Very impressed with the house and how close we were to everything

Very safe, cozy and great location for family to relax and enjoy the area.

We felt like we had stepped back in time and were staying at our grandmother’s house! If I could take that kitchen home with me, I would have! There is lots of space for everyone, the kitchen I well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the host are fantastic! If we are ever in the area, we will definitely be back! Only suggestion is take more towels if you plan on tubing or any other water activities. You will need them. But over all, we absolutely loved our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Steve is an excellent host and was extremely easy to communicate and was available to help if needed. He invited us to explore the property on our own also! The house is older but very clean! Wifi and cell reception are not great but that is certainly not Steve's fault. There is also a TV with a firestick to watch Prime and Netflix. We are looking forward to staying here again

Highly recommend this rental. Our family, ranging from 17 to 80, was comfortable at this cozy farmhouse. Sitting around the fireplace or playing games at the dining room table, we were able to enjoy our family vacation. Location was perfect and quiet while being just a short drive to stores and attractions. Our hosts were helpful and a pleasure to schedule with.

Even before we arrived our host was already making sure we felt welcome and comfortable for our stay. The home truly had the atmosphere of a family visit instead of a generic vacation rental, and again much of that was due to our fabulous host who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed so we could enjoy our weekend worry free. Everything in the home was clean and in good repair, and well outfitted. We would have had a great time on our own anyway, but our hosts’ attentiveness to detail really made our stay unforgettable. Will definitely stay again!

This owner is excellent at communicating- found us lots of side hikes and suggestions while we were up there. The home is not fancy, but has plenty of space and is a bargain for a moderately sized family group. If we need somewhere nearby in the future we definitely hope this is available.

We were looking for a weekend holiday getaway not far from Helen and Cleveland, GA just to be tucked with family in a house / cabin that brings everyone together more.
Swing and fire pit outside and place for our boys to play football.
Was very lovely.

This location was very close to my family. We are from out of state so we enjoy our relatives stopping by. This house was so convenient for shopping and siteseeing. It is very spacious. I loved the coffee bar. Coffee, creamer, and a single serve coffee maker was provided. A basket of goodies was a very nice touch. The kitchen had everything you needed, as well as condiments. The bedrooms were large. The beds were comfortable. The fireplace was so warm and cozy. It was beautiful. We have stayed several times in homes in the mountains of Helen. We enjoyed it very much, but by far this farmhouse is so much easier to access and travel. Parking is so much nicer. The house is interesting. It feels like you step back in time. I would definitely book this house again. Steve is very prompt to reply if you have any needs or questions.

We really enjoyed our time in Georgia. Steve is a wonderful host, excellent communication with suggestions of restaurants and thi gs to do. He even gave us a jeep tour of his 130 acre property.
House was exactly as described. Loved being out in the country and watching stars by the fire pit at night. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property!

This was one of those “memory maker” type of stays with great hosts, a really neat old farmhouse, and a stunning property in a beautiful setting! We were there on a short visit for a family wedding and were surprised by everything around us, from our stay to the accessibility to towns around us. We wish we could have spent more time exploring the property and utilizing all the scenery around us by picking apples, making s’mores in the fire pit, hiking or even fishing…but there’s always next time! Steve and Laurie went above and beyond with a property tour, checking on our needs before, after, and throughout our trip, and making us feel like family. Thanks for an incredible stay, we can’t wait to visit again!

The farmhouse is exactly that, an older homestead style farmhouse. Probably been in the family for years. There’s plenty of room here! We appreciated the small touches like coffee, and shampoo! Communication was excellent. There is no view. The yard could stand some clearing out/cleaning up….However, everything was very clean inside!

Country Living
Overall the visit was Excellent. The owner was very Attentive and made sure we had what we needed plus more. The little “extras”- fresh flowers on kitchen table, basket of candy and snacks, shampoo, toys were sweet.
Our group consisted of children 5-12 and the property was great for them to enjoy “outdoor” living. I personally wouldn’t take non-walking babies just because it is a older home (nothing wrong with it) just not 100% up to date on safety. I love the country feel but the wooden Heater in the middle of kitchen (which is a neat item and not seen anymore) is a tripping hazard even for adults. **Nothing that could be fixed just a little heads up because if a child crawling and hit it I’m sure it would be far worse than me stubbing my toe in the middle of the night. I love that the house still has the heater- just wanted to point that out.
The house is also easy to find and Is very convenient location if you’re wanting to explore Helen Georgia. Walmart I was just a little drive up the road.
The scenery was amazing enjoyed watching the wildlife- deer and rabbits.
Thanks for letting us stay.

A Nice Get Away
We have a very relaxing visit. Spending some time away in the mountains is exactly what we needed. Steve was a great host and provided us a lot of info on things to see and do in the area.

Lovely, cozy home
I went with my parents, 13 year old cousin, husband and 2 daughters. Steve and his wife had the home ready for us early and we’re very kind! They had some small toys for my kids to play with and the house was much larger than we expected. The pictures really don’t do it justice. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Old style
This property isn’t for someone looking for new or up to date on the other hand it is just what I was looking for during or short stay and will be staying here if we return to the area it reminds me of my grandparents place down in Florida

Perfect home away from home
Everything in the house was very clean and tidy and had pretty much everything we needed. Communication with Steve was exceptional! He is an excellent host and thought of everything to make our stay complete, including decorating the house for Christmas. My family and I enjoyed staying here and are looking forward to staying again.

Fabulous Farmhouse
First I have to start with the well water from the tap. I could not drink enough of it - it was SO good. I actually wanted to refill all my water bottles and take them home!
Historical culture, walking trails, beautiful antiques, we were all amazed at all the things we were able to discover.
Far enough out in the country to be able to relax and feel safe, but close enough to small stores (3miles) and large stores (5 miles), plus the famous Helen, Georgia (about 25 minutes away through a beautiful mountain road). We had enough room for 8 people to cook, relax, spend time together, and spend quiet moments if we needed a break from the revelry. This is not a rental - it is an experience.
A wonderful family owns the property and I felt like I was home.

Cozy, comfortable and clean!
Myself and 4 other ladies planned a last minute quaint girls trip to do some sight seeing and to visit wineries in the area. I'm so happy that I stumbled into this property! It was absolutely perfect. You couldn't ask for a more cozy, welcoming and CLEAN environment! And you couldn't ask for better hosts! I can't wait to book another trip and take my family, my husband whom loves the outdoors would be over the moon with this place!

This was my last choice of places to stay. The pictures were not a true representation of current condition of farmland and house. No view out any window. Could not see Mountain View picture from home. Bushes and shrubs overgrown. One was grown over into entryway. The overgrown trees and shrubs blocks any view of farmland. No picture of 2nd bath. We had problems with spiders. Killed several inside around fireplace. Kitchen cabinets cute but seemed old and dirty inside. This may have been caused by poor lighting in this area. We purchased disposable plates and cups to use at breakfast. We brought our our food for breakfast and ate out for lunch and dinner.Unfinished repairs in front bathroom shower Sheetrock. Safety issues: the exposed wires in front bedroom closet were dangerous and would really be a problem for families with children. No smoke alarm for front bedroom. Back bedroom smoke alarm yellow and old. Does it work? However location to wedding venue was great and surrounding towns. We wouldn’t stay here again

quaint and homey farmhouse
Easy to feel relaxed and away from it all at this farmhouse. It has all of the necessities to make breakfast, lunch and dinner for a large family, kick back and play cards on the closed in porch, or watch tv in the large family room. Nicely made beds and little touches of fall decorations give a homey feeling to this property.

Peaceful
It was out in the country, very quiet. We got texts daily of places to go and eat that was in the area. Also set the outside fire for us. You could tell he genualy cared and wanted us to have a good time. The house was older and was being worked on which we didn't mind. It was very charming and we will be back.

Perfect For My Family
I had to book something quick for my family and in-laws because we had an unexpected passing in our family so I wasn’t sure what I was going to land— this Farmhouse appeared that it would fit my family’s needs for the weekend well— it exceeded my expectations and was perfect for us. Took me back to being a child visiting my great grandmother’s so it was super comforting. The home had all the necessities and the host went beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time there despite the circumstances. The beds were very comfortable. Our 2yr old loved the walk through the woods, feeding the fish, and watching the nearby planes practicing their tricks (if you hear some planes in the distance, look up! It’s amazing). Oh, and the fire pit! We enjoyed s’mores over the fire our last night there. Highly recommend this place for large families.
