Was as good as the pics

You always worry if the house will be as good in person - especially when it's expensive (although inline with mkt post covid) -and this definitely was. Great layout, lots of rooms. I loved the two masters - smart idea - and the rooms with two double beds, which were perfect for two parents and one young child - we had two sets of those. The furniture was comfy (I remember not being sure from the pics but it was). The bathrooms weren't updated, but they were in good shape and were beachy cute. The kitchen was updated and well stocked with cooking needs (cheap pots pans etc but also some things that were more specialized). There were a lot of sand toys and also a shade thing that we didn't get out. The beach was nice. It was big enough that even during high tide there is plenty of beach. My brother-in-law commented that it was good our deck was raised so you could see over the dunes to the water, which was a problem with some of the houses. The only downside was that there wasn't a town with lots of restaurants around the water. But the grocery was close and there were several restaurants around. The lack of a cute town probably is what kept the beach cleaner and not so crowded (even the wk before July 4th). And there were a few shaved ice carts that came by even with the beach not packed. It was also clean on check in - we saw the cleaner on our way in and she had definitely done a thorough job. It was nice to not have to check in at an office offsite and just use the door code rather than a key.

Sandy toes and salty kisses worked for us.
Sandy toes and salty kisses worked for us.
The location is great. The house is dated but still roomy and plenty of good sitting and sleeping spaces. The best kitchen utensils, dishes and pans we ever had. We had fun as a family with four generations.
