Beautiful and peaceful. Impressed that it is a green property which truly got power and water from the sky. Jim was extremely accommodating. Not only was he knowledgeable regarding activities around the island, he provided snorkels, fins, masks, boogie boards, coolers and beach chairs. I discovered the long board too late in my trip to take advantage so we'll just have to make another trip. Got to meet Mojo but didn't get to meet Jen as she worked a lot. Met a lot of geckos tho and I miss them already! Don't miss the Punalu'u Bake Shop which is on the way to Volcanoes National Park. Yummy!
My sister thought the twilight frogs were too loud but they didn't bother me. It can be hot during the day in the house, which is fine if you are gone for activities, but not conducive to having a lay-about. It did cool down quickly well before the sun set and there was a nice, pleasant breeze at night.

Host and Views were exceptional though this was the first time I have been asked (particularly as an amputee) to carry all of the trash, paper, bottles and cans down quite an outdoor stairway to trash bins underneath. also had to strip the beds!
Kitchenette - No counter, drawer, cupboards, sink, stove, microwave, coffee rig, nada save a gas BBQ on the lanai
for hundreds per night the host could spend a few hundred bucks and improve these simple amenities.

Our stay here was amazing! The perfect location for us to travel around the island and really experience all the different atmospheres Hawaii has to offer. The bungalow was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view of the ocean. Jim and Jenny were great hosts and we especially loved getting to meet their pup Mojo.

We were very happy with this accommodation. The host was great, the view was amazing and the spacious suite with 2 comfortable beds made this a perfect choice. We would definitely return. Thank you Jim for a great stay.
Nothing comes to mind.

Very peaceful, beautiful setting with exceptional views. Very friendly and accommodating host. Spacious room with vaulted ceiling and large bathroom.
No kitchen, although outdoor grill with burner was heloful. No stores or places to eat nearby. Also, the place needs a deep cleaning.

This place was fantastic.
First, our host, Jim, was very attentive/friendly. He brought breakfast in the AM, each day, which was a variety of pastries and fruit.
Jim provided us with tips and locations to check out.
He made the experience very relaxing.
The secluded location was beautiful. There are no traffic sounds, issues with neighbors talking too loud, etc. At night, the only thing you hear is the local wildlife.
The view is breathtaking. Sunsets over the ocean each night, a panoramic view of the Pacific, just wow.
There is a mini-fridge that we used to allow for us to cook our own lunch/dinner. (Grill with burner provided). Jim also allowed for us to use a cooler so we could take picnics to the beaches/travel spots, and there were some ice packs in the mini fridge freezer to help out with that.
We didn’t mind it, but I’m sure some people wouldn’t like that this isn’t a place where they will serve hand over foot. There is some DIY involved. we didn’t mind at all.

The location was great, just an hour from the airport, and it allowed us to set out for our trip around the island. The view from the balcony was amazing! The room was incredibly spacious!!! The bathroom was also large. We were exhausted when we arrived after a long day of travel from Eastern US. Jim was very helpful, getting us settled in, and explaining everything to us. He was very hospitable. The bed was very cozy and we slept so well! We would return for another stay if we ever make it back to the Big Island.
We enjoyed all of it. It was a memorable place in a good way!

The view and breakfast in the morning was amazing. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay there.😄
There were ants on the deck that bugged us a bit so wearing shoes or slippers helped.

Jim was an outstanding host! His property overlooks the ocean. He served us wonderful breakfasts of fresh fruit, muffins, and fresh-pressed coffee. We enjoyed meals and sunsets from the large, lovely porch with a gorgeous view. The room is huge!! We had the option of sleeping in one of two large beds. Beautifully furnished in an island theme, with large updated bathroom, a fridge, table and chairs, desk, and sofa. It's essentially an apartment. Jim provides a variety of gear to use for the day -- chairs, towels, umbrellas, floaties, snorkeling items and more. We even made friends with the geckos who greeted us each morning! Close enough to all we wanted to do on this part of the island. We had a superior, outstanding stay and would definitely stay here again! Mahalo, Jim, for your hospitality!
Everything was perfect!

Breakfast was amazing! Jim and Jenny were very flexible to meet our needs and super friendly, and they did everything with a smile on their face. The place was awesome, isolated and with amazing views and quiet and peaceful days. It is a bit far from towns but we knew that coming in so it was not an issue. Also helped that it was kind of in between Hilo (east side of the island) and Kona (west side of the island). Jim and Jenny also kindly let us borrow their snorkeling and boogie boarding gear, as well as a cooler and even beach chairs to take out. They are very kind and great vibes, truly helped us feel the hawaiian culture. Thank you!
Wifi was a little slow at times, but this shouldn't be a surprise since this place is very isolated and off the grid. If you are going to Big Island to work from home (which we did not) and need high-speed, reliable internet, don't go here. Otherwise you'll have an amazing time!

The best place to rest a little bit. Breakfast was very good (fresh local fruits, cakes nad coffee) on the high deck terrace, with gym facilities available.
