Very pleasant apartment in an historic building.

Great location. Beautiful old building.

The code did not work to open the front gates. Quite dangerous as we were parked outside the gates with the rear of our car protruding onto a busy road yet we couldn't get the gates to open. Fortunately someone who lived there advised us that there was a side entrance and helped us manoeuvre the car back onto the road and gave us instructions to access the grounds,

Aufenthalt im schön restaurierten Schloss ausserhalb des wunderschönen Städtchens Dole

Wohnen in einem Schlossturm ist schon speziell! Ruhige Lage etwas ausserhalb des Stadtzentrums, nummerierter Parkplatz direkt bei der Unterkunft, Gut ausgestattete Wohnung und Küche. inkl Waschmaschine. Von der Unterkunft nur wenige Autominuten nach Dole. Sehr schöne Altstadt mit Markt Di/Do/Sa. Sehr grosser Parkplatz am Hafen (Ave. de Lahr, gratis) von dort 5 Gehminuten ins Zentrum/Kirche/Markt. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach z.B. Dijon, Beaune, Chalon, Auxonne usw. Alles sehr sehenswert. Gastgeber war freundlich und hat sich erkundigt ob alles in Ordnung ist.

Die Designerstühle am Esstisch sind wohl ein Blickfang, bequem sind sie aber gar nicht. Im Sommer wird es auf der Galerie (Schlafzimmer) sehr warm, ein Ventilator ist vorhanden. Steile Treppe in der Wohnung (für uns allerdings kein Problem).

La localisation, l'aménagement, le confort du lit

Un petit bémol. J'ai 70 ans et j'ai eu un peu de mal avec l'escalier, mais rien de catastrophique.

Séjour des plus agréables ! Si l’occasion se présente nous ne chercherons pas ailleurs nous reviendrons ici !

Logement magnifique, atypique, aménagé de manière ingénieuse, décoré avec goût et surtout imprégné d’histoire. Le cadre extérieur est superbe.

Bien qu’ils soient à eux seuls un élément qui donne un magnifique cachet au logement, les escaliers pour accéder à la mezzanine sont un peu « raides », à déconseiller pour des personnes avec une motricité réduite.

An interesting and unusual place to stay, well designed and furnished.

it was very unusual with very modern and well-designed interior.

The stairs from the living area to the bedroom were very steep and could prove a problem for some people.

Lovely host, however the location is not ideal and the steps are very steep.

Thierry the host was an absolute joy. Our greeting was seamless and smooth. The apartment was well stocked with all the necessary utilities for a prolonged stay even though we were only there one night.

The narrow winding steps from the front door make it extremely difficult to carry heavy suitcases up them to the apartment. The steps / ladder leading from the living room to the bedroom are EXTREMELY steep and dangerous. There are no soaps or or body wash liquids in the shower.

Loved staying in the turret of a real castle

very unusual. clean, quiet and comfortable. easy to find on a main road into Dole. Very good communication with the owner and we were able to check in ahead of the official time as the apartment was ready for us.

Not a “didn’t like “ just for others info: it’s on the outskirts of Dole so a 15 minute drive to the old town, too far to walk. The access to the apartment and to the sleeping area are via steep stairs so you need to be able bodied to manage them, so to be mindful of this if like us you book here to stay on the return from a ski trip, wouldn’t want to tackle the stairs with a knee in a brace!

A lovely studio with lots of character and good parking. Perfect for one night.

Lovely quirky studio apartment. Clean. Wifi. Parking.

The fridge was a little noisy and the fan kept coming on throughout the night.

History in abundance - the town of Dole is beautiful - worth a stop over

Amazing historical building dating back to Louis XIV - beautifully restored

Not a dislike but the stair way to the bedroom is a reflection of a grinding mill staircase (as that's what the tower used to be - you have to be very able to climb a albeit very large ladder style up to the bed If you are ok with that its an amazing place

Wonderful place!

A wonderful place, perfect for exploring Burgundy. Historical buildings from the times of Louis XIV. Perfectly equipped, clean and quiet. Excellent and courteous service.

Exceptional

Everything else: even the ablility to wash clothes is nice to have. The shower is great and theres just a lot in the appartment: tv, fridge, storage space, etc.

The kettle was not very clean so we didnt use it. Luckily we had a coffee machine! Besides that there were quite a lot of spiders on the ceilings, maybe they could be cleaned out before guests arrive. We didnt have any problems though.
