There was nothing to like about this building, I refuse to call it a hotel, it was a house in a residential area with accommodation units in the garden. This may be adequate accommodation for hikers on a budget but it is far too highly priced.
The accommodation is dated, Merzig is the dullest town that I have encountered in Germany. I am surprised that you have it on your website. The website photos and write up is extremely misleading.

The pool was good and the pool area but could do with a tidy up , beds where ok, had tea and coffee making facilities in room but only one tea bag and a fridge
It’s a self catering room or apartment, not a hotel as there is no staff working at the hotel, when you arrive your key is in a box outside you let your self in so no reception. As no one is working at the hotel there is no drinks or food available to get. The hotel is in a housing estate no where to eat near by , only breakfast. The bathroom was so small, the floor was all sticky, the shower went either hot or cold as it’s old. The room was so hot. Only one tea bag in room. Breakfast was ok but not a warm or welcoming. Coffee pot on every table when you walk in , they think everyone drinks coffee, I ask for tea and they looked surprised and gave we just one cup full, pool area is ok put could do with a tidy up.

lovely spot with comfy interior and outdoor facilites, great breakfast, very friendly staff

Room was quite spacious. There is a pool. Good breakfast. An earlier (self) check in was possible in our case.
The bar and restaurant were closed, this was not communicated before arrival. The hospitality of the staff lacked, especially for the price payed. Only German is spoken. The room was not cleaned every day.

Excellent quiet hotel with a beautiful pool
We Didn't realise that there was no food available on Wednesdays - our mistake but we had no trouble in finding food in the nearby town

Very good host.
We had a health problem and the owner understood.
(Better to write in German, if you can)
Excellent very good and diversified breakfast and nice outdoor pool (but cold at 20 degrees, when outside were 28 degress)

The owner is very attentive to client's needs and proposes unexpected wonderfull solutions, always ready to help and accomodated us greatly, given we have a very small baby.
The pool is great, just for few rooms of the property and the garden like heaven.
It also has a sauna and fire place.
Stars can be seen at night near the pool.
The breakfast is very healthy and variated.
Excellent host, we recommend her warmly and will came again as a couple and with our baby.
Thank you😘😘😘

The staff were friendly and very willing to help me along with my poor German.
Some bacon at the, very good, breakfast would have been awesome. Also a shame we didn't get a chance to try out the other facilities such as the pool.

Small house near swimming pool next to people who sit just beside the small hut. No privacy at all, especially if you open windows, which you should do as its warm inside the house. This could all be cute, but surely not for the money that they ask
