Lovely comfortable and warm accommodation close to the city. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast is a lovely way to start the day.

Beautifully appointed B&B with excellent location, a happy hour for guests, lovely breakfast, lovely grounds, and helpful staff. Walking distance to everything Christchurch has to offer.

An early breakfast was accommodated as we were making an early start to the Tranzalpine train. We arrived late morning and were able to leave our cases before visiting the botanical gardens which were really close. As we had been on a long flight we were given a lovely cup of tea and some helpful recommendations for taxis and places to eat.

Great location. Welcoming & professional and knowledgeable staff team. Beautiful character property. Walls adorned with art. Comfortable rooms that are well appointed. Good breakfast. Fabulous guest lounge room, perfect spot to relax, read and/or enjoy a complimentary 5pm glass of wine. Highly recommend. (Photo is of the guest living room)

Breakfast was just the right amount. I really enjoyed the fruit compote with my muesli. This hotel is right across from the Art Gallery and around the corner from the Art Centre. The city centre is within walking distance and the tram is very close. It is a charming area to walk around. The building itself is an historic Victorian building that has been tastefully decorated. There are good restaurants and cafes close by.

Could not fault this beautiful house and it's staff. Great location opposite the Art Gallery, which is incredible, and a stone's throw from great restaurants and the Botanic Gardens. The added bonus of drinks in the lounge at 5 pm with the other guests was a lovely touch. Can highly recommend staying here.
Absolutely nothing.

Lovely, cozy, homely feel. Great place to stay as it is very central in the CBD and botanical gardens. Especially recommended in the colder months. Enjoyed the wine and fireplace in the lounge, early evening. And loved the healthy, delicious breakfast. Can't fault it!

Thought it would be a more upmarket B&B. Also would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast.

Wonderful location--quiet street with garden. Short walk to major attractions in central city. Very helpful staff who went out of their way to help us. She even dropped us off at a restaurant for dinner because it was raining and we didn't want to walk! 5:00 wine and time to chat with other guests. Great breakfast and more time to chat with other guests.
Would like a vanity in the bathroom with more room for toiletries. A suitcase holder in the room would be nice.

Orari Boutique Hotel is a lovely old house close to everything Christchurch has to offer. Staff were very welcoming upon our arrival and were very helpful. We sat outside on the front porch with a complementary class of wine which was a very nice touch! Breakfast was more on the continental side but very lovely and a great way to start your day. The house itself and garden were beautiful!
As it's an old house you could hear other guests in their rooms but thankfully everyone was respectful!

Everything Beautiful period house with a beautiful garden .. lovely breakfast in a huge dining room near the loungeroom. Plenty of options including hot boiled eggs instead of scrambled and bacon by still satisfying … lots of fresh fruit and cereal, croissants
Absolutely nothing … Wonderful old house

This is our second stay at Orari and it was just as lovely as the first time. A wonderful breakfast in a beautiful room. Such a great location, we walked everywhere, and never moved our car from the off-street parking offered.
It is such a lovely well kept old building. The complimentary glass of wine before dinner in the lounge was great as it gave us a chance to meet some of the other guests.

We were able to use their facilities even after we had checked out and were able to leave our car in the car park. The staff was very helpful and we had a great time!

For us everything was excellent
The hostess, however, was the highlight of our stay. She was absolutely delightful and went beyond to help us out. She organised our taxi for the next morning, lay out our breakfast as we had to leave early and confirmed our booking for the Tranza Alpine even making sure we were seated on the right side of the train ( a must) and we wouldn’t have known to ask.
Cheers Karyn and John

Excellent central location, easy walk to restaurant strip and city centre. Beautiful older style building. Good breakfast spread.
Room had double and single bed. Double was good but single was against wall under sloping ceiling which made it a little claustrophobic. The on-site parking space is quite modest and the sole exit was almost blocked by another guest's car when it was time for us to leave.
