The cottage was full of lovely bright art and knick knacks creating a very happy vibe. It was also perfectly situated for our latest leg of the Welsh Coastal Path which is truly magnificent in these parts!
Communication with the host was very positive and some treats on arrival were very much appreciated!
A very minor observation but because we self catered, we found a couple of items were missing from the kitchen utensils including a cheese grater and veg peeler.

It was very close to the centre of Fishguard. Very quiet. Lovely spacious cottage.
No bathroom cabinet or shelves in the bathroom. Also no dressing table in either of the bedrooms. Bath towels need to be bigger.

Amazing cottage, very quaint. beautifully decorated. Deborah had everything you could want in the cottage and was easy to contact if needed. Easy walk to the centre of town.

This is my third visit to this lovely cottage. it is so comfortable and colourful. we love the fact it is a gallery. The location is excellent, a short walk from all the amenities and a nice local pub with a lovely beer garden. The owner is very friendly and welcoming.

Loved the decor, well equipped, nice sitting areas and dining area,
Good position of property in Fishguard
Handy to visit the rest of pembroke.
No parking on property but this is really not a problem, as plenty of spaces on road, safe to park.
Only small points to make
Bed a bit too firm in room we chose to use. But slept ok. Bed was bigger in that room.
2 Steps either side to both rooms once on small landing area to bedrooms and bathroom handrail would be safer. So beware if in your later years😁.
However do not be put off, it is an old property and is lovely.🥰

The cottage is lovely, the location was amazing for our needs. Plenty of hot water, powerful shower. Towels and bedding all provided and very comfortable beds. Beautiful cottage, plenty to look at!! Deborah the owner responded very quickly to any questions and accommodated our check in and out requests.
we found the thermostat was reading a good temperature despite the cottage feeling cold and the heating wasn’t coming on. we resolved this by moving the mobile thermostat to the opposite side of the kitchen!, it was reading higher as the sun from the window was beating on the thermostat and the heat from the back of the fridge was causing it to read higher, hence the heating wasn’t coming on, so this resolved the issue easily and then the radiators were coming on to keep the cottage warm, so nothing to bother the owner about, so easily resolved.
A couple of cleaning issues, bottom of the oven was greasy and dirty, lipstick on glasses in the cupboard. When we checked the radiator in the lounge, was very dirty behind the sofa! However none of these issues spoilt our overall stay. Felt a little over cluttered in places, was frightened of knocking things over!

This is in a perfect location for walking distance to local amenities and pubs. The cottage has a cosy feel with lovely art and pottery on display. We actually bought a painting that we both liked and are so pleased with it. The cottage sleeps 4 comfortably, but we had 11 people at one time for a birthday celebration. There was more than enough room with 2 lounges and a good sized dinning area. Everything is there you would need for your stay.
The weather was wet, windy and cold over our weekend in Fishguard, but the cottage was lovely and warm. We would definitely recommend for people who have an appreciation for art.
The beds have memory foam mattress, so had a good night sleep. There is a combi boiler too so ample hot water for showers. We will be back.
Nothing. Everything was just as we like it.

Lovely and spacious premium cottage, brightened up by all the art works. Quiet location. Some furniture and beds could be more comfortable.
For a premium cottage, sheets/towels should be included, not extra

The art
I booked this cottage for a three night stay for my partner’s birthday. Firstly I must say this is a beautiful and quirky place, but when we stayed it had a couple of major flaws. In the morning after our first night, and on my partner’s birthday, we found ourselves locked in the cottage and unable to get out. The front door has a Yale lock. There is a sign by the lock informing guests not to double lock the door. We must have accidentally knocked the latch when closing the door when we arrived the previous evening. I phoned the owner to find a solution to our predicament. She is an artist and was taking a class at the time and couldn’t arrive until the afternoon. She suggested to climb out of the living room window and unlock the front door with our key. The sash window only had a limited opening to get through. The gap wasn’t big enough for me to get through, so my partner had to climb through the window. Only by accident, this was when my partner noticed the second major flaw at the property. The lower half of the sash window wouldn’t go low enough for the window latches to engage and lock into the top window fixings to lock the window securely. My partner was able to open the window from outside the property which meant the cottage wasn’t secure during our stay. This meant that we didn’t feel safe. On informing the owner that afternoon, she told us Fishguard was a safe area and everyone left their doors unlocked and we shouldn’t worry, but if we didn’t feel safe there was availability at the cottage next door or we could leave and get a refund. This on my partner’s birthday. My partner asked if the property was insured and the owner said it was. That insurance would be invalid though if someone gets into the property through an unlocked window.

Everything that could possibly be needed was supplied. Communication with the host was excellent. The cottage was very inspiring with both the art and it's furnishings. It was a very comfortable and relaxing place to be.

The location was excellent for exploring the village and eating out.
The house was uniquely decorated and fun to be in.
The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds.
The listing mentioned a washing machine and dryer but there were no instructions so we had to use a laundromat.
The sorting of garbage into 4 groups was not expected.

We have stayed in many places all over the world. but this has got to be one of the best. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, cute and quirky. As suggested in the name, the owner is an artist. There are examples of her work in every room, many for sale. Even some of the furniture has her artwork on it. Each room has its own personality.
The cottage is on a quiet road a short walk from all the amenities. Everything was spotlessly clean. Communication with the owner was excellent.
I really can't praise this property highly enough.
There was nothing that we didn't like.

A lovely cottage in a good location with easy parking in Fishguard. The owner uses the cottage to display artworks which makes it feel as though real care and attention has been taken, compared to some holiday rentals that can feel quite austere. Everything was very comfortable and it made an excellent base for walking the coast path. Highly recommended.

a house full of style and. character. very comfortable with great beds and sofas. good spaces to spend time and eat along with good bathroom products
not as picturesque a location as the photos had suggested but that is a very small quibble because it was wonderful

We needed a tea pot.
No black bag to pack up our bedding at the end.
Needs some more small bags provided for rubbish.
TV could have been easier to work and not an internet system.

We loved the way the art in the cottage just felt at home in its place. Quirky artefacts and ornaments had been collected and scattered around with loving thought .The pictures and paintings engaged the eye .A truly memorable stay and would recommend this very interesting abode for like minded people.
The only criticism was a lack of wardrobe space in one of the bedrooms.

The location was central and enabled us to explore the area.
We enjoyed many aspects of our stay at Artist’s Cottage. It was quite quirky and kept clean and bright.
However, there were a couple of unexpected elements that caused a little concern. We slept in the second, double bedroom and it was quite spacious but unfortunately there was nowhere to hang our holiday clothes. The room had no wardrobe and only one available hook on the door. This was extremely disconcerting as we had to just lay our clothes out on the chair which did not ensure that as we would have liked, they were crease free.
When we were initially looking to book, we specifically wanted two bathrooms for privacy as even though family, we were travelling as two adult couples. The UK site said that there were the two required bathrooms with a shower but on arrival we found only one full bathroom and a cloakroom / utility room with a toilet and sink. As real disappointment with regard to the descriptive use of language where in the UK bathrooms contain a bath or shower.
My husband and I would also have liked to have been able to access the garden to see the views but aged 76, we found the steps too steep and there was no way to get back down as there was no support or even a handrail, thus making our access impossible.

The cottage is lovely and very tastefully decorated. The outdoor space is small but a lovely little sun trap.
The location is a great base for exploring the area.
Parking is easy.
Some of the pubs are not serving food at the moment, so eating out is limited and you will need to book.
Definitely recommend. We had a fabulous time.
There wasn't really anything we didn't like. Overall a great place to stay. There's no space for clothes in one of the bedrooms, and if you did want to cook you'd be limited.

Excellent location, beautiful cottage with a lot of character, welcoming host.

Quirky, interesting property, and very vibrant with all the art. Location is ideal to explore North Pembrokeshire, with good pubs/restaurants within a 5 min walk.
Low doorways/arches upstairs.. missing a few brain cells now, so caution to the taller/clumsy people like myself. But comes with territory it being a cottage and all.

I had a restful break in a lovely cottage close to the heritage coastal path, lovely pubs and cafe’s and the beautiful Lower Town. A great base from which to explore and and comfortable nest to which to return. The Pembrokeshire coast is staggeringly beautiful. Recommend the Royal Oak pub garden in the evening. Everything you might need is on hand.

This is a truly special and unique place to stay. A 17th century Welsh cottage renovated perfectly and turned into an art gallery you can live in - superb. Deborah is the most wonderful host who is really thoughtful. We completed the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path walk and used this as our final base and Deborah couldn't have made it more special. Its not just a place to stay, it's an experience. The location is also superb, Fishguard was a real surprise to us, loved it.
