Everything. A great apartment from which to enjoy London. Thank you Jacqui! Shira.
The Neighbourhood...
You will be staying in the best & one of the oldest areas of central London for interesting things to do. A visit to The Shard is a must, the view from the top is spectacular and their restaurants and cocktail bars are fabulous! The New Tate Modern is just down the road, the River Thames with its amazing views and river walk is minutes away and access to Covent Garden and Oxford Street is easy.
The Boot & Flogger Wine Bar is downstairs and can be accessed through the Courtyard and from the road. It has great food and is an atmospheric, traditional city wine bar. It closes at 11 and has a quiet clientele.
There are hundreds of restaurants on your door step including Brindisa (delicious Tapas), The Wright Brothers (famous for its' Seafood), Elliott's (a quirky but delicious menu) all in Borough Market, just minutes away. By the River near Tower Bridge is the famous Pont de la Tour & The Chop House plus several lovely restaurants - the list in endless! We recommend searching for a complete list of choices & reviews in Trip Advisor or Time Out restaurant guide on-line.
Access to the apartment -Please read before booking...
Normal check-in time is from 4pm, if the flat is available we are happy to accommodate an early check-in. We can receive guests between 8.30am - 10.30pm, if you need to arrive outside of this time period please enquire if we can meet you before you book.
You access the property using a fob key through big, secure, double external doors leading into a pretty cobbled courtyard. The same fob accesses another door on the left, which takes you up two flights of stairs to our apartment. There isn't a lift, but the stairs are manageable.
Getting around....
London Bridge tube station is a couple of minutes walk away. Buses & Taxis run regularly along Southwark Street around the corner from the apartment. Waterloo Station for British Rail is a 15 minute walk away, London Bridge British rail is 5 minutes walk and the river boats that run along the Thames are nearby.

Property was clean and had everything we needed as advertised. The bed was very comfortable. Thanks for a great London visit!

Loved our stay here. Very close to public transit and very easy to get around. The flat was very clean , and well furnished. The steps are tricky to carry up heavy luggage but we managed. Would stay here again.

This is a very spacious, beautifully-decorated apartment; we appreciated having use of a fridge, microwave, laundry, and room to spread out. It is in a good location - just a few mins walk to Borough Market, which we visited daily, and London Bridge station which easily connected us to other areas in London. Lots of windows for fresh air and great views. So glad we had a visit to the wine bar downstairs. Jacqui was very responsive, and we appreciate that she was able to accommodate our arrival time. Be aware there are quite a few tight winding flights of stairs - good exercise but not easy carrying our very large suitcases up and down. Next time we will pack lighter - and we do hope there will be a next time soon... we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

The flat was amazing and in a great location.

Great flat, perfectly placed near London bridge tube. Modern fittings, very quiet building and street -- considering its close the rail lines its VERY quite. Owners were very accommodating. I would always opt to stay here moving forward vice a crowded hotel.

This apartment is charming, updated beautifully, very comfortable. Excellent kitchen appliances; terrific bathroom shower! Views of the Shard from various windows!! This apartment is perfectly located as 'home base' for our 2-week London Christmas stay: just minutes away from the amazing Borough Market, Southwark Cathedral, various shops, cafés, grocery stores, pubs, tube stations. Even Tate Modern & St. Paul's was well within walking distance! We've stayed in various London neighborhoods over the years, & this one is our favorite. Access to the host was easy & excellent; & the apartment is at least as good a represented on VRBO. We highly recommend this apartment & location at any time of year.

The condition of the property was perfect. Even better, if possible, was its location, situated just steps from Borough Market, itself steps from the London Bridge Underground station, and the city of London, please before you see within a mile or so. Should I be visiting London again, I will certainly check for availability before looking elsewhere. It is located on the quiet side street, over a restaurant that is absolutely worth a try while you are there.

Perfectly located a short walk to Borough Market and London Bridge Station. Apartment is well appointed, quiet, and secure. Host is accommodating and communicative. Highly recommend as a base of operations for a visit to London. Huge bathroom compared to most London apartments!

My wife and I absolutely loved this flat. It was close to everything (great food, drinks, shops, etc). The flat was well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable, bathroom modern, and layout was relaxing. We have stayed at many places, and this is one of our all-time favorite! And, the owner was great to work with, which made our stay even better. Highly recommend.

Great location so easy to get around to every place that you’d want to visit. So close to many restaurants and pubs as well as the Brough market.

This flat worked out great for my wife and I to explore London. It is very short walk to London Bridge tube and Bourgh Market where you will find great food at a reasonable price. Jacqui was quick to respond to any query we had and gave us the information we needed before we even asked. Loved it.

We could not have asked for a nicer apartment. The location mixes old and new London- a few short blocks to The Globe, Borough Market (which is a lot of fun) and the Tate Modern. The full kitchen had everything we could have asked for. Both the kitchen and bathroom looked like they had been recently renovated. Having read a past review I was a little concerned about the noise because I can be sensitive to it but it was barely noticeable. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, impeccably clean and comfy flat - it is even more lovely and spacious than the pictures show. The neighborhood is charming close to restaurants and the colorful, joyful, bustling Borough Market where you can source delicious snacks, fresh gourmet meals and provisions. The flat is close to bus and train lines and offers views of the Shard, Gherkin and other sites. The only suggestion would be a code or lock box for entry. Lucky for us the hosts were understanding when our flight was very delayed, but we wished we hadn't had to put them out. We would definitely stay here again. The location and the flat were ideal!

A delightful apartment near the Borough market and the Shard. Very easy access to the tube and buses. Very busy at the moment, lots of crowds. Many restaurants and food eating. A superb flat.
4.8
Very good location. You can really explore Borough Market from here. Convenient tube stops.
4.8
We loved: the proximity to Borough Market, the bars and food outlets. Ability to walk/run to the river, Bridge Theatre. Convenience to Tube line. Apartment is well equipped and comfortable. We would stay here again.
4.8
We had a fabulous 10 days staying in this very well equipped apartment so close to London Bridge tube and a Borough market. An historic location very close to the Thames with a stunning view of the Shard.
4.8
Excellent, close to tube which we rode everywhere! Close to river and lots of restaurants!
4.8
I could not say enough about this property. It is located in the most convenient area next to anything and everything you would like to do. Public transportation is close and the street itself has deep roots in the history of London. Our host was kind, helpful and communicative! I recommend if you come to London you stay here! The flat is comfortable with all the accommodations that you need and views that are unbelievable.

We had a terrible stay at this condo. Jaqui failed to realize that we were checking out on a holiday, so there was no way to drop the keys at the location provided. Everything was closed.
We did the best that we could, but she was so rude, and trashed us for her error.
The location was great, but other than that, it’s not worth it. It’s also very loud, as the train runs right next to it.

My husband and I enjoyed our 13 day stay in this apartment. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The only problem we had with the kitchen is that the stove would not recognize our little Italian coffee pot, and, therefore, we lugged our coffee pot, our foamer and our coffee for naught. We’ve never encountered that type of stove before so didn’t realize it would be a problem.
The 42 stairs are not a problem, but we were coming home on the Queen Mary II and had 5 suitcases (much more than normal due to elegant evening attire) and the stairs are not only very narrow; they are very angular. So, it was very difficult for us to maneuver our luggage up and down the stairs. This should not be a problem under normal circumstances. I wound be very careful using the hooks by the front door as one fell off when I hung my raincoat in it and the screw that fell out was very short.
All in all, it was a wonderful apartment, the pub around the corner stores luggage, which was a godsend and the area (London Bridge underground stop) is great. We loved Borough Market and The George ((one of London’s oldest & best) is nearby. We wound not hesitate to return to this apartment. Thank you, Jacqui. For our lovely stay.

This lovely flat is located very close to the Southwark market, London Bridge Tube station, many terrific restaurants, and river walks. We enjoyed picking up breakfast, lunch or dinner at the market and taking them back to the flat when we needed a break. Jacqui was a gracious host and very responsive and helpful. We definitely recommend this flat and would stay there again.

This apartment was amazing. Great location and truly felt like a home away from home. The host was amazing and worked with me through some payment issues and travel delays. We would stay here again and would recommend it to others. 5 STARS!!

We loved the location and really enjoyed our stay. the apartment was perfect for our needs.

We had a wonderful stay. Proximity to Borough Market was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the layout of the flat. Although there was active construction across the street, it was only while we were out touring during the day. The only challenge for us was taking our luggage up and down 42 stairs ( we’re in our 70s).

Excellent property
This is a lovely VRBO property which is in the most favorable location and only steps to the Borrow Market and all the amenities around London Bridge. Jacqui was wonderful to communicate with and willing to adjust our departure time when there was some open time after our booking. Nokka the cleaning lady was wonderful.

Perfect location
This apartment was ideal in location for me and my 22 year old daughter. We spent hours at Borough Market, walking to the Tower bridge, Tate modern and 100’s of restaurants. Staying above the Boot and Flogger was perfect!

Lovely flat
The flat was absolutely lovely and the location and neighborhood were perfect. Endless restaurants and shops in the area, making it extremely walkable. Jacqui was also great with messaging g and staying in contact.

Fabulous!
We could not be happier with this apartment! First of all, Jacqui allowed us to check in earlier. After many hours of
international travel, it was such a blessing to be able to get into the apartment and settle in. Secondly, the apartment was of a very nice size. Everything is working and everything is clean.
The location was excellent too. We were able to visit a lot of traditional London eateries and do so shopping.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. A word of warning, if you have a lot of luggage, be ready for the stairs!
Thank you Jacqui.
This was a really great stay!
