Friendly staff, great amenities and located in the most accessible part of La Candalaria
They won’t let visitors inside unless they are guests

the vibes were great despite the low season, nice people, food and cool bar area to chill
plug sockets were a bit loose for charging but not a big problem

Great layout and easy to meet other travellers, lots of tours being offered, staff are friendly, the cafe does really good coffee and food (also highly recommend the nearby local restaurant Di Amato).
Prices are a bit high for food and coffee, but the quality is excellent. Too much sugar in the mojitos!

The room was clean and spacious enough. They stored my backpack for a couple of days free of charge.
Some member of the staff at the breakfast kitchen was really rude and impolite. The hostel does not feel really social even though the common areas are nice.

Hi, we usually tend to avoid trendy international travellers' spots but being the last of the 30 nights spent with my family in Colombia we wanted to have it easy. I must say it was one of our best accomodation experiences we have had during our trip. The staff was friendly and exteremely helpful, the facility itself clean and perfect, value-to-money ratio absolutely correct. Fully recommended !
Nothing to mention. Or maybe... we suggest you improve a bit your margarita at the bar. Be aware your customers, thanks to their hardly earned Colombian experience, are spoilt and demanding !
4.5
The staff were wonderful in helping me connect with the airline who had mislaid my luggage. I felt very supported and it made a huge difference to my stress levels - I'd like to thank them enormously :)
Nothing - a great hostel and I'd highly recommend it to other single mature female travellers like myself!

The staff at the front desk were super friendly and really helpful. The common area was also really big.
The hostel wasn’t always the most social, but obviously that has to do more with the guests staying at the hostel than the property itself.

The staff was lovely ! We had a cute room and the location was perfect. We recommand the food tour !

Even if you did not have time to plan your trip , you will have plenty of things to do with the help of the staff there , many tours are available, staff can also arrange Spanish and dance lessons , I enjoyed both with Natalia and Lena
The mattress was a little firm for my taste, otherwise nothing else to complain about

The hostel is in a super good position, the rooms, bathrooms and showers were clean and comfortable. We made the city tour with Luciani and it was super interesting and funny.
The food is quite expansive, you can just go 30metres outside from the Hostel to find super good and cheap Colombian food.

Cranky Croc is in a perfect location for walking around Candelaria. Lots of restaurants and sights are within walking distance. The room was very comfortable and quiet and situated in the back of the hostel away from the common area. There is a large refrigerator and cooking area as well as a comfortable lounge area. The staff was friendly and enjoyable to interact with. We enjoyed the breakfast we had as well. They offer many guided activities although we didn't participate in any.
4.5
Very friendly staff, good place to meet people and GREAT coffee. The private room was small but clean. Convenient location to explore Candelaria!
Only minor issues: The window of the private room leads to an attic and the handle was broken, the soap dispensers of the restrooms had no soap.

Bed was a bit hard for my taste. Everything else was great.

the bathroom was very clean, and generally the room was clean as well. it has a very cute terrace, the vibe in the restaurant at night was great too. the noise cancellation worked pretty good. the food and drinks were very good too. they organize different activities every day, but are a bit pricey
the bed was extremely uncomfortable; it was very warm in the room without the possibility to really ventilate it any other way than by opening the door.
4.5
I had a private room and it was fantastic. (I actually want to steal the design ideas for my own apartment!). People were friendly and the staff was helpful, patient and kind. The location is really central for the Candelaria area of Bogota. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood. The food and bar staff is great too. Do the waterfall hike!!! Go to the Botero museum!!
More of a suggestion for the hostel going forward: Offer a walking/biking tour of La Macarena neighborhood so that visitors have a chance to see more culture and sights than just La Candelaria!

excellent shared living spaces, very friendly staff, great breakfasts although not included.
Our room was slightly on the small side and the showers were warm.

friendliness of staff
the double room was a little on the small slide - no private bathrooms for private rooms, all shared

24 hour reception for very late airplane arrival in the night. Just ring the bell

the location was great, in la candelaria so walking distance from lots of great sightseeing things. the staff was amazing and changed my room with no problem as the 1st room I had was in front of the laundry room and next to the common area so a bit nosy. would definitely stay again!
there is nothing not to like

a good hostel with a nice vibe. Great location and the staff were very helpful.
nothing much really. maybe slightly overpriced for my dorm and the charging points were inside your locker but I'm only nit picking as I'd definitely stay there again 100%!

The quintessential hostel. A place to meet new friends, try new things and feel the pulse of the neighborhood. We stayed in a private room, but everywhere looked clean and bright. The sleeping areas were expertly placed away from the communal areas so even when people stayed up late, we couldn’t hear any noise from our room.
