It is conveniently located within walking distance of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, as well as the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor, Seabright Beach and a host of popular restaurants and coffee shops.
The Seabright Serenity is cozy and comfortable! This two-bed one-bath PET-FRIENDLY unit is the bottom floor of a duplex. The upstairs unit is occupied by the owner's of the property. It has been recently remodeled and will be professionally cleaned and sanitized before your arrival. There is street parking only for this unit.
Steps away bakeries, cafes, and popular several breakfast spots, this Seabright home lets you live like a local. While being just 2 short blocks to the sand, you will be minutes away from downtown Santa Cruz where you can dine and shop to your heart’s desire! Nicely renovated & well-decorated space that is essentially the walkout-basement of a house. Despite being in the lower level, this unit features its own dedicated entrance and courtyard area as well as plenty of daylight windows. Radiant-heated concrete floors keep the unit feeling clean and the bed configuration of 1 queen, 2 twins works great for a family. Spacious living areas feature a table that seats 6-8 and a large, well-appointed kitchen with full-sized gas appliances. The Jack-and-Jill bathroom could use some updating and brighter lighting, but is large and good enough for the essentials. One note for folks with allergies or sensitivities to dust/mold: because of its setup, this lower level space didn’t have the best ventilation, which left the space feeling a little stuffy/musty at times. We tended to keep the door wide open when we were staying in the unit during the day since our visit was during really nice weather. Thanks to the little courtyard buffer and picket fence, that felt totally comfortable and safe to do. Plenty of parking on the street in front of the unit & excellent walkable location. Do yourself a favor and grab a meal or drink at nearby Tramonte Italian Restaurant - incredible service and food!

The home was clean and kitchen had plenty of helpful appliances etc.
The only drawback was the heating.it was quite cold.
I would recommend more adequate space heaters.
We liked the floor plan and simplicity of decor.

Our stay was quick, easy and comfortable. The apartment is on the bottom floor of a two-story house in a residential area. It's a few blocks from the beach, but a short walk to a commercial area, including a coffee shop and what may be the best Italian restaurant in town, La Posta...

The property is in a great location close to all amenities and with a few restaurants and a convenience store just around the corner. It was spacious and comfortable and clean. It did however feel a little tired, particularly the bathroom and the washroom deserves a tidy up and a lick of paint. The TV also needs replacing as there was an issue with the bass.

We stayed in this rental over Memorial Day weekend, it was great. Very accurate to the description and pictures. The property managers were very responsive and helpful during the reservation and check-in process. The location is very nice and walkable to the beach and local restaurants. Would love to stay here again on future visits to Santa Cruz.

Beautiful house, described accurately in the listing. We found everything to be smooth with the keyless entry, and the beds were comfortable. I had worried about booking a summer stay with no air conditioning, but it cooled down at night with some strategic use of the fans (provided in the rental) in the window to bring cool air in. We weren’t there during the day so can’t speak to how cool it was in the heat of the day. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

The property itself was good. Bathroom definitely needs upgrade and bed mattresses can use improvements. The place was very clean and amenities were all provided. Location as far as being close to the beach was fine but not a great neighborhood in general.

A couple of suggestions would be adding mirrors in the bedrooms, a vanity below mirror in bathroom or above sink, and some general maintenance/updating (door knob in front closet broken) and some dishes were put away dirty. Overall a nice place to stay!

Ideal location and super comfortable & private apartment
I used to live on Mott Ave in the late 90’s so it was so fun to show my daughter, who will be attending UCSC, the neighborhood. We hope to stay here again in the future when we visit our daughter

The highlight of our short vacation was the time spent at Seabright beach, which is just down the street. The rental unit was a calm, clean, relaxing place to return after time in the sun. Very close to some great casual eateries and good coffee.

Long weekend with young kids. We were glad we bought the bed bumper for our youngest since the floors are cement but it was perfect for our family of 4. Walking distance to the boardwalk and a great breakfast restaurant

Great weekend place near food and fun
This was such an easy stay. We actually booked two places through Surf City that were 4 blocks from each other and it was perfect for us. (My parents, sister, neice and nanny were in the other house)
The door has a keyless pad to get in. We were given the wrong code initially, but a quick text to Allie got us in within a few minutes of arrival. Parking was very tight on the street, but just for the initial arrival. The rest of the weekend there were ample spaces.
Single bathroom is a jack and jill between the bedrooms which took some negotiating between my wife and daughter, but worked fine for our family.
Lighting relies heavily on california sun and wouldnt you know our saturday was rainy. :( but with a bit of sun, the decor is bright and fun, even for a basement/ground floor apt under a 2 story house.
Bed was firm but good. Shower a bit cramped, but with good water pressure.
Super location!!! Go to Lindas for breakfast a block away. Beach was 5 block walk. Santa Cruz boardwalk is a fun place 1.5 walk, but you can drive and park on the pier for $2. We also went to roaring camp railroad for a steam engine ride up bear mountain in the redwood forest.
We had a blast! Great Stay. Would be happy to come back.
