I wish every place we stayed in Europe had the authenticity of this lovely home. It was clean and incredibly comfortable. I loved cuddling up on the soft sofas. If you are American and want your Netflix…bring an hdmi cable and the iPhone connector. Worked perfectly. We sat on the balcony morning and evening and enjoyed the view and the people. The “pirate” below was quite entertaining. The cafe just up the street was our morning coffee/croissant stop. Almost everything is an easy walk! I highly recommend contacting Luca with Mini Rome Tours for an amazing evening in his vintage mini Cooper! Thank you again to Gina and Christina for your wonderful hospitality and opening up your beautiful home for guests. Truly memorable

Great location, everything was perfect. The Host Gian’s communication was awesome. I would definitely refer this apartment to anyone visiting Rome. Thank you Gian for going to the extra mile to make our stay memorable.

This property was accurately listed. The apartment is on the 4th floor of an historic palace in Rome. There was an elevator which came in handy with getting our luggage to the apartment. There was plenty of space to spread out and have some room. The air conditioning worked well which was nice since Rome was extremely hot. The property is about 15 minutes from all the major attractions we were visiting.

This was our first time as a family to Italy and it did not disappoint. Our host Gian and his wife Cristiana were absolutely amazing to work with leading up to our trip and wonderful hosts while we were there. We truly felt like family as they extended what use to be their home to our family for the week.
The location was perfect and the terrace gave us beautiful views enjoy a nice Italian glass of wine and look out over the Trajan Forum.
Thank you Gian and Cristina for a wonderful stay and welcoming us into your beautiful home and city.

The property was even better than the pictures on VRBO. Gian, the owner arranged for transportation for our group of six from the train station and to the cruise port. He made every effort to make our stay first class. He had breakfast snacks for us, candies and bottled water. The view of the Roman Forum from our bedroom was incredible. We were right beside the Victor Emmanuel Monument. A great location for sure. When we return to Rome we hope to stay here again. We cannot say enough nice things about this property.

Our family of four stayed at this beautiful villa for three nights in June. What made our stay exceptional was the generosity and kindness of our hosts, Cristina and Gian. Well before our arrival, they helped us book tours, restaurants and transportation. They welcomed us personally when we arrived and gave a thorough introduction to the spacious and immaculate villa and helpful advice regarding our itinerary. Gian kindly made last minute restaurant reservations for us. The kitchen had breakfast items for the next day, cold water in the refrigerator and a couple of bottles of wine. It was very hot in Rome during our visit, and it was truly a joy and relief to return to our centrally located, air-conditioned and well-appointed villa. Thank you, Cristina and Gian, for our superb stay.

We were able to snag this apartment for a four day stay with our two college age girls for their first trip exploring Rome and we couldn't be more pleased.
The location of the apartment is ridiculous- the photos do not lie- it is in the middle of everything. Steps outside put you in the heart of the city. Yet, somehow, it was quiet and peaceful inside.
The apartment is immaculate and our host, Gian had thoughtfully made it feel like a luxe hotel- Frette robes, treats in the kitchen, a bottle of wine, etc. And he couldn't have been nicer, helping with transportation and great advice for nearby restaurants and bakeries.
We will definitely book again when we return to Rome in the future and are recommending this apartment to all of our friends who will be travelling there.
Grazie Mille!

The listing was very accurate. It was in a beautiful area with major tourist attractions close by as well as outstanding restaurants. The check-in process was excellent and everything was clean. Comfortable beds, great choice of coffee, and snacks upon arrival, etc. Would stay there again

If you have the opportunity and the means you must stay at this carefully curated home in an ideal area in Rome. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and can easily say this is the best so far. The home itself is spectacular, truly a home, with Italian and historical features which put you in the Italian holiday mood. Everything is provided, from ultra comfortable beds to fabulous toiletries and kitchenware. In addition, everything is spotless. The location could not be better and we walked everywhere. The Roman Forum is at the doorstep, with the Colosseum very close, Trevi Fountain etc all within walking distance. Even with all these features, my family all agreed the best part of the stay is the hospitality and helpfulness of the hosts, Gian and Cristina. They are so kind and go above and beyond to make your stay spectacular, as ours was! A big thank you to them for all the planning and arranging of tours, for answering all our (ignorant?) questions and for being the most amazing ambassadors in Rome.
No exaggeration in any of this, truly a wonderful VRBO stay.

From the moment we joined our stay the hosts, Gian and Cristina were incredibly helpful in planning private tours, personal chef, and private excursions. They are warm and friendly and the property is spectacular. An ideal location that allowed us to walk to all the best restaurants and sites. Beyond our expectations!

This is without a doubt the perfect home from which to explore all that Rome has to offer. The location could not be more beautiful, with windows and a balcony overlooking Trajan's Forum, it is an easy walk to the Forum, Palatine Hill, the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. The home is exquisitely appointed, and every last detail has been thought about to ensure guests have everything they need to settle in. The hosts, Gian and Christina, are gracious and welcoming, as if you were beloved relatives coming for a visit. If you want to immerse yourself in Rome and live like a local, you cannot do better than this wonderful home.

This beautiful palace is a home away from home! It has every amenity: three bedrooms, three bathrooms, full kitchen with everything you need to cook when you need a night in after a long day of sightseeing ! A dining room with a large table and amazing murals on the walls. The family room was large, yet, felt cozy for our adult family of five, and they provided a wonderful selection of coffee table books about the history of Rome as well. The location is perfect for visiting multiple sites in Rome, as well as being easy to pop to the pharmacy around the corner, the grocery or a coffee shop/bakery. The description and the photos are absolutely accurate. Trajans column the Forum, and Victor Emmanuel monument, (a.k.a. the wedding cake) are located outside your windows with a quaint balcony with chairs and a little table to sit outside and enjoy the views. Literally “a room with a view”! The hosts could not have been more welcoming, informative and helpful! We will positively stay here again on our next jaunt to Italy!

Everything about this place is perfection! Form the location (near charming neighborhood of Monti as well as major sights like the colosseum and forum); to the view (wonderful balcony); to the host family and their support and amazing recommendations; to the gorgeous place itself. The apartment is gorgeous and while “classic Roman” everything is clean and up to date with modern comforts. If you want to stay in a nice place and need three bedrooms (or even two), you can’t beat this beauty!!

I hoped to find a special place to stay for my family's first vist to Rome. With all the options available, it can be a little overwhelming. Fortunately I found "The View", and it met our every expectation. The photos from VRBO are true, but nothing like sitting on the small balcony and taking it all in. It was also nice to be so close to all the activity of Rome (which is loud like any major city), but still off on a small side street with little traffic. The layout was perfect for a family of four with teenagers who got their own bedrooms. But our favorite part of the stay was meeting the hosts who could not have been more accommodating. Their book of suggestions sent us to a local farmers market to get our stay started and to off the beaten path restaurants they frequent. Gian was even so kind as to make reservations and arrange our transport. The entire experience was magical and perfect in every way.

Gian and Christine were wonderful and thoughtful hosts! The apartment was very well appointed and was convenient to walk to all of the sights of Rome, we could not have found better a place to stay. Fantastico!

We recently stayed at this fantastic apartment near the Roman Forum during our visit to Rome, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The classic Roman flat offered not only comfort but also breathtaking views of the city that added to the overall charm of our stay.
The apartment was immaculately clean, reflecting the owner's dedication to maintaining a welcoming space for guests. The hospitable owners made our experience even more memorable, offering insights into the local culture and ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay.
If you're seeking a genuine Roman experience, this apartment is the perfect choice. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a blend of authenticity, comfort, and those captivating Roman views that will leave you with lasting memories of your time in this beautiful city.

Gian and Christina provided a beautiful and comfortable apartment for our first visit to Italy. Their apartment had everything we needed, including a warm and gracious welcome, and regular touch points to ensure that our stay was enjoyable! We had a wonderful time, and highly recommend it!

Gian and his family offer a beautiful apartment in a central location. We had easy access to everything, and the location made getting around very simple. The apartment was spacious and allowed us to make breakfast each day before we headed out to see the sights. We couldn't have asked for a nicer home base. We highly recommend this apartment. Thank you.

It is difficult to describe how wonderful it was to find ourselves in this beautiful apartment looking out at Trajan's Column, the Vittoriano and Ancient Rome. The central location was perfect for walking everywhere. There is a convenient taxi stand a minute away if needed. The hosts are across the hall and very helpful with tours, reservations, recommendations. They have prepared a book full of great information regarding restaurants, tours, shopping, etc. The apartment is furnished and decorated as if a family lives in it. It does not feel like a rental apartment. Instead, you'll find beautiful linens, towels, artwork, furnishings, draperies, murals and books throughout the apartment. There is an elevator and much appreciated washer & dryer, too. In spite of being in the heart of Rome, it was quiet and peaceful, especially after a full day of sightseeing. The kitchen has everything required for cooking full meals. Each bedroom is charming with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are well appointed. The balcony is a great place to have a coffee or glass of wine to watch the world go by or the sky changing colors as the sun sets. Of the many apartments & homes I've rented through VRBO over the years, this is one of the best. It is an outstanding property and made our stay in Rome especially comfortable and memorable.

We spent 4 days in Roma early Summer 2023. Gian and Christina had excellent communication even before showing up and they couldn’t have been more helpful during the stay as well. The apartment was clean and spacious, plenty of room for our family of four. Very comfortable beds. The location is perfect, central to many of the things tourists would want to see, easily walkable to many great restaurants, gelaterias, the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc. Cab fare to the Sistine Chapel was about 10-12 Euro for our family and easy to find a ride in front of Piazza Venezia (right outside the apartment). We had a great trip and would easily stay here again.

The photos in the listing- both the stunning view from the bedroom/terrace and the beautifully decorated interior- struck my wife and I immediately. It was love at first sight and we knew we had to stay here.
We can say now that the apartment is even more beautiful in person, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations.
Gian is a courteous and attentive host, he made sure we had everything we needed from well before we arrived all the way through to our departure He booked us drivers as needed and was flexible with our arrival and departure times. The housekeeper, Giody, was warm and welcoming when she greeted us upon our arrival, and everything was spotlessly clean.
The apartment was generously appointed with coffee, snacks, both flat and carbonated bottled water, toiletries, laundry supplies for the washer and dryer, even a nice bottle of wine. Everything one could need was there.
In summary, it is a unique, wonderful place to stay and a highlight of our Italian vacation. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at Colonna Traiana. The apartment was perfect for our family and had all the amenities you would ever need. Gian was helpful and prompt in all our communications and was very helpful in putting me in contact with local experts who helped arrange private tours and tickets. The apartment is in an ideal location and we were able to walk to most destinations. Definitely a memorable stay!

Beautiful, capacious apartment on Venezia Square in the heart of the city. The balcony views are incredible, with the Imperial Fora directly below and the Vittorio Emanuele II National Monument in the foreground. We had a prefect view of the archaeological sites below the balcony as well as the tourists wandering around the square.
The apartment features classy decor and refined furnishings. It is full of books and there is a very helpful guide.
Getting around was so simple, as all of the sites are a short walk away and the sites are well signed for pedestrians.
Very well managed (by Glody) and most kind and obliging owners who really went out of their way to make this a very memorable stay.

Together with my friends and business partners we reserved some quality time. And what better place to meet than right in the center of Rome! 😀 We loved our stay. The city, the food, the vibes... and yes, last but not least... this fantastic apartment within walking distance to all attractions. 10 out of 10 stars for Gian and his wife. Perfect hosts!!

Our 11 day stay at Cristina and Gian's apartment could not have been better. We arrived home about a week ago and are still talking about it. Gian was in contact with me proactively about every possible thing. They live across the hall from this apartment so they are always there if you need them. They know Rome so well and their recommendations were always spot on. The apartment itself is warm, comfortable and immaculate. The photos don't even do the apartment justice. Everything works properly and is well maintained. The three bathrooms and three bedrooms were more than we needed. The kitchen was easy to work in. Their "book" about the apartment was very helpful. And of course, the location of the apartment could not have been better. We knew it was convenient to visit the tourist spots but the killer view from the windows and balcony made you want to just stay home some mornings with an espresso, sit on the balcony table, and watch Rome go by. We would definitely stay there again.
