We stayed at this property during family weekend at Furman University. The location was great as it was close to the University. Our weekend was full of activities, so we were looking for a place with comfortable clean beds and this place soon as us perfectly.

The house is a nicely laid out 3/2 for six adults…except putting a king size bed in the third bedroom leaves no room to walk down one side, which means, if there are two of you, you either crawl to the end of the bed or over the other person to get in or out of bed.
When we arrived a little after our 4pm check in time, the beds were not made and wet sheets and towels were in the dryer and the washer. Fortunately, we were in town to see my son a few blocks away, so we took half the load to his house to use the dryer.
A very nice cleaning lady did show up about 4:15 and was very much surprised to find the house occupied. She did a good job cleaning and made the one bed that we had dry sheets for.
The kitchen is adequate. There were 8 full size glasses but only a few smaller. There were enough plates. Be aware that the drawer with the cooking utensils next to the refrigerator may fall out when opened. There are six chairs at the table which can supplement the sofa and loveseat for seating in the family room. There were two trash cans in the house; a third in the second bath would have been nice. Speaking of bathrooms, one showerhead is very low and would be inconvenient for many people. There is a large flat yard in the back if you have kids that need room to run and play.
Around 1:30 AM of the first night, the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms crashed down on my daughter and her husband while they were sleeping. Upon inspection, it was noted that the fan had been mounted with two sheetrock anchors, definitely not to code. Judging by the three sets of holes in the ceiling, this was not the first time the fan had been mounted. We contacted the owner who said that he could try to find someone to remount the fan or that we could move out immediately and receive a refund for the second night. We declined both options, as it was New Year's Eve, it was raining, and we had a major family event beginning in a couple of hours for the remainder of the weekend.

The home is located in a quiet neighborhood. Keith was fast to reply with answers to our questions. The home was clean and the location was a ½ mile from the Swamp Rabbit Trail and a little over a mile to Main Street Travelers Rest.
If you are looking for a place to stay so you can ride your bike to the trail you might want to consider this. Yes, the home is ½ mile from the trail however, be ready to ascend/descend some pretty steep roads with curves. Admittedly, we are from Florida (Flatlanders) so, if you are from an area with hills, this might not be an issue for you.
Most VRBO’s are equipped with a hair dryer. This was not one of them. Since that is pretty standard these days, we did not think to ask or pack one.
On our second day the lawn care person showed up and also sprayed the outside of the home with pesticides which were very strong. He told us that the odor will last for two days. For the remaining three days there was no way to stay out on the porch because of the strong odor of pesticide. The overall rating mostly reflects the pesticide issue preventing us from utilizing the outdoor space.

Perfect for us!
We came into town for a wedding and decided to stay the whole week before to explore around. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Was a welcome change from some of the hotels/motels we had to stay in on the way down. There were a few issues throughout our stay that were no fault of the owner, just natural things that break down in a house. The owner had sent out Leslie to help with some stuff and she left her number if anything else came up.
She was super helpful with any questions and easy to reach, and was able to give some ideas of places to see around town as well! Would 100% stay again, if our travels bring us back to the area!

Perfect Accomodations
This is was great house to stay in. We were in town visiting my daughter at Furman and it was conveniently located to the university and the Furman Golf Course. Close to restaurants and Swamp Rabbit Trail. Lovely bedrooms with large comfy beds and tvs in every room. My teens loved that! We had everything we needed. Great communication with the property manager, Keith and his wife. Lovely people and very accommodating. This rental didn't disappoint. Book with confidence.
