About this apartment rental
This is a first floor flat in the Elmwood Village. Built 1898, it has been beautifully maintained. It is steps to the shops, restaurants, bars, galleries &fun. 3-4 blocks from the Saturday farmers market and the Lexington Food Co-op, Close to Buffalo State College and Canisius College. 20-25 minute drive to Niagara Falls, 4 miles from Canalside, Buffalo's fabulous waterfront harbor. 1 mile to Delaware park, with Art gallery, Japanese Garden, lake with paddle boat rentals, jazz in the park.
This home is over a hundred years old and has period woodwork, and beautiful hardwood floors. Because of its age there is only one full bathroom. There is off street parking (2 spaces) behind the house but it is a narrow driveway. Large trucks, suburbans etc will not fit. There is a washer and dryer for your use in the basement. There are two 32" TV's, one in the living room and one in the largest bedroom. All three bedrooms have a window unit A/C, from June - October, but the main living space just has fans and large windows that all open.

My stay was great and i definitely stay there again.

Location was great, quick walk to Elmwood for coffee every morning. Quiet neighborhood for the most part, mix of families, visitors and young professionals.
Property was spacious - could comfortably sleep 8, beds were comfy, beautiful woodwork throughout.
Could use some cosmetic updates in the bedrooms and bathroom and yes, the driveway is extremely and intimidatingly narrow so if we could find street parking we opted for it.
Owner was super responsive with one issue we had with entry code. I'd definitely rent this property in the future!

Very quiet neighborhood seems safe very roomie home drive a little narrow to park behind street parking limited but overall very quaint cozy home felt like being home not a hotel would definitely stay again and recommend

The house is quaint but comfortable. Love the location! There is a coffee shop, sandwich place, and ice cream parlor within walking distance. The house is convenient to sites in Buffalo and only 30 minutes to Niagara Falls.

A bit ragged around the edges, but you can't beat being within walking distance of Elwood Ave., Albright Knox and Delaware Park.

My sister & her grandson & I had a wonderful time staying at your apartment.
We discovered ourselves that the bathtub is Very Slow at draining & that the chair in the dining room, at the end of the table (closest to the window) is missing the center part, the "seat" itself. Obviously, we didn't notify you, we were too busy enjoying ourselves, and you probably already know 😉 And, it wasn't a huge deal breaker for us - lol!
Overall Experience- absolutely fantastic!!! Next time I visit my family in Buffalo overnight, I will Definitely Reach Out to You First!!!
Thanks so much for having us!

We enjoyed the Luke Combs concert this weekend and the house has a nice location and the local grocery stores are very nice and clean areas. The house doesn't have any utensils so we did have to share plastic ones for the weekend and the oven is too small to use the provided cooking sheets so maybe bring your own kitchen items if you do need to cook in the kitchen.

Just what I wanted from a classic Buffalo property in an ideal part of town.

Owner was very receptive to a couple issues, which were very quickly resolved despite it being Christmas weekend. The house is spacious and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Just what I was looking for our 3 day visit to my hometown! I love the old houses in what I call the Chapin neighborhood, and this one fit the bill. I would stay here again. Let’s go Buffalo!

The house was exactly as listed. The front patio is great. Very quiet neighborhood at night, but is a short walk to some lively pubs and restaurants. Would recommend this place.

My wife and I stayed here for the month of September, 2023. The flat was just what we needed for a long stay - decent, well equipped kitchen, lots of room, etc. The neighborhood was great. (I lived nearby for a few years as a toddler and again for a decade after graduating from college, so maybe I'm prejudiced.) Good shops and restaurants nearby, and some superb cultural institutions, including the newly expanded Albright Know.

The home was clean and tidy. The location is perfect. Plenty of space, and a great front porch. There is lots of character inside the house and beautiful dark wood accents - however, this does tend to make it a little darker inside. Overall, a good stay!

We loved having a front porch, walking distance to a lot of stores and restaurants.

Well we must love it because this is our second visit to this very same property! We love the house and the property. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house is lovely. The property manager Dan is extremely nice and attentive to our needs. House is about a half hour from Niagara Falls among other local attractions. Highly recommend.

Comfortable apartment with east checkin. All beds were great. Lots of fans and A/C units. Parking on the street wasn’t a problem. Definitely will return

Beautiful first level home. Very spacious and well appointed. Dan was truly a super host. We loved the location by Elmwood Ave shops and convenience to everything.

Great old house, but comes with the ailments....creaky wood floors, creepy basement (that's where the washer/dryer is), low water pressure - oh, and if you are over 5 ft tall, you will have to bend down under the shower head. No dishwasher (we used our teenagers). Needs new towels furnished. Lovely front porch to sit and people watch. We did a lot of walking around the neighborhood to see the wonderful houses and gardens. The kind of house not for uppity people. Unless you have a compact car, you will NOT fit down the driveway to the back (we had an Altima and had to pull the side mirrors in before we drove it. There is parking on the street. We loved it!

Pretty much as described. Located in a cool neighborhood with lots of stuff nearby via car or walking. Host hadn't given me any info less than 24 hours prior to our trip (even after I had messaged him), which was very out of the ordinary for any Vrbo I've used in the past. At the end of the day, all worked out fine and we very much enjoyed our stay in this classic Buffalo neighborhood and house.

This is a cute old house in a really fun neighborhood. We didn’t even need to communicate with the owner as all the info was already given, smooth in & out and the place was just as was stated. One thing to note: there really needs to be hand soap available at the two sinks.

Very affordable, clean and great guest. This is a great place for a family stay. It's a bit outdated but we actually did not mind that at all, as the place was very well kept . Great cozy place in a very friendly neighborhood. Very safe walking to bars and restaurants. Lots of room in the house and porch. A few complaints which were easily solved by the homeowner. Could use new locks as the door handle fell off and only had 1 key for the front door. Otherwise I would definitely return to this property for a stay!!!!)

We settled into this charming, vintage home to celebrate Christmas with Buffalo family. The Buffalo blizzard surprised us, but we were safe, warm and well-prepared by our host for such events in this well-built house. When our return flight was cancelled, delaying our departure by six days, our host worked with us and generously extended our unexpected stay. We did have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year after all! We highly recommend the property and our host!

The house was as advertised. Only issues were the bathroom had hand soap and various bottles of shampoo, but no bath soap. Good thing one of our party brought some. There was plenty of blankets, but some extra pillows would have been handy.l

There’s a ton of room, the house was very clean and furnished appropriately. Driveway is quite narrow - my RAV 4 just barely fit with the side view mirrors closed. But there’s plenty of street parking. A much better alternative to staying in a hotel. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!

If you like a century home with original hard wood floors and a great neighbourhood (Elmwood Village) to match, this property will provide that. There are some modern day conveniences that don't come along with that (e.g. electrical outlets) but that just adds to the charm.

Charming neighborhood close to everything. Street parking was available on the same block as the home. Responsive owner.

Great property for all of our family to stay together. It is an older home, but was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again. Also, in walking distance to restaurants.

I'm sure this property was beautiful in it's day, but now it is dark and dingy and looks as though it's been furnished from garage sales. The kitchen is not very well stocked. The driveway is horrendous! Although it was plenty room for the three of us, we didn't think it was very clean, especially the bathroom.

In Buffalo for a quick 3 days for a family location. Perfectly located in Elmwood Village near Delaware Park - easy access to expressways. Less than 15 minutes to Buffalo airport. Apartment slept 8 adults quite comfortably - although managing with 1 bathroom was challenging at crunch points. Unit - including kitchen - had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again on a future visit.

A charming home at a great value with all the amenities (minus a vegetable peeler :-)). Walking distance to the amazing Saturday Farmer’s market, Reddy Bike rentals right around the corner that’s a short but gorgeous ride to Delaware park. We stayed the weekend to get acquainted with our daughter’s new college town and we fell in love with Buffalo and Elmwood Village. Our host was very communicative and we would stay here again. Thanks Dan.

Everything was clean and comfortable. The apartment itself is incredibly charming. Communication with host was great.

Landlord had to be prompted (by phone call) multiple times on the day of arrival for check in details. The rental has no air conditioning, which is sweltering in the summer. Neighborhood is nice.
