The large deck with a built-in splash pool is the perfect spot to unwind, and kids will delight in feeding turtles, fish, and ducks from the balconies. Convenience is essential, with the property within walking distance to Silver Sands Designer Factory Stores, just one mile east of the Sandestin Resort and Village at Baytowne Wharf, and minutes away from Destin Commons Mall and popular family attractions. Explore various dining options within a brief walk, with Winn-Dixie supermarket just one block away and a Public supermarket a mile east. Golf enthusiasts will find premier courses within a short drive, adding to the allure of this prime location. The home comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests, featuring a thoughtfully planned layout with a first-floor king suite with an en-suite bathroom, a well-appointed kitchen, and dining and living areas. The second floor offers additional sleeping space: a King suite, a double King bedroom, a bunk room for four, and a cozy bunk nook for two. If you choose not to opt for the damage waiver, we must hold a security deposit of $1,000. This deposit will be refundable, with a 3% processing fee deducted. From the moment that we called the property manager with questions, we were impressed! Their service was top notch and provided everything that we needed. The neighborhood was great and a short walk to the beach.

The property was clean for the most part, I found a dead roach in the shower. The pool is way smaller than what you see in the picture. Very close to the beach.

The house and location were wonderful. The home was clean and spacious for our 5 adults and 3 children. The only thing we noticed was that additional silverware, for larger groups would be handy. We had an issue with a wasp nest that was taken care of quickly. The rental property management were great to work with. Highly recommend this house and the Shipwatch area.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was well stocked with towels which was much appreciated. The beach was literally in the back yard. The grocery store was in walking distance and and there was an outlet about a 10 min walk away.if the opportunity to come back comes up and the house is available I'd stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this beach house. The house had plenty of space and great amenities. The proximity to the beach was amazing. The walk to the beach is only 2 minutes. The children loved seeing all of the turtles that are in the pond behind the house. I would really recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect beach house location. Thank you for letting us stay at this great property. We cant wait to come back in the future!

My family spent a week in this beautiful home and had a great time! We enjoyed the local restaurants and also cooked/grilled in the kitchen. The house was clean and comfortable and was just a 2 minute walk from the private beach. The Property Manager was great at communicating and very friendly!
I would highly recommend this home for your family vacation. It truly was everything we’d hoped for in a vacation home!

The property was as advertised. It was more than well equipped with everything needed for a beach vacation with a private feel to it all.
Of importance, the company representing the property actually allowed us to gain access to the gated entrance so we could park our vehicles (in the overflow lot) before the house was ready. This greatly impacted our first day, as it allowed our family to go to the beach hours before he house was ready.

Great property for extended family gathering! The multiple master bedroom suites were so nice for larger groups. Loved the turtles and fish off the deck and close proximity to the beach for easy and private access. We did have a maintenance issues but they were quick to resolve and address. Washer and dryer were great to have on site. Loved the area and will
return for sure!

The house was in a great location for the wedding because it was very convenient to the venue. The beach overwalk was terrific. House was lovely. However, the parking situation should be explained to folks because parking for any kind of truck or large SUV is limited. Also the noise from the neighbor to the left's pool unit was annoying when sitting on back porch.

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house is as described. It is very large, open, and spacious with high ceilings that make it feel even bigger. The back deck is large and the upstairs screen porch is a wonderful place to hang out as well. Proximity to the beach is a huge plus… we could easily walk back and forth to the property. The property came with some boogie boards, chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon which was so helpful. The house was clean and they even let us get in a little early. Oh and the grocery store is right across the street which is really convenient.
The house has clearly been rented frequently and the kitchen could use a little love. The kitchen is not well stocked, we had to go out and buy our own can opener and pot holders. Also the best are the most comfy. But overall that did not detract from our stay…. The house and the closeness of the beach were so worth it and we would love to go back.

We really enjoyed our time at Anchors Away! The property was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our two families. We loved being steps away from the beach and enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles. Would definitely stay here again!

The check-in process was very smooth, we didn't have any issues while staying here, and the location was phenomenal: we were able to walk to the grocery store across the street and walk to a restaurant down the street. The neighborhood is also welcoming and the private beach is a nice calm spot.

Sure did miss the heated pool - in fact, it should be taken off the website description if it will never be fixed - but we enjoyed it all the same and we will keep on list of places to stay in future. great location, loved the private beach access.

We had a multi-generational family group stay for a long weekend. Plenty of room for folks to spread out. The weather was chilly and rainy, so we didn't get to use the outdoor facilities, but I could see how great they'd be in the summer.

We stayed at this location last week for fall break. The house is in a great location with plenty of room and a quick walk to the beach. We payed for the pool to be heated and then after several calls and maintenance coming out we found out it couldn't be heated. The washer/dryer was supposed to be fixed on the second day of our stay. We assumed it was fixed and washed a whole load of laundry the night before departure. The dryer didn't heat at all. We had to take a load of wet clothes home. We have emailed the rental company and they just offered thanks for letting us know. I don't think I would rent here again because of these problems. We spent lots of time calling and emailing while on vacation.

Location and layout of house was outstanding! Literally 2 min walk to beach. Within 1 mile of grocery stores, shopping, restaurants. We did have a few issues which we reported to property manager. They had housekeeper come out on Sunday to reclean upstairs. However, the fishy odor from the washing machine (we used a nearby laundromat), the leaking from the freezer, and the broken wooden trim at end of outdoor pool were going to require more than a quick fix. Manager Jen said they were aware of those issues previously. We advised they remove washing machine from list of amenities at the very least. They offered to reimburse cost of laundromat. Also during the stay, kitchen island lights stopped working but still had good lighting from canned ceiling lights. The room layout and house size is perfect for multigenerational families. Beds were comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay for our family of 10. The home was a very short walk to the beach that was not crowded. The location of the home was perfect, very close to everything and accommodated our family. We will be back!

Our family of 11 thoroughly the house and the proximity to the beach. The grill either needs new burners or it needs to be replaced. Also, the panty door slams shut even with little force. We would definitely consider renting it again.

The property was in such a great location on a private beach. Being able to walk back and forth to the house quickly if anything was forgotten made "beach days" more relaxing. The private beach and water are beautiful.
We had a little bit of a weird run-in with the maintenance person, but we were grateful that they sent someone over promptly when one of the toilet handles broke during our stay.
Overall, the accommodations are very comfortable, and the interactions with the property manager were simple and helpful.

This place was great! The location alone is every reason we will book here again next year. The home is so close to the beach. I was shocked at how wonderful the entire beach experience was, from the short walk to the private beach it was amazing. The grocery store is so close and accessible and that is helpful when vacationing with large groups. Things to do and activities were so close and easy to get to considering the traffic that takes place in the area. The house was fantastic and so comfortable. Plenty of room for our large group to feel cozy with space.

This is our third time in Destin and we typically stay in condos for beach access ease. This place had the beach access ease with the comfortability of staying in a house. Excellent set up for a family.

The property itself was great. There truly were no extras so bring everything you might need. The neighborhood and private beach were outstanding. One of our favorite spots in Florida for the family.

Our family vacation had a great home base. The house is well-designed and comfortable. We had a very good experience. If I was pushed to say anything negative, the carpets are a bit worn in spots, but it was not a big deal.

We had a fabulous spring break at the Anchors Away house. The layout of the house is perfect for multiple families vacationing together. We loved that there are two en suite master bedrooms and the kids loved the bunk beds and their very own tv. The house is very convenient to grocery and outlet shopping. You can literally walk to both. The Gulf is a 2 min walk which was also very convenient. The beach is private which was really nice. You basically have the beach to yourself and we got lucky with a couple of warm days and calm water. We had a few minor issues but they were quickly resolved by the property management. Def would stay here again.

I rented this place for a couple of days just hoping to get away from everything and spend time with friends and family. Well we ALL had wished we could of stayed a little longer. The house was absolutely Georgeous and had plenty of space. Each bed was very comfortable to sleep in and the lake outside of the deck was so calming. I fed the turtles and fish every day and loved the view of the fountain. Beach was literally steps away… I am definitely staying here again Thank you for making our stay perfect

The house was perfect for our family gathering. We had adequate space for everyone. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. My grandson loved feeding the turtles and fish off the deck and the pool was the perfect size for him to play in after a day at the beach!
