The view and the sunsets were breathtaking. It was very peaceful and all the guests were quietly enjoying their stay and the sunset. If you do not like crowds and enjoy the lagoon activities this is for you!
The amenities were exactly as described.
We loved the access to the free kayaks.
The breakfast was lovely and the locally-made pastries (croissants) were really good! The place is authentic with friendly cats, rosters and chicken running around :-)
We enjoyed the few restaurants, especially the pizzeria!
Our shower was clogged up. We did mention it to the manager on our way out and were very apologetic. I'm sure this was just a one off.

Great and welcoming host - Merci Claude! We really enjoyed that the hotel has a beachfront and we went for a quick wonder at night. They have kayaks and bikes to use for free which is pretty cool! There is a shared kitchen area, but they only offer breakfast, so I suggest bringing your own snacks. If you are looking for some night entertainment please be aware that this is a very quiet area, so maybe not for you!
The hotel is slightly hard to find - there is a sign in the road, but you can easily miss it (as we did! :D)

Fantastic location and views, great facilities, very welcoming and communicative.
Having lost all the money on the bank card to the Booking.com hackers, Claude from Moorea Island Beach Hotel was kind enough to reimburse the cost of our stay and help us in the best way possible during our stay.
No cons with the hotel but MAJOR problem and dissatisfaction with Booking.com.
Over the last months, Partner accounts on Booking.com have been hacked - this was confirmed by Booking itself. Unfortunately this hotel was one of them and we were victims of this scam. After communicating with both the hotel and Booking.com, it was only the hotel management who confirmed to us what had happened, Booking.com remained silent and did not take any responsibility/accountability.
It is a shame that Booking.com is tainting the name and reputation of this great hotel. It is located in a fantastic area, has great facilities and very welcoming and helpful staff. While I highly recommend this hotel to visitors, I strongly suggest that bookings are made directly with the hotel and to avoid Booking.com like the plague. It is very disappointing and disgusting that Booking.com is not taking any responsibility and action against the hacking that has been going on for months, and leaving it's customers and partners in the dark and helpless!
Booking.com, I am still waiting for your replies and would appreciate some information on how I will get my money back that was lost thanks to your incompetence.

Probably adding veggies for breakfast

We didn't have breakfast so we will not comment on it. The facility is superb. We loved the communal area with a good taste pacific decor and its functionality. Rooms had well functioning aircon. We did not use the kitchen to prepare meals but it was there with everything that one would need for cooking. Staff was lovely, always helping with a smile.
Kayaks and bikes are awesome.
Few things were a bit worn off a bit, like room door did not always lock properly. Having few more kayaks would be great as there was a great demand for it and you had to be really fast to secure one. Maybe having a car that could be hired for an hour or two to get to the big supermarket ?

The view at this hotel was absolutely amazing. You can watch the sunset from the beach. The lobby and public areas including the lawn chair areas were clean. This property is in close proximity to the restaurants and boat excursions.
Our room was completely full of mosquitoes. We had to constantly kill mosquitoes during our stay. The room always felt moist and our sheets never smelled clean. Not even from day one.

Location is incredible. Low key and relaxed. Two fridges each. Bikes and kayaks at our disposal. Awesome west side of the island.
Be aware of the fire coral just off the shore. Some better information and warnings would have been helpful. Luckily the doctor was next door and pharmacy down the road.

The location is just beautiful Watching sunsets were the highlight of the trip. It is near tons of shops and restaurants
The rooms did not feel like the pictures. The bathroom was dated and really showed wear and tear.

We stayed for 1 week. We loved the location right on the beach and near good restaurants. The Lodge was beautiful, we had use of the big clean kitchen and our own refrigerator shelf plus a small refrigerator in our bungalow. Kayaks were available for us to use first come first serve that we could paddle to coconut beach and between the islands with. Snorkeling right in front of the lodge (watch out for the huge stinging sea anemones) our bungalow was comfortable and adorable. Breakfast, coffee, dinner, sunset, stargazing on the lodge deck overlooking the beach and lagoon was perfect. Many times we felt like we were the only ones there. It was so relaxing and quiet. The hotel staff was so nice and always smiling. We would definitely stay again.
A couple more beach loungers would be nice when there are more than 5 people out.

The island was incredible.
It felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. The breakfast was undercooked eggs.

We really enjoyed the location of this hotel. Facing West meant fantastic sunsets. The lodge was really nice, with extra refrigerator space for each bungalow. Overall, this was a really good value and was within walking distance to some really great restaurants. This is a really great option if you want that air bnb feel on the beach but with a few extra amenities.
The beds were a little too firm for us, but that's just a personal preference. Also, we really tried to get away with not renting a car. I think my only advice would be to rent a car. While there are things close by, it would have been nice to have a car to explore more of the island.

This place is PARADISE ON EARTH - let me start with the managers Claude, a super cool French Gent and his wonderful local wife Virgilia - they immediately made us feel at home! The place is within a protected lagoon, amazing sunsets, gorgeous guests’ main pavilion to lounge around, a beautiful beach in front of the property, and restaurants and a few markets nearby.
Moorea is a place where you want to be unless you are splurging out thousands of dollars per night in Bora Bora’s main international hotels (which are by the way not on the main island - but rather on it’s own motus (islands)). Highly recommend this fantastic place!
Having to leave!

This was a wonderful and relaxing resort, with beautiful facilities and welcoming owners and staff. I proposed to my partner here, and the owners helped organise things at a moment’s notice and made it such a special evening.
Nothing. We had such a wonderful stay and felt welcome and happy throughout. Staff were always available to help and offer good advice.
