We invite you to bring your family and friends to enjoy Three Timbers, our beautifully decorated and completely updated family home, a classic mountain chalet at Wintergreen, just a five minute walk to the Tyro ski slope.

Experience the wonder of all four seasons at the Wintergreen Resort in this fabulous property. With nearly three thousand square feet of living space, spread over three floors, this home will allow for your group to spread out and relax.

The main level offers an open plan living, dining, and kitchen area with gleaming hardwood floors throughout. The living room is perfect for entertaining but still cozy and inviting. The kitchen is fully-equipped with stainless steel appliances, oven, fridge, dishwasher, built-in microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of counter space to prepare a delicious meal.

The dining table seats 8 comfortably - 10 if needed - and there is an additional table on the upper level that seats 6. Both dining and living areas boast painted white wood-paneled cathedral ceilings. The living room has overstuffed, slip-covered seating, a new smart TV for streaming your favorite shows, and a wood burning fireplace. It is open to the kitchen area so you can enjoy a cocktail while chatting with the chefs!

The main level offers a large master suite with king bed, new smart TV and double closets. The master bath has a double vanity and a large steam shower - perfect to soothe those tired muscles after a day on the slopes or hiking trails! There is also a cozy queen bedroom with another en-suite full bathroom.

There is access from both the main floor living room and master bedroom to a huge wrap-around deck with a dining table to seat eight and a large gas grill. The deck faces the private, oversized lot (>1 acre) with protected open space beyond for year-round privacy plus seasonal mountain views. See if you can find the cool cave under the large rock outcropping!

Up the custom craftsman staircase is a large bedroom with a double bed as well as a loft area with two more twin beds and an additional table for puzzles, games, or additional dining for six. It's the perfect spot to stash the kiddos!

The lower level offers a very spacious second family room with new foosball table, new smart TV, Wii game system with dozens of games and oversized reclining leather couches. There is also a second, large master suite with king bed, double closet and en suite full bathroom. Finally, an additional queen bedroom and a fourth full bath are accessed from the lower level family room. This level also offers walk out access to a second deck with more seating.

All bedding in the house is down duvets and pillows. Many of the king and queen beds also have down mattress toppers for that extra special dose of cozy comfort.

Beautiful as it is, this home doesn't skimp on practicality, either. Great WiFi and five streaming TVs, of course. One Echo and two Echo Dot Bluetooth speakers. A large laundry/mud room with new washer/dryer and space to store jackets & ski gear is at the entrance of the main level, just inside the welcoming front porch. The home has central heating and cooling - both hard to find at Wintergreen - to keep your group comfortable in all weather.

There's plenty of parking, including a two-bay parking area at street level and room for at least five additional vehicles in the main driveway. The driveway is somewhat steep; if it is snowing or icy, we do recommend four-wheel-drive or tire chains. Alternatively, the two street-level parking spaces are level, easily accessed in any weather, and are connected to the house by a lighted stairway.

You'll love this location. It is less than three minutes in the car to drive to the restaurants and main lodge area, about 5 minutes to the spa and indoor & outdoor pools, and 8 minutes to the Appalachian Trail access. If you want to venture further, the famous Devil's Backbone Brewery is just 10 minutes down the mountain, and more of Nelson County's famous Route 151 breweries, wineries, cideries, and even a distillery are within 20-25 minutes' drive.

At Three Timbers, our guests' safety is our top priority. Here's what you can expect from a trip to Wintergreen Resort and a stay at our home:
- The house is thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant after every stay by our professional cleaning crew.
- The 1.1 acre property is large enough to be your own private oasis of social distancing, with plenty of space to spread out on multiple decks, two family rooms, and private woods to explore.
- The resort itself is gradually reopening with stringent safety standards. As of 2022, much of the resort has fully reopened for use again, including swimming pools, restaurants, skiing, golf and tennis. Some limitations still apply; please contact the resort directly for up to date information on what is open.
- Our WiFi is strong and reliable - just like you! So feel free to get some work done from any of the several good working spaces at the house.
