Poachers Barn. Value for money

The staff were friendly, the locals were friendly the room was clean and comfortable. Couldn't expect any more for the money we paid

The kitchen was out of use so didn't have a breakfast and ordered in for the evening but they supplied us with cutlery etc

Lovely managers, but work needs doing in the accomadation part of the hotel

Staff excellent landlord and landlady very pleasant and very helpful

Food could have been better. It was passable. The room was a little cold, but the worst thing about the stay and my colleague who stayed in room two agrees that the emergency light fitting in the bedroom has a green LED light on it which illuminates the whole bedroom. AI hardly slept because of this and my colleague said the same. I haver always had emergency fitting in the corridor just outside any room to show the exits, not inside the room or most certainly not with a bright led light on it.

we had a gresr weekend stay at the PB. a very helpful host and easy checking in and out.

Just not for us

staff were very friendly, accommodation is in need of a overhaul. bedding & towels were very clean.

the photos are the external of the pub and not the property your actually staying in.. food hadn’t been available for a long time the mattress was oddly smaller than the bed shared bathrooms are unacceptable since covid.. no anti bac wipes in shared facilities

Beds was really comfy. It was great been between Scarborough and Filey.

The day bed was a little noisy. Would have been good if you could have WiFi in the room even if I had pay a bit extra.

Nice area standard room pleasant owners

Quiet and the fact they left lights on for when we came back in the evening

Shared facilities room very small no food on at all as no chef they said was disappointing after a full day travelling

Fun place to stay if you want to be away from the hussle and bussle of Scarborough but easy access to town area.

Spotlessly clean; fantastic value for money; ideal location if you don’t want to be staying in Scarborough centre - bus every 15 mins from outside pub and it takes about 15mins - £3.00 cost per person OR taxi costs c£10 each way. Great bar and friendly staff.

Nothing really …. shared bathroom is one thing to be aware of but only between 2 rooms so no real issue.

Next time I visit the area I shall contact Poachers Barn first.

I did not need breakfast or evening meals. There is an excellent bus service from outside the pub for buses to and from Scarborough; during the day every 15mins each way with a journey time of 15-20mins. The bedroom was very comfy with a shared bathroom. I was always able to use the bathroom whenever I needed to. The pub had a good atmosphere, served good beer and the locals were very friendly. Mine hosts were extremely accommodating and always really nice.

The wifi in the bar was perfect but in the bedroom was hit and miss.

Really nice people. Very warm and welcoming. great evening in the bar with games, chatting & laughing. Very comfy bed and quality bedding. great night’s sleep. T & C making facilities. lovely area

No issues. Shared shower & WC with one other room but it was clean and fine for us

Lovely, clean comfy room. Enjoyed our evening in the bar. Great locals made us feel so welcome, even though we didn’t win the quiz! Will deffo return.
