Best accommodation in Mersing

Book now, think later. As all the other reviews say, Kam is a super host. He will happily go out of his way to pick you up from the bus stop, drop you off at the jetty, take you to the best restaurants in town, feed you papaya and guava from his own trees and offer good conversation through it all. It’s worth booking for Kams hospitality alone. The room itself is spacious, well air conditioned and has a comfy bed. We had the best nights sleep of our trip here. There is a good shared kitchen with all basic supplies, water filter, tea coffee etc. Cannot recommend enough.

Comfortable house and good service from owner Mr Kam

Location very near to Mersing city. Easy to access to the restaurant nearby. Mr Kam very good host and friendly. We are very happy for the service provided with the spacious room and bathroom. Recommended to all family to stay at Mersing Maple Villa

Perfect retreat for those looking to stay the before/after catching the ferry to Tioman Island

Nice house-stay just outside the city center.

Nice welcome. Kam was very attentive to our needs and even offered to drive us to the Mersing jetty at six o'clock in the morning. We were also offered bicycles to go to the center of town.

The house is in a quiet neighbourhood in the suburbs of Mersing. So, it's easier if you have transport.

Rooms were great, comfortable to stay in, had all your basic needs.

Mr Kam, our host, was very friendly, offered to bring us around Mersing free of charge, as well as brought us to places for good food

The only unfortunate thing was the weathet, other than that an overall positive experience, would visit again

Zimmer sehr sauber, gute Bettwäsche. Anlage liegt ganz ruhig. Mama vom Haus hat noch meine Hose an der Nähmaschine genäht, + 10 Punkte. Vielen Dank dafür

War ein super Aufenthalt hier waren 2 Nächte hier haben um eine Nacht verlängert.

One for the memories!

I loved everything abt this place! The room was spacious, linens were clean. They definitely met my expectations with their squeaky clean toilets. I even checked the common toilets and those were clean as well. If there's one thing that deserves a special mention that would be the host Mr. Kam. He's an exceptional host, very helpful in every sense of the word! It's always the little things that leave a lasting impression on someone. We can't thank you enough!

There were some construction stuff outside but that's understandable since the host is always doing some work on the house

Overall great, well kept unit.

The unit was very clean and spacious. The host was also very friendly. Mr. Kam was very proactive and gave some recommendations around Mersing. The location is about 5mins drive to the jetty. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Excellent place to stay in Mersing!

Room is super comfortable and brande new! The owner is amazing and super helpful! Before the trip he gave us all info about ferries to Tioman, bus to Singapure... he made our trip sooo much easier! And when we arrived he picked us at the bus station and next day brought us to ferry terminal, at 6 am!

Best place to stay

The host was very pleasant and incredibly helpful. He drove us to town and brought us very early in the morning to the ferry. The room was very clean and cosy. We definitly would book again

Exceptional

Fantastic host: Kam waited till half past midnight for us at the bus station and even gave us a passage to the jetty the next day. Great hospitality and perfect house, excellent solution if you have to wait for the jetty in Mersing.

Excellent! Don’t bother with the poor quality hotels near ferry and bus station.

Great homestay if you're in Mersing town

The room (we stayed in Room F) and ensuite were clean. Mr Kam clearly thought about the people who will be staying in the room itself. There were light touches that I appreciated - the mosquito repellant machine thingy, the extra roll of toilet roll anticipating the current will finish (this is not always a given), floor mats (also not a given these days), even has the kiblat direction marked! Toilet has a separator for dry area and wet (shower) area. All windows have black out curtains.

The living room area was a little dusty, but it was due to reno works going on and Mr Kam was apologetic about. Room itself was clean.

Super relaxing and spacious villa

The host was super kind and helpful. He took us several times from town to the villa and back. The villa is super spacious and feels like a true asian home. We could use the huge kitchen as well. The room itself is big and very clean. The area is super quite and relaxing. Also the price is very reasonable for the place and service you get. Everyone who stays at Mersing for one night to go to Tioman, come here and relax a bit. Can totally recommend. Would come again.

Best host I’ve ever met, really help me a lot! He fetch me at terminal bus stop at mersing, treat me for 3 meals I guess, help me call taxi when grab is not available, fetch me to the harbor and so on. It is definitely 100% I recommend this homestay, clean and comfortable plus a nice host🫶🏽

Exceeded our expectations

Super friendly owner who helped us a lot with everything we asked for. The villa is really spacious and comfortable, easy to reach from bus station and jetty. Shower and bed very clean. I can definitely recommend this place for everyone who planning to be in Mersing.

Comfortable & cosy.

The size of the villa, cleanliness, prompt response from the owner.

Insufficient toilets to cater for a group of 13 pax. There are only 2 common toilets, no attached bathrooms except for one of the smallest rooms. Wifi was weak & unstable, otherwise it would’ve been close to perfection.
