Понравилось наличие крытой парковки.
I appreciated the indoor car park.
Не понравилось:

What I didn’t like:
1. Narrow bed. There was no mattress topper under the sheet, which meant you could feel every bump on the mattress. The top layer was made of foam, so it got uncomfortably warm. The bed was awful – I couldn’t sleep properly and woke up feeling exhausted.
2. No bin liners. There were no rubbish bags in the bins, which felt absurdly stingy.
3. No toilet brush. Enough said.
4. No toiletries. No disposable toothbrush or toothpaste, no cotton pads, and not even a soap dish or toothbrush holder. It felt like an extreme cost-cutting exercise at the expense of guests.
5. No ventilation. The windows couldn’t be opened, leaving the room stuffy and humid.
6. Meagre breakfast. The “juice” was essentially water with a couple of drops of syrup. This ridiculous cost-saving trick from Bulgarian Novotel left me speechless – a new low in penny-pinching. Awful coffee.

We had an excellent stay at the Novotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great view. The location is convenient because it's easy to get to/from the airport, plus there is a great mall right next door and a bus stop close by with easy access to downtown. The staff were very kind and professional, and very accommodating to the needs of a young family. They had car seats that we could use for the airport shuttle. The staff very kindly washed our baby feeding gear and sippy cups for us. There's also a perfect little play area by reception to keep the little ones occupied while the adults check in/out. The breakfast was great, with many choices. One minor but highly appreciated feature was the water bottle filling station at the elevators on each floor (you can even choose sparkling water - nice!).
We especially appreciated the great service we received from Sabina (front desk), Damyan (breakfast), and Traicho (airport shuttle) - thank you very much!
The only thing that we did not find family-friendly was the design of the bathroom; it's not a fully separate room. The doors don't lock and there is a gap underneath so there is no sound insulation. The glass wall can be set to opaque or transparent, but even on the opaque setting it isn't perfectly private. As a result, parents with young children may find they have trouble showering or using the bathroom in privacy. And it's hard to make a quiet trip to the bathroom after the little ones are asleep. Not a deal-breaker, though. Our stay was otherwise wonderful.

I loved the features - the refillable water station on the floor, the proximity to the mall.
Breakfast was great!

Breakfast was very good.
Room was vert lovely, very clean and presented well.
Far from city centre requiring transport to get in or a long walk.
Staff seemed very muddled over bookings. I had booked a twin room for a friend and I and they had put us in a double and then stated there were no twins left. Then proceeded to tell me I had made the error even though I showed them the booking stating twin. In the end I slept on a sofa...

Rooms are very comfortable, tidy and clean. Staff is pleasant and willing to help.
Staff should convey information more actively. I started to use the gym and just as I was 12 minutes into the workout, I had to leave because it was out service. Receptionist failed to tell that there is a gym or that it is out of service for three days in a week.

It is a nice and decent hotel for a fair price. I really like that the toiletries are from Rituals brand. I stayed at this hotel more than 10 times in the past 2 years.
They removed all the small things from the rooms after COVID. No slippers, no laundry bags and those kind of things unless you request them from the reception.

They were very kind, we were selected as passengers of the day and enjoyed the surprise welcome. Kids particularly liked it. Very nice experience.
