Beautiful and authentic house, very clean and comfortable. The place is really quiet offering to just turn yourself off, relax and enjoy the tranquillity. The owner is very kind, there was homemade breakfast in the morning which was delicious. The room itself was large enough, with a fireplace beside the bed. Highly recommended if you want to emerge in the local lifestyle.
Everything was perfect.

It is my second time visiting this particular house and the experience was more or less the same - positive. The only minus this time was that we found a few spiders here and there around and on the bed. I know it is a house but the cleanlines from last time was very little degraded. Apart from that ... the view, the quietness, the breakfast (traditional banitsa) were all on level!

The house was absolutely gorgeous and we had it all to ourselves. The owners were extremely friendly and even brought us a delicious breakfast in the morning, homemade banitsa and yoghurt. It is fully equipped with everything you need.
The village itself is very pretty it was a 10/10 experience we are sad we couldn’t stay there longer.

This guest house was a pleasant surprise! Located in the charming small village of Leshten, it’s built in the traditional style of the Rodope mountains, with lots of wood and stone over several levels. We were there in off season (early May) and had the whole house to ourselves. There is a very cozy room on the ground level with a wood-burning stove and a large dining table, a sort of living room area just up from there, then a kitchen/dining area, and finally a top floor with three bedrooms with en suite baths. Very clean bedrooms and baths. The heat worked well. The kitchen was nice to have, though not very well equipped and what equipment there was was in generally poor shape. Breakfast was fantastic - a kind of Bulgarian quiche made by the host’s mother, a pot of yogurt, and homemade berry juice. Out back (accessed from a basement level) is a really charming terraced garden with a seating/BBQ area. Unfortunately, the view from the garden is onto an abandoned lot, but it would still be a pleasant place to hang out in warmer weather.
Parking is next to the church, a short walk along a very rough stone road from the guest house. To find the house and check in, we had to meet the host in the lot by the church, which involved calling him both an hour before arrival and on arrival. Not a problem if you have a cell phone with international functionality and good reception, but otherwise could be difficult. Kitchen equipment (like the kettle) was of very old/poor quality. Also, for some reason there were no glasses at all - just mugs.

The host was friendly and communicative! The house was very clean, neat, better than on the pictures. The bed was comfortable, with nice pillows. The bathroom was clean as well , the hot water was non stop which is great. The breakfast was delicious, homemade - the highlight for me was the homemade yogurt - simply amazing!

If you're heading to Leshten, this place will be the cherry on your cake.. What i liked the most is that everything was bright clean, the house is very traditional and has several nice corner for photography lovers. The hosts are beyond welcoming, and very helpful. If you're a foreigner, and you're thinking to head there alone, you'll be more than well welcomed, and feel like home.

Excellent location and welcome by hosts. The place is clean, comfortable and very calm. In winter you can enjoy the fireplace. Hosts are always available for questions and the breakfast is amazing!

The host was very hospitable and welcoming, the fireplace was on, and the breakfast was delicious - everything was homemade and really really good - banitsa, yoghurt and blueberry juice!!!
Even if the fire was burning, it was not very warm (we were there in January), the hot water finished very fast, and it was not super clean. But overall we were satisfied and the breakfast and the hospitality surely compensate the rest!
