Second year renting this home. It is very functional in spite of being dated. The carpet was very stained and probably needs to be replaced soon but we love the layout and the backyard is awesome. We will come back!
Thanks,
Hunter

While the house was dated (thus the 4 rating), it was clean and livable. ArrivedNow does a great job of preparing the house for guest and they were also responsive when we called about a couple of issues. Retro West is a great space and we enjoyed the garage and the beautiful yard. We would rent here again!

We stayed at this place for a month, July, 2021. Here’s the good: the house offers a lot of space, which was perfect for two families to live, play, and work remotely; there is a big fenced yard, great for dogs; it’s conveniently located to downtown Hood River, the Columbia River, groceries, and a great open space walking area with blackberries everywhere (great for dogs and kids). The not-so good: the house is not super updated, and is a little grungy (stains on the carpet, etc.); it’s also not very well stocked (kitchen is light on tools and pots/pans, and we were surprised that there were only 5 hangers, across three bedrooms — we asked for more and got another 5; the refrigerator is older and didn’t have any shelves on the door (storing food for two families for a month, without a door for storage is no joke!).
The management company was pretty responsive, and provided us with a full cleaning to get things more up to expectations.
Overall, we would absolutely do it again. This house offers great bang for the buck in an expensive town to stay in, just not a lot of frills.
