Comfortable, pleasant stay

Comfortable room, good facilities, exceptionally friendly staff and great service. Excellent shower, comfy bed. Quiet area, not far from Waterloo, slept well.

A bit shabby here and there- some torn bedding, a little dusty in the corners. TV had lots of good channels, but couldn't seem to find BBC, ITV etc.

Das Hotel liegt zentral und ist gut an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel angebunden, was die Erkundung der Umgebung erleichtert. In der Nähe gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants und Pubs. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist freundlich, und als nette Geste wird kostenloses Wasser angeboten.

Allerdings gibt es einige Aspekte, die verbessert werden könnten. Der Lärm von der Straße und den benachbarten Zimmern ist gelegentlich störend, was insbesondere nachts die Ruhe beeinträchtigt. Die allgemeine Sauberkeit ist verbesserungswürdig. Bereits bei der Ankunft waren reichlich Staub und Haare auf den Betten und am Boden zu sehen. Das Badezimmer könnte eine bessere Belüftung vertragen, da sich nach dem Duschen trotz offener Tür im ganzen Raum Feuchtigkeit an den Wänden ansammelt. Außerdem befinden sich Gebäude am und um das Hotel in einer Phase der Renovierung, was zu sichtbarem Bauschutt und Dreck im Außenbereich führt. Die Zimmer sind funktional, könnten jedoch von größeren Waschbecken und zusätzlichen Ablagemöglichkeiten profitieren. Gerade ein kleiner Nachttisch wäre wichtig. Der große Spalt unter der Tür lässt Licht und Geräusche aus dem Flur durch, was sich dementsprechend störend auswirkt. Außerdem fehlte ein Safe leider komplett.

Hôtel agréable

Personnel très accueillant et bienveillant. Hôtel propre et assez bien situé.

Le matelas est un peu fin mais nous avons quand même bien dormi.

It was ok for one night when you are tired

Good location, 30 minutes walking to Big Ben or other attractions. We were able to leave our luggage for storage. Coffee and tea provided, together with a biscuit and some fruits. The guy at the reception was really nice and welcoming - a huge plus

The windows from the rooms are old and you can hear noise from outside. ( Hotel is also old). There is no heating in the bathroom. In one of the rooms the heating did not work at all but they gave us something else tu use for heating. Beds are old and not comfy. Room is small.

A clean, comfortable room, fine for a one-night stay.

-straightforward check-in and check-out -friendly and helpful staff -provision of hot drinks, fruit and snacks appreciated -the room was clean -mini-fridge

No natural light. Very little storage in the room (101), a few hooks, but no coat hangers or drawers. On both counts it was ok for one night, but would have been a problem for a longer stay. The plug in the shared bathroom opposite didn't fit properly, so water disappeared from the sink while trying to have a wash

Très bon hôtel ,je recommande !

Le personnel était très sympathiques ,les chambres propres ,nous avions réservé une chambre pour 4 avec une SDB à l'intérieur même de la chambre, très pratique ! Je recommande cet hôtel !

Convenient but basic

Convenient after having to stay over night because of the train strike. Nice touch with fruit in room.

Basic but as expected for a last minute booking! Not having en suite was a bit different for me but was not an issue really in the end (particularly for one night)

The room was so noisy overnight by crazy police cars till early morning. I wonder if there is a police station next door!

Room OK, location was good. A solid 7 out of 10

It is in a really good and safe location to explore. 10 mins to tube and close to London attractions, 20 min walk which is fine Expect the room to be only just suitable as the location is good and price was fair

I think all accommodation is expensive in London so I'm not complaining.

The staff were very friendly and I was given water and a made bed every day. I was also not on the main corridor so was nicely tucked away. Plus I was very well located in central London.

The walls are quite thin so I could hear snoring through the night. People did let the fire doors slam in the night.

Excellent, friendly, convenient, pleasant, good value stay.

Such incredibly helpful and kind staff. The decor is delightfully quirky, the location is so convenient for central London and transport, and the facilities are really good for a budget hotel. This will be my first-stop option for London trips from now on.

Mattress was very uncomfortable, felt very hard and gave me backache. Pillows quite flat and hard and uncomfortable as well. No wardrobe although there was spare for a small single one!
