Only hand soap. Paper thin walls. Cash payment.

Great location, the room was spacious and very clean. Big terrace to hang out
Maybe it’s cause i came during low season, but I wasn’t really offered any breakfast options
4.0
Lovely stay , family who runs it is so helpful and sweet. The place is clean and very good value for money , the breakfast is very tasty. We actually came back and stayed twice as a group of 4 as we loved our stay
The only downside which is not Shanti Shanti’s fault is the loud noise from construction and the street
3.0
Really nice rooms with private bathrooms. Lovely breakfast and staff.
Extremely loud building works which woke us all up at 5am and did not stop on a main road & opposite a school so very loud overall.
2.5
Price was higher than what we saw in the app!?!
Only cash payments accepted and no info on the app!?!
Why does booking do not have this information more prominent while the user makes the reservations??

Large, light and airy rooms, nice terace in each floor, very tasty breakfasts, helpfull señora Angelica from the reception
whole San Pedro is very noisy village, also in this hotel I recommend earplugs for nights

Location is great, and staff were friendly and helpful during a power outage. Breakfast was good.
The beds weren't comfortable, got 1 blanket for our 2 beds, and there was a small pile of hair on the counter which didn't get swept up.
3.0
The location was good
The room was small. The hot water was tepid at best. We stayed 4 nights and our room was not cleaned. The lights from the school over the road were annoying as they came on late at night very bright in our room as the curtains were very thin.

The location is really not far from the dock. We realized we didn't need to take a Tuk-Tuk after all. The room was clean and bare with no extras, so it was hard to get comfy and cozy. While there isn't a party culture at this hotel, there is a lot of noise on the streets at night, so you hear all of it, but the hotel really can't do much to control this. The host was very helpful in communicating with the tour guides for me.
Comfortable seating in the rooms could be added.

My room was amazing!! Big, light, with a little kitchen and a good shower. The bed was definitely the most comfortable one in my 6 weeks traveling. The owner is very nice and the breakfast is great. The location is also very good.
Nothing.

A very clean room, friendly host, and nice breakfast.
Honestly, for the price the property would have got a 10 if it wasn’t for this.
Showers that heat the water in electrical heads are common in the region and installed correctly are fine. However, the wiring on this one looked sketchy and upon closer inspection I noticed it was not earthed. This is a little bit terrifying tbh. Subsequently I chose to shower elsewhere during my stay. An easy fix but quite a big downside tbh.

Great location & great breakfast choices
Very strange checkin process with no information given or payment accepted. Mid-way through our stay we were then told we had to pay immediately. We expected a friendly family run hotel, but the owners were quite unfriendly and un-accommodating. Rooms not cleaned during the stay, and also remember to ask for towels as it should be provided but they do not leave in the rooms and you have to request it.

Location was very good and the breakfast was amazing!
It's so noisy on the street all the time, so it's hard to get some sleep. Also the walls in the hotel are so thin, that you can clearly hear what people are talking about in next room. Very old furniture, our bed (room n.5) almost fell apart when you just sit on it.
4.5
Clean rooms and a very friendly team. Great breakfast with different options from the menue. They also own a Shanti Shanti restaurant at the lake with the best view in the village. Totally recommend going there for lunch or dinner!

- the room & bathroom were clean
- staff are very lovely
- it can be noisy from the street

Owners were helpful when I had questions, the place was really clean and tidy, and the breakfasts were amazing and HUGE! Only like a 5 minute walk from the main strip, so it was really close to everything. Very affordable. I was working during my stay and the wifi was not good in my first room, but I had to switch rooms and the wifi was a lot better in the second one!
In my first room, there were some exposed wires in the shower head. While I was in the shower, they started burning and melting the plastic coating (I could smell the melting plastic). It was pretty concerning... the owner was really apologetic and moved me to a new room immediately. The next one was fine. This was my only unpleasant experience in a week of staying in this place -- everything else was wonderful.

I loved my stay at Shanti Shanti. Nice, spacious room, it was clean and a great location. Really lovely and helpful staff and it had everything I needed.
*** Gracias Angelica and Paulina, I still miss San Pedro!
Nothing I can think of.

generally quiet location that is removed from the party hostels and bars but still walkable to the Main Street. I had extended my stay for one more night and got moved to another room which had better showers (hot water!!).
walls were a little thin so you can hear your neighbors and customers eating at the restaurant downstairs but after 11, it’s very quiet.

Big, comfortable bed, big bathroom with hot water, strong WiFi even on the terrace. Close to the dock and the turistic part of the town.
Could use some more furniture. The only window in our room led to the hall, so we had to have it closed all the time. Lot of noise from the street and neighbors.

we were pleasantly surprised with the size of our room, the value for money was great! Our bed was really comfortable, we enjoyed hot showers and filtered drinking water. breakfast was included and nice too. Great location. we’d definitely stay again.
for the price I have only good things to say!

Outstanding value. Staff is very accommodating, The restaurant has a large menu with good food. Good wifi even during the frequent rains.
3.0
Good location. Served the purpose of somewhere to put your bags and base. Staff seemed nice.
You could hear everything including your neighbor's slightest cough, sneeze or conversation.
3.5
The location was good away from all the loud places at night but close enough to be in walking distance to everything.
the breakfast was a bit weird and staff weren’t too nice.
