It was clean, close to the train station and the ferry, nice breakfast and fast reply from the owner. Perfect for a one night stop.
The only thing that i didn’t really like is that we had to check out until 9am, which was super early for us😅

The room was modern and surprisingly quite large with high ceilings - we had so much space for our luggage, which was a really nice bonus. There was also a desk to work from. The bed was incredibly comfortable, which was such a pleasant surprise. My partner and I both got on it and said to each other “wow this is comfy!”. Our room also had air conditioning, which was definitely needed in Italy. The host was very accomodating and happy to help with anything we needed!
Huge plus is it’s location - It’s also only about a 3 min walk from the train station and the ferry port to Messina, a 5 minute walk - so convenient to get to Sicily there and back! (With or without a car)
Breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast and was good (cereal, baked good, coffee, tea, juice). There was a vending machine which was great for snacks and drinks. There is also a great cafe across the road and another cafe in the other direction which is open 24/7. Oh and there are a number of gorgeous beaches, bars and great places for food along a long strip of coastal road called “Via Lungomare Cenide” which is very easy to walk to, we had an excellent dinner at Leonardo Bistrot!
We really had such a wonderful stay at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was + its surrounds. Highly recommend staying here! We will be back for sure!!
Everything was great, the only thing to mention was that the vending machine needs to be fixed as it was full, but it wouldn’t bring anything down - it was only a small inconvenience and didn’t negatively impact our stay.

Comfy bed and really good aircon. Staff were lovely and close to port.

Location: a block from the train station. Clean.
A bit impersonal, with no staff to greet you. But it was well arranged.
4.0
Large room and comfortable bed
You need to have WhatsApp to communicate with property to get codes to get in, which they did not inform us about. It was guesswork.
Cleaning and maintenance in the bathroom is the worst we have seen.
The mould in the shower was horrible.
Hopefully I can attach photos.
The cleaner/manager person taking payment was abrupt and rude.
She told us off ( we are seniors) for spending too much time in the breakfast room and moving two tables together so we could sit with our travel companions. Note there were about 9 tables in the room and at any time only one or two others were occupied .
We were quiet, and respectful to the point of washing our own dishes and cleaning everything, leaving it cleaner than on arrival.
Also , cleaner/manager person stormed about removing some drinks we stored in the fridge to keep cold just while we were sitting in the room. She was aggressive towards us, to the point of slamming our drinks down on the table, wagging her finger at us like we were naughty children.
The breakfast room floor was not swept for our entire stay (3nights) and the supplies of yoghurt and milk ran out after the first day, not replaced until the last day. So much for breakfast included. We ended up having to go across the road to purchase breakfast.
Our stay was in the middle of summer.
Very hot and uncomfortable in the breakfast room and manager hid the aircon controller in the back of a drawer, changing hiding spot when we found it.

We stayed here for the night before we crossed over to Sicily for the end of our holiday. The area around the port Villa San Giovanni was pleasant and a typical port town. We had contact with the host by wattsapp and provided our passport details in advance of our arrival. ACE rooms was easy to find and there was free parking on the streets outside. The venue was easy to access through a key code on the main entrance and the bedroom. There was a dining room that was available throughout our stay and we used the facilities for coffee and eating our evening meal. The bedroom had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. This was a fantastic place to stay.
Nothing to dislike.

Interaction only via WhatsApp, but smooth and impeccable.
Host responded to my needs with a very kind touch, beyond the call of duty.
Full vanity set.
Air-conditioning works well but the temperature sensors projects too much light at night (admittedly I am oversensitive).
No sound-proof: there is little traffic in the street, but you can hear even the automatic lock when the entrance to the B&B opens (10m. away from the room). No big issue, unless you are noise-sensitive.
There is no bidet, although one can see holes in the wall where it used to be. Its absence is rare and notable in Italy.

Stopped for one night after taking the ferry from Messina.
Nice room for one nights sleep, the town isnt really something that attracts tourism, but it was cheap and the bed was comfortable. Wifi worked good and everything was alright. Very closeby the trainstation.

Super friendly owner. Breakfast was good.
Ultra clean. For me the door code thing worked. Supermarket 2 blocks away. There's a fridge!!
Ace is a great bargain, especially after Rome.
On arrival I had to call the number by the door. If you don't have an Italian phone you will have a problem.
But still a 9/10.

it is a 5 minute walk to the station and port which makes it ideal if you an early
train/ boat. The entry information is easy to follow and the host is kind and helpful. it is in a quiet street in a busy town.

It had a non contact entry with key codes for entry and the rooms as well which was fantastic no losing keys etc. The property and room were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and welcoming. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and left very early before breakfast the day after as we had an early train to catch. There is a brakfast room and our host said to help ourselves to what was available which was more than adequate, yoghurt, cereal, biscuits and the like. The propety was well placed easy walking distance to the railway station and also to restaurants. We did not come to see anything here purely as stopover to get our train the next day early. The town itself is pretty basic but we did find a great restaurant KM Zero, the staff were amazing as was the food. Great stopover would highly recommend!
The town itself

Clean rooms with comfy beds. Super nice welcome gifts and very nice and communicative hosts. Very nice breakfast. Location is close to the trains station and ferry.
AC did not really do what it’s supposed to do, it was very hot at night.

Really friendly staff working there, owner available when there were issues which she sorted as soon as she could, good location and good breakfast

The property was only a block and a half from the train station. The code to get into the property and into the room worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom large, with an extra-large shower. Breakfast was good and there was good gluten-free food available. The proprietor was very helpful with advice on how to get around. We stayed only one
night since we were in transit but will certainly stay here again since we plan to come this way often.
You do have to carry your suitcases up one flight of stairs.

Good location close to railway station. Room had enough space.
My room was not cooled when I came. I ran air-conditioning all the time, it was weak or not working properly, it was hot there. Breakfast was only sweet italian.
