About this apartment rental
Borgo Gaiole is a large hamlet with 40 villas, all overlooking the Chianti town of Gaiole. It's a short walk into the pretty town centre where there several charming cafés. The property is built on sloped land with a covered car park at the lower level. From here there are steps or a lift to the central courtyard, continuing up to the pool area. The pool area has lots of sun and is a pretty spot to enjoy the views of the surrounding Chianti over the roof tops of Gaiole.
There is a ping-pong table in the main reception area. This hamlet has been built in true Tuscan style with plenty of terracotta and stone. The communal paths and courtyards are dotted with flower pots and well maintained by the caretaker.
Il Balcone is named for its lovely balcony terrace which overlooks the picturesque town of Gaiole as well as the surrounding hills and woods in the distance. It’s a thoroughly romantic retreat, and the pool is just a few metres from the front door. The interior is tastefully decorated with many pastoral artworks adorning the walls, as well as elegant wooden furniture and exposed wood ceiling beams. The open-plan kitchen-diner and lounge area is well-equipped and has an effortless homely atmosphere. At the top of the staircase you’ll find the comfortable double bedroom, which boasts the same view as the terrace, and is brightly lit by tall windows. Here you’ll also find an en-suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV.
