About this villa rental
Our seafront Villa Alexia is set in a stunning location in the northern desirable part of Corfu. The Villa is south facing, benefiting from good light throughout the day and access to clear waters protected from the north-westerly prevailing winds. It is set in 1.2 acres of green and rocky land of mostly olive and cypress trees. The big oak tree set ten meters away from the sea that provides natural shade from the burning sun for al-fresco dinning is a rarity owed to the seasonal river that runs adjacent to the property.
Although the 265 msq (2853 sqft) air-conditioned Villa is let as one it is composed of three independent apartments sharing the wonderful outside space; it sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms.
Previous guests, mostly extended families or friends, have remarked how this setup allows them to enjoy privacy when they choose to take some moments away from the group. The morning swim is only 10m away, where if you choose you can have a power-boat moored, awaiting to whisk you away to explore the nearby beaches or seafront tavernas that pepper the shore-line. Whether you cook or order lunch at the villa you can enjoy it as a big group (12) at the outside seating area under the oak tree shade. In the afternoon the poolside lounge chairs allow you to enjoy a book or a cocktail in comfort while you dip in and out of the 9 x 4.5 m pool.
Dinner cαn be cooked on the build-in barbecue and you can enjoy the sunset hour colours sipping of a fresh juice or wine as a group, or break up in smaller groups and explore the choice of the different cozy areas in the grounds, such as the raised circular veranda, the terraced area next to the well, the large beach rocks or find your own favourite spot.
Local mini-markets (e.g. Aphrodite's) will take your shopping order and deliver it free of charge. We, the owners, will be happy to accommodate guests’ wishes relating to any aspect of their stay, by prior arrangement.
Do you need hire a car? You will need a car to visit other parts of Corfu and there is plenty to see and take part to – During the summer, in the town of Corfu, there take place many cultural events and free open concerts with our famous bands. Most of our guests do hire a car but not for the whole of their stay; they enjoy the serenity of the villa and the surroundings. There are several car-hire agencies in the area to choose among and hire-return the car when you wish.
Boat hire: You can hire a boat from nearby Nissaki Boat Rentals (click on the map to see it), which you can moor at a jetty our property is sharing with the adjacent property of my brother. Depending on the weather, the boat rental staff may choose to take it back at night to moor it more safely at their location and bring it back at your chosen time in the morning at no extra cost to you.
Layout of the villa
Upper floor: Three bedrooms with balconies (1 double, 2 twin), living and dining room with view to the sea, sitting room, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms.
Ground floor apartment: Two twin bedrooms, living and dining room, kitchen, bathroom and terrace.
The Studio: One double bedroom, living and dining room with bar kitchen, bathroom.
All openings (windows and veranda doors) are equipped with mosquito nets.
Thanks to three routers, there is strong WiFi signal anywhere in the villa and the pool area.
The villa is also ideal for special events, e.g. wedding receptions!
The property boundaries are fenced and the gate is remotely controlled. Inside the gate there is ample room to park safely 4-5 cars!

A lovely comfortable place to stay for a multigenerational family holiday. The Villa was exactly as described in info - next to the sea, with its own small rocky beach, wonderful pool and outside eating/catching up areas. Very helpful owners.

It was very well organised with lots of help getting shopping delivered, despite the supermarket web page not yet set up. Ditto boat hire as we were there just pre season, but boats were launched nonetheless. The villa was excellent for our needs with studio for grandparents and apartments for each of the two young families. Plenty of equipment for catering. Lastly, thanks to Maria and her family, any requests were dealt with immediately.

We were 4 families staying at Villa Alexia and it could not have been more perfect. The property has plenty of space for everyone to be together or find their own quiet nook.

The views from this home are exactly as pictured in the listing. It is one of very few homes on the East side of the Island that is on the water, with its own beach access and a large private pool. The home is great for families of all ages - we had two children and an infant stay in the unit comfortably. The set up also allows for multiple families to stay together across the three separate units. Spiros and Maria were great hosts and easy to communicate with, they even arranged our transport and provided a welcome basket of goods waiting for us when we arrived. I would recommend this property to others.

Our two families - 4 adults, 7 kids - spent a fabulous week at Villa Alexia this half term. The property is quite old fashioned so don’t expect a modern style villa - but that’s how we like it. Facilities wise it has everything families need and is comfortable and cool. But don’t come here for that, come for the location and aspect which is absolutely fantastic. Having our own pool, beach and privacy in such a beautiful setting was magical. And it’s a special place for nature lovers. Lizards, Sardinian Warblers and butterflies by day, Scops owls, bats and moths by night plus loads to see with a snorkel. And the location is brilliant for exploring the north of Corfu - from the countless coves, beaches and tavernas to the mountains. We will be back - thank you Maria, Costos, Spiros for a fabulous stay.

"Six months ago when I began planning a trip to Corfu, I looked at many villas for rent and finally decided on Villa Alexia, primarily because of its size and close proximity to the sea. I could not have chosen a better place.
Our group of eight adults consisted of two couples from France and a family from the United States. We had all been vaccinated but with Covid still hanging over our heads, the villa provided enough space for everyone to feel at ease while offering wonderful gathering spots outside......either upstairs on the balcony, by the pool or downstairs at the large table under the trees. Our hosts, Maria and Spiros, were always available to answer any questions and provided us with invaluable information, such as where to get Covid tests before our return home. They even generously offered a cake and champagne for one of the guest's birthday on our first night of arrival.
The villa is equipped with everything one needs. Having three kitchens , one upstairs and two downstairs, is an added plus. We often cooked and it was helpful to take dishes from downstairs to the table by the sea. We could also use the dishwasher in the back apartment when we had too many dishes to carry upstairs.
A couple of practical considerations for those wishing to rent the Villa: Corfu is not flat and there are hills everywhere. Because the villa is built on a hillside, it has many steps. For those with mobility issues (bad knees, for example), the apartment or studio downstairs is an ideal option. The wonderful sea at the doorstep is also a great asset but the shore and seabed are rocky and can be slippery. Some wore Crocs to wade into the sea but they became cumbersome for swimming. It definitely would be helpful to have a pair of water shoes.
An added bonus for animal lovers: a marvelous Tabby that we named Palamaki visited every day and showered us with purr-fect affection.
I can't believe that it has been two weeks since I first arrived at the villa. Our time there was like a dream and we certainly hope to return some day.

We really enjoyed our stay at villa Alexia. We loved the ability to swim off the small pebble beach just outside the gate of the house. The water is clear and beautiful. We loved watching the moon from the top terrace at night. The owner is super helpful and responded very quickly to all requests. The only thing I would say it that the top kitchen is really tiny if you plan on cooking for a large group. This also limits the number of people who can have breakfast in the kitchen (2 at most). Nevertheless, there is an outdoor barbecue which we enjoyed, and the outdoor dining table right by it is in a lovely spot. The house is really quirky with its three separate units (it did not bother us). The house’s biggest asset is its location, with its special direct access to the sea, and the outside space.

This villa is very unique and situated in a stunning location. We have been to Corfu many times in the last couple of years, and we wanted to visit again and chose this villa for its location and size so that we were able to cerebrate our wedding/honeymoon with our family members.
The owners were very generous and provided a beautiful cake and champagne so that we could toast our marriage. And complimentary transfers to the air port. It was very thoughtful and kind of them.
The villa is split into three apartments, all of them with well stocked kitchens and plenty of clean towels in the bedrooms. Being split like this worked well for us. It gave all of us some privacy, we then all came together to eat on the first floor, the metal balcony area on the first floor was a great place to meet and socialize as a family. We spent one evening watching the most amazing thunder and lighting storm, all very exciting. There are plenty of places around the villa to just sit and relax or read a book.
The pool is a good size for swimming , its location looking over the sea was amazing. The pool was a good size and was used frequently, its a beautiful spot to just sit and get the most amazing views over the sea to Albania. Or just watching the sun come up at day break. One morning I witnessed a whale breaking water out to sea.
Although the local area was somewhat quiet we still found lots to do. We hired a car for a couple of days to explore and to visit Kalami and to Sidari to see the Chanal d' Amour.
We also hired a boat for the day to go fishing and to have lunch in Agios Stefanos. I can highly recommend this place. This was a beautiful traditional Greek harbor. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and a well stocked gift shop to brows for glass/ceramics or olive wood products.
Although the weather could have been better it did not spoil our holiday we did have a fantastic week and really enjoyed our stay at Villa Alexia.
Maria and Spiros are great hosts. Thanks for a great holiday. MB

Villa Alexia is in a stunning location with direct access to the sea.
It’s beautifully private and has fantastic views. We loved the various areas to sit for meals, drinks, sunbathing or relaxing in the shade. There are several really lovely tavernas within walking distance and we were able to order groceries online so there’s no need for a car.
It’s nice and clean and the beds are comfy. The main kitchen is a little small for such a large villa but maybe that’s a function of being split in to 3 apartments. But we ate out most nights as we found the tavernas to be good value and the food was delicious.

We decided to have a week's holiday together as a family to mark our 40th wedding anniversary and by good fortune found that we could return to Nissaki having stayed at the adjacent Olive Press some 35 years before when our second child was just 6 months. We were now a generation on with our own three children, two with partners, and four grandchildren. Villa Alexia worked wonderfully well both in the nature of the accommodation provided, its facilities, particularly the pool but also the various different areas of the grounds, and what was, effectively, a private beach. Added to this Nissaki remains thoroughly charming, and is close by. The villa was clean and well supplied. The charming owners took an interest in our stay and were very helpful when we asked for information. A thoroughly worthwhile holiday

When our son broke his arm just before our holiday were overwhelmed when Maria and Spiros went the extra mile to try accommodating us another date. They were very easy to contact and always friendly and helpful.
The villa itself was dreamlike!! We hired a car which was helpful as we had young children and the walk to the nearest restaurant was a bit too far.
When at the villa we used 2 out of the 3 apartments and found they met our needs perfectly. The kitchen in the bigger upstairs apparentment was well equipped and we cooked meals regularly during our stay. The outside BBQ was also lovely however there were a few pesky wasps around.
The beds were very comfortable in all the rooms with very good air conditioning throughout. The smart TV was great as the children could watch films on Netflix in the evening (upstairs apartment).
Outside the pool was fantastic! Just as you see in the pictures. In September it was warm enough our children still played in it all day!. There are many places to relax outside with beds by the pool, table and chairs by the bbq, a table and chairs on the upper balcony and comfy recliners overlooking the beach.
The beach is made up from pebbles but the water is crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling. My husband and son spent many hour fishing and caught many small pretty fish.
There are a few shops a short drive away. One delivered a welcome basket to the property with wine which was a nice touch. They seemed very keen to find out how big our party was (2 different members of staff asked this question with little interest in who was traveling but possibly how much trade they would get from us) and we felt a little pressured in having to use their shop. Shop was ok but no prices on items.
We found the shops in ipsos had more choice and seemed cheaper.
Our week at the villa was just what we needed to relax and unwind. If you like the pictures book it! It is as beautiful as you hope it will be! We really hope to stay again in the future and have recommended Villa Alexia to a number of families we know.
Thank you Spiros, Maria & Costa. We had the most perfect stay!
