Far better than the pictures portray. You need a better photographer for sure.
We had a marvelous time. Unfortunately it was a bit too hot to enjoy the lovely yard, however we enjoyed every moment.
Thank you

The house was perfect for 2 couples to stay at. Location was excellent being very walkable to the square (be sure to check out the Tuesday night farmers market there during the season). Everything we could want was there or easily accessible and this was a perfect launching point for exploring Sonoma.

Ideal for 4 adults (and our dog). Beautiful house, well-appointed, great location for walking, touring wineries and town. Loved relaxing in the large, cool, private back yard.

This cottage was great. Very distinctive look with a delightful front porch to watch the world go by. Directly across the street from a winery and a short, safe walk to historic downtown Sonoma. The cottage was very clean and the host provided all sorts of helpful otems to better enjoy our stay. Would definitely stay again!!

This was a great place to stay. Close to the main square in Sonoma and a short drive to Napa. A beautiful cottage and will stay again.

We had a wonderful time in Sonoma and at this property. Meticulously clean, well located, kitchen had everything we needed. Walking distance to restaurants was so nice. The history of this property made it special to us who are Californians who are interested in our history. Roche and Durelle vineyards were easily drivable.
A lovely stay in every aspect.

This was a perfect place for our family of 4 adults and one infant. The back yard is completely fenced, so it's great for dogs (although no grass, just dirt and ground cover plants). We loved that it was a very short walk to the plaza, which has so many options for restaurants, wine tasting, shopping, etc. Kitchen had everything we needed and the whole house is decorated nicely. It's an old house, but very charming and well maintained.

Great 2night stay! Kids were comfy indoors and played outdoors in the big back yard. Great access to bike trail and town.

This is a lovely, cozy cottage in a very nice neighborhood within easy walking distance to the Sonoma square and just across the street from Sebastiani's tasting room. It has a very well supplied kitchen for those who like to eat in, two comfortable bedrooms, and two full baths. A lot of convenience and space packed into a small cottage! Also it was immaculately clean!
One draw back is it is located at the busy intersection of East Spain and Fourth Street. Communication with the property manager definitely needs improvement and many light bulbs were burned out.

Stayed with the family for Fourth. Easy walk to the Plaza for the parade

Great place and the location is fabulous. Easy to walk into downtown Sonoma.

This home was very clean with a well stocked. It is not shining new with updated everything, but it is very comfortable and clean with a nice seating area in the backyard that offers some shade, if needed. My family and I loved staying here and will definitely do so in the future. You can walk to many things easily. It may be worth noting that one bathroom shower (in the much larger of the two bathrooms) is not as functional as it is a tub with a hand held shower head. If that is an issue, you can all use the other shower. The neighborhood was awesome and the house close to a footpath that walks you into town via the bocce ball courts if you choose to be off of the street.

Easy check in. Great location and home. Cleaning crew did a perfect job.

As a former guest house owner in Sonoma I believe I have high standards for providing a comfortable guest-stay experience. I will say the location is perfectly situated right across the street from Sebastiani Winery and steps from Sonoma's plaza which is planked by great restaurants, shopping and wine tasting. The property has lots of history and even though it is an older home, it is well maintained and clean and definitely has the cozy appeal. If you are expecting high-end amenities and state of the art furnishings, you will not find this bungalow to be that. The property displays historical family photos and furniture. Beds are very comfortable and the property can accommodate what is stated on the description. There are two bathrooms. The tub has a handheld for showering purposes. The other bathroom has a full shower. A huge plus is a gas fireplace that we used on chilly nights. I would highly recommend this property for its wine country charm adding that the decor is begging to be updated!

A stylish house, in a truly nice neighborhood, walking distance to plaza.

I would urge you to replace the stove. Only 3 of the burners work and the oven temperature is not accurately calibrated. Had to make an unexpected run to the market to replace seriously undercooked ribs. You do not need to publish this.

Great location
The home has a little deferred maintenance, however it is great that the historic qualities have been maintained. The location is great, an easy walk to the Sonoma Square.

Not worth the money
Oven and one burner not functioning. There are places that are much nicer for similar money. This place is not a bargain but the location is great.

Disappointing and Expensive Experieince
A dated and uncomfortable property in desperate need of a remodel. Within 30 minutes of arriving we contacted the agent to let them know about stains on the carpet. We also advised them the lights did not work and the house was very cold. There was a fireplace but no firewood was provided. We had a pretty miserable first night. The heating is an old furnace system. There are also several space heaters provided, so the agents clearly know this is a cold house. We told the agent we did not want to stay for 7 nights – the house had too many issues. She told us we were too late to cancel. She said the house is exactly as shown in the pictures – which it is not – and she told us the house is “vintage.” Vintage does not have to mean beat-up and tacky. She offered us a 15% discount and nothing else. We did not want our entire vacation ruined by staying at this house. After 3 nights we moved to the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn where we had a lovely, large recently remodeled room – with a fireplace – and we paid less per night than this house. Sonoma is expensive, but this house is still very poor value. This is not a luxury property. It is run down and outmoded. There are many issues: All the ceiling lights are dim – as if they were on the lowest setting of a dimmer. The whole place feels gloomy. We were told the broken light in the living room would be replaced, but three days later there was no replacement. The bedrooms have an adjoining door so there is no privacy – not a good choice for two couples. The bathroom adjacent to the larger bedroom does not have a full shower. It is a small, very old tub with a handheld shower attached to the faucets. There are many stains on the carpet – in every room. Not sure if they are pet stains or wine stains but we found them to be pretty disgusting - and smelly. The agent told us “Those stains have been there since we started managing the property.” This seemed like an inappropriate response to us. All the woodwork is covered in thick white paint – which looks OK in the pictures but it just covers the many dings and cracks - woodwork throughout is cracked and peeling At the price we paid, we assumed this would be a quality accommodation. It is not. We contacted VRBO to submit a complaint and request a partial refund. We were told that was entirely at the owner’s discretion. In the end the owner/agent did not even reply to the request. Sad we had to waste our time and a lot of money.

house not as listed--terrible maintenance and poor customer service attitude.
I do not recommend this place- due to faulty maintenance and poor customer service attitude. There's no working fireplace as it was advertised, heater was broken when we arrived, Jan 2022, very cold and rainy in Sonoma. Cabin was 46 degrees the first AM. There were large piles of trash and used pizza boxes in the back yard, not picked up for 3 days. We had to call several times about all the problems with this cabin. Back yard is all dirt/mud, as it was raining. Deck is rotting and v dirty, back furniture is cheap plastic, and dirty.Windows were stuck, all extremely difficult to open, and place reeked of cleaning fluid. Carpets v stained. We had to spend 3 mornings communicating with the property manager and the service people they sent over, to fix heater (a part had to be ordered). Handyman sent to help with really filthy mattress. On AM of spouse's major surgery, after dropping him off, I had to rush back to cabin to wait for repairman to arrive to fix heater.(Repair company said I had to be there to let him in.) He indicated that this heater problem was due to faulty maintenance, heater screen was filthy, clogged, putting strain on motor. Prop manager had put in 2 electric heaters (for 6 rooms not incl bathrooms), said to "leave them on all night"- this is a fire safety hazard, esp w dogs. Windows were all stuck, v. difficult to open, and place reeked of cleaning fluid. Mattresses were old, absolutely filthy and one sagging so much that one's head was lower than feet. House was grimy, lots of carpet stains. Laundry area in garage is filthy, dirty laundry from prior guests was piled up on washer when we arrived. Customer service attitude was terrible. Cable TV did not work (passwords required, and not given to us). We'd notified them in advance that we were traveling for medical reasons, and that we had dogs. cabin allows dogs). Our dogs are therapy dogs, well trained. there was no way with the rain/mud back yard to keep their paws completely clean. We did not allow them on the furniture, wiped their paws whenever they came in. Some of the towels had mud on them due to this, no way to avoid it. Unbelievably, property manager said they were charging us a large additional fee, for "extra cleaning". Prior to check out, I had cleaned the kitchen, run the dishwasher, washed the floor, and washed most of the towels. They claimed (not true) that we had ripped a towel and some towels had mud on them. Very difficult and unpleasant to deal with them.

charming Historic Cottage
What a charming historical cottage perfectly located near everything Sonoma square has to offer. While it is located on a busy street corner, the surrounding east side neighborhoods & walking/biking trails are easily accessible. Its a tiny cottage, clean, perfect for 4 at the most. The kitchen is small & not well designed for cooking. The appliances & TV's are outdated and the refrigerator leaked water inside on our food. Carpets are stained and the bed could use a new, higher quality mattress & pillows. The backyard is shaded but is primarily dirt which can be messy. The TV's did not work for the first 3 days we were there until the property manager had the cable company come out. If you bring your pet, be sure to bring your own pooper scooper & bags as none are provided.

Charming home with town history
This is the cutest place. Owned by the descendants of the Sebastiani family who was the first wine makers in Sonoma. The house is across the street from the winery. Great location , close to the plaza. Very clean with everything you might need. We really enjoyed staying there.

Great Sonoma getaway
We stayed only for one night but the house and garden are spectacular and we will definitely try to come back again. The house is conveniently located near restaurants and cafes but not too close and was all we could ask for. Highly recommended.

Great place for families and dogs
My family really loved the location of this place. You can walk to downtown sonoma and there is plenty of things to do for kids. My 4 year old son loved TrainTown and Safari West. The owner was also nice and offered recommendations for wineries with kids and dinner plans. Salt and Stone was awesome! You can also bring your dog and the owner was very understanding and nice when my older dog had an accident in the kitchen. We payed for the clean-up, but he was very understanding. I would love to return!

Well Kept Historic Home With Huge Backyard
My girlfriends and I recently rented this home and let me say, the photos don’t do it justice! It has high ceilings and two dining areas, plus a huge backyard with two more dining tables. We were able to do yoga in the backyard and easily fit 6 mats. The house is a quick walk to downtown Sonoma and a block from the Sonoma Bike Trail. Overall, would absolutely rent this gem again!
