Location was good, many cities are a short drive away.
Breakfast was the worst part of the experience. Very lack luster.

Very cute old farmhouse, fully renovated and family owned/ran. Nice garden and pool, all well kept and clean.
The room was simple, not too cozy, but very spacious and clean.
There is no private outside area, but a common terrace with some tables and chairs where all guests can sit, facing the pool in the direction of the sunset.
Location wise it is great, within 30 to 60 min driving you reach tons of places (Montalcino, Val d'Orcia, Siena, Arezzo, Chianti, etc.)
I guess we were a bit unlucky, as while we stayed here there were two big families with many young children. Both adults and children were messy and loud, and sort of monopolized the common terrace and the pool area with drying swimming suits, toys, towels, etc. Not the owners' fault of course, but for us it had an impact on how much we could enjoy the location. Maybe they could set in place some "house rules" to prevent the more undisciplined guests from negatively impacting other guests' stay.
The breakfast could offer a little more choices and more typical / local products.

The apartment was big and clean. Very good location, very close to grocery stories and small city Foiano.
Very nice swimming pool, many sun loungers, very nice surroundings, planty of typical tuscan views. The lady serving breakfast was very nice and helpful.
Despite the information the check in is from 3 pm, when we arrived at that time there was nobody of the stuff. Finally one of the guests had to open the gate to let us in. We called many times the contact phone number but nobody answers and finally we had to wait one hour. The reception manager was unpleasant to us in my opinion, especially when we note that tv doesn't work and the shower battery suddenly broke. All she was telling was that in the morning everything was perfect suggesting that we have broke it. When my kid broke a glass by the swimming pool she got mad. She was arguing with me and pointed us that we shouldn't use glasses near the pool - but they don't serve plastic glass in the apartment. There were more people with glasses on the pool but there were only us who she was pointing. It's worth to note that I helped to clean everything on my own because I understand what happened and that we all walk barefoot at that place.
At the place the kitchen aneks is not available and only glasses are available. Just want to suggest that people eat fruits or little snacks during the day - especially when you travel with kids, and it would be nice to give them at last plates to be able to eat like people. We got it when we asked for it.
If its not allowed to use glass at the pool please give your guests plastic stuff to be able to use safe things. And if you want to note something to your guest you may make it in the proper way instead what the lady did.

This lovely property sits atop a small rise with beautiful views of surrounding hills and villages. It's situated 2km off the Autostrade and made for a perfect overnight stop as we drove back from southern Italy to Austria. Casale Cardini has excellent security and parking; press an intercom for the wrought iron gates to open and drive in (we arrived around 1815 on a Monday night). We were met by a friendly chap who spoke enough English to get through the payment process (we speak zero Italian). This was all done in the room, and there may be a reception area but we did not see it. We booked a Junior Suite which cost (e)64; incredible value for a large bedroom, an anteroom with a cot and a sofa bed, and a large bathroom with corner shower, WC and bidet. The bed was comfortable and there were extra pillows. The gentleman recommended Rifugio di Bucche for dinner. It was fabulous. Thoroughly endorse. It filled up with locals at 8pm and was bustling. Large menu, great pizzas, but also the non-pizza and pasta dishes were tasty. We had a great sleep, and made our way across the pebbled driveway for breakfast at 8am the next morning. A large breakfast room, shabby chic style, with wide views across the valley and a very friendly lady who organised our coffees and warm croissants - both were delicious. The breakfast was a small buffet with yoghurts, cheese, salami and fruit. Because of Coronavirus they insist you don't approach and just ask for what you'd like from the buffet so only 1 person prepares and delivers the food and coffee to your table. We were the only guests that day, but still they were very good about the hygiene. We cannot recommend Casale Cardini and it's 5 friendly cats highly enough. As we drove away, we discussed visiting again in the Spring and exploring the area. It seems a great place to use as a central base to discover Tuscany/Umbria.

Everything is just perfect. Breakfast, room, view, location, staffs, facilities, all are just perfect.
Definitely will come back here again and will even recommend people to come.
