We were delighted by the cleanliness and condition of the Barns. We rented all of them (other than there was no access code for Pony) other than through the Barn. The Hub and Bathroom were well stocked with glasses and kitchen utilities were ample for our purposes. We had a reception on the lawn for all our guests plus the Brides family on the Friday which worked well.
The bed in the Main Barn above the kitchen is terribly hard because the mattress is far too thin /worn for the quality of accommodation. I didnt try the others.

We are a group of four families who have been holidaying together annually for over 30 years and now have the third generation in tow.
As the group expands a single house is more difficult to find and this is the first time we have tried somewhere where there are individual properties in order to provide enough accommodation for all of us. The layout of the properties around a pretty courtyard and the ability to all seat together for our meals (and watch the England quarter finals Euro match) was a real bonus! The Barn enabled us to congregate as a group but having space in the other properties for anyone needing some time away from the noise and busyness of a large group was welcomed. All properties were decorated and furnished to a very high standard and very comfortable.
We normally like to stay in different properties and locations each year but are very seriously considering returning to this property in the future.

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate some special family birthdays. A 21st, 30th, 50th and 80th. Being able to stay together but have our own space when needed was fantastic. Each barn was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The larger barn and function room was so well designed and thought out and couldn’t have worked better as a communal hub.
We hired an outside caterer for the Saturday so we could relax and enjoy being together. He was very impressed with the facilities and had everything he needed to make it run smoothly.
Only one suggestion to the owner…Blossom Barn worked brilliantly for my parents and Auntie as it was all on one level and catered for disabled access. My Mum suggested a handle/rail near the toilet would be beneficial as she found it difficult to get up and down. Apart from that our stay was perfect. We are hoping to return one day

This place was really good for a family reunion. Location wise it was a short drive to the facilities of Faringdon and Wantage with some nice local walks from the house.

Choosing venues at a distance can be a bit of a lottery, but living as I do in Scotland with family scattered in South Wales, Yorkshire, Oxford, Bristol, and London, Goodlake Barns turned out to be the perfect solution. In fact the venue exceeded all my expectations and all 18 off us who were there felt the same. The whole layout gave us closeness but also independence. A superb conversion of a lovely collection of old farm buildings with a plethora of bathrooms and comfortable sofas. Sadler’s Catering did us proud in The Hub for our celebratory meal, beautifully served and with canapés in the Barn lounge beforehand. They even very thoughtfully, after clearing everything away ( no washing up!), left tablecloths so that we could linger at the table which we did, talking until the early hours. Brilliant! Another bonus was my finally getting to walk in the White Horse Vale after passing through it as a child in trains from Cardiff to Paddington. A truly memorable weekend.

We had a fantastic time here and it really suited the range of ages in our family group. Each property is wonderful and spacious. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchens well stocked. We all had a great time.

I booked this for my friend's 50th birthday weekend suprise.
Accommodation was brilliant as 28 of us would have been cramped in 1 property, so having the barn for 10 and several smaller properties was brilliant.
Fantastic properties very clean and self contained, very spacious and had everything you needed down to the personal touch of complimentary biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk In the fridge.
Comfy beds and very spacious rooms. Loved the countryside feeling.
The hub was great for the party atmosphere with its own kitchen and bathroom facilities
Just a perfect accommodation in a perfect setting

This is the second time we have used this venue, for a family gathering of over 20 people spanning four generations, and we would gladly use it again. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped, and there is a large communal space which is ideal for getting everyone together. The surrounding countryside is lovely for a walk together.
A few minor practical points:
- It would be good to have grab rails in the showers and by the toilets, especially in the wet room which is otherwise very well adapted for use by disabled people. It (and a slip mat in the shower) would make things a bit safer for elderly people using it.
- The fridge in the communal area was very frosted up.
- One of the many toilets did not flush very effectively.
But these are very minor quibbles, and we loved the place and had a brilliant stay. Thank you.

A lovely comfortable HOME for the weekend. Close to local shops for forgotten purchases but equally feels secluded enough to feel removed from reality! Everyone very responsive with any queries and made for a fantastic weekend away for a 40th celebration. This was not my first nor will it be my last time here!

What an incredible stay!! There were 24 of us over a weekend to celebrate a 30th birthday and Goodlakes could not have been more perfect. The set up of the main barn with large lounge and dining/entertaining space was excellent. The other cottages are beautiful in their own right and large enough for guests to feel comfortable and at home. The photos do not do Goodlake Barns justice! All areas were incredibly clean and tidy with everything you could need to entertain a large group. Excellent communication from the organisers and queries answers quickly. Every one of our guests commented on the venue. The extra special touch of Christmas trees in each house and the biscuits/chocolates were a lovely touch.

Absolutely loved our stay. We are a group of 20 adults and 8 children and the barns were just perfect for us, We could use the hub as our group get together and have dinner and party. The barns were super comfortable and extremely cosy and warm on arrival.

The accommodation at Goodlake Barns was perfect for our large family get together of 28. We booked the entire property which consisted of 5 separate cottages which meant each family had their own space to cook or spend time on their own but we all came together for meals in The Hub, a large room big enough to seat us all around tables put together. The accommodation was well stocked with crockery, cutlery, fridge space etc. everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. It has a secluded courtyard which all the cottages overlook and plenty of parking spaces for all our cars. We hope to stay again in the future.

The property was very nice all the rooms were beautifully presented, our only concerns was the pergola outside the main barn was very wobbly and in need of repair.
A small suggestion would be to have warning stickers on the games room glass doors as several of our group walked into the doors that did not open.
We had perfect weather,at a perfect location.

We had the most fabulous long weekend with friends & family at Goodlake Barns to celebrate a 70th birthday. The main barn offered so much flexibility for socialising & partying but also the opportunity for some down time in the adjoining Barns, all of which are beautifully put together. We had the most perfect time and I couldn't have asked for more. A perfect time was enjoyed by all. We would love to come back.

What a lovely weekend we had at Goodlake Barns. More than enough room for all of us to enjoy company together as well as individual space and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. We throughly enjoyed the hub, the only nit pick would be is there needs to be more lighting in there as at night it was a bit dark.
We are looking forward to coming back next year.

As a mixed group of young families and couples, the comfortable cottages at Goodlake barns were perfect for our annual reunion. Each of the cottages were well equipped, beautifully kept and very comfortable and surrounded a communal courtyard which was safe and secure for the kids to roam freely. We used the barn as the main house for the weekend which was a great size offering a large lounge and kitchen suitable for 18 adults and 7 kids. The HUB was the communal dining area, which had basic furnishings in comparison to the rest of the properties however it was functional and well equipped for meals which catered well for our large meal times. My only suggestion would be to add some soft furnishings to this room to make it less echoey, more cosy and in keep with the rest of the property. Aside from this, we cannot falter Goodlake barns and would love to book the property again next year!

The Goodlake Barns provided a perfect place for a group of friends, who first met at University 50 years ago, to come together with their children and grandchildren. The group, with varying ages from 7 months to 70 years, found the facilities very clean, very comfortable, and extremely well equipped. The weather was superb which meant we spent most of our time in the courtyard area, but, had it been cold and wet, the large communal room would have been excellent for us all to congregate. Each barn was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, which meant our stay was very comfortable, and very relaxing. There are plenty of attractions nearby to entertain us and the barns are situated in a lovely part of the country.
I can enthusiastically recommend The Goodlake Barns.

We were a large extended family group of 25, spanning 4 generations and so had rented out the whole of Goodlake barns for the week.
The multiple properties worked really well to give everyone space. We also hired the hub for the week which we used in the cooler evenings.
We were fortunate with the weather and hence were also able to us the outside seating.
The kitchen in the larger property was great for making dinner for everyone. There were plenty of fridges, crockery, cooking equipment.
Goodlake barns is on the edge of the Cotswolds and so a bit of a journey to the well known villages and towns but very close to Oxford and Berkshire

We attended as a family with a very diverse age range.
The accommodation was fantastic and suited the mix of children and senior family members.
We cannot fault Goodlake barns .. we all had a fabulous weekend

We had 26 family members aged from 63 to 1 year old stay from Scotland to Dorset and East Anglia and Midlands.
Each family had there own barn base unit and we had a large core hub unit for time together.
The weather was excellent so we were outside a lot but the hub area was very echoey on the occasions we used it.
We had an excellent family time together and for many it was the first time that they met.
There were a few minor maintenance issues which we would be happy to list if requested. Eg bulbs / extract fans not working.
We would highly recommend it

Best place to stay!
Goodlake is the place to spend a long weekend with family (who you like!) Great atmosphere , everything spotless, tidy and welcoming with chocolates in every house ( small request for me would have loved fairtrade), heat on everywhere so very cosy, and easy to find everything oh and no shortage of toilet rolls which was brilliant! Everyone loved their accommodation and rightly so, and the superking beds were very welcomed!
We had a couple of things to sort out on the Saturday, a few niggles like dishwasher clogged in one house, wheel on shower door off so not closing properly and a couple of small things but Simon the on-call maintenance man came round very promptly and fixed all the issues, was very amenable, friendly and helpful which was great.
The only thing missing which we all needed was dishwasher salt and rinse aid, that's one thing we didn't take with us! So please put these in all houses.
Well we couldn't have had a better place to celebrate a big 70th, thank you

60th Birthday Family Reunion.
This was the perfect venue to celebrate a 60th Birthday with family. Accomodation was immaculate and spacious. Everything we needed was provided on site. The party room was perfect for our event and the huge paddock area was ideal for the children. We booked the whole venue and had the most fantastic time.
