Morgins falls under the municipality of Troistorrents, in the district of Monthey, Valais. The village is located in the Portes du Soleil ski area, which with over 600 km of slopes is one of the largest ski areas in Europe. The area overlaps parts of Switzerland and France, with the following villages: Morgins (CH), Les Crosets (CH), Champoussin (CH), Champéry (CH), Avoriaz (F), Chatel (F), Morzine (F) and Les Gets (F).

Accessibility by plane: From Geneva airport there is a direct train connection to Aigle and then to Troistorrents.
