About this house rental
A little Loch Sport love story:
4 years ago we found a beautiful placed called Loch Sport, looking for a quiet place to take our dogs and relax. We tried a few different beachside destinations but nothing compared to Loch Sport. 12 months later we bought our beautiful beach house right on Lake Victoria and we have decided to share this idyllic place with others, in the hope that you have the same experience as us and truly fall in love with Loch Sport.
The location of our house is perfect, with our back gate leading onto a pathway directly to Lake Victoria. The wildlife is abundant - a variety of birds and kangaroos in the backyard, swans on the lake and fish & crabs can be spotted in the water. We are a short less than 10 minute drive to 90 Mile Beach that boasts endless pristine sand and waves.
We always take our dogs so please bring your furry friends with you!
The property is less than 5km's to the main street in Loch Sport where there is an IGA, cafe, children's park, BBQ area, skate park and fish & chip shop. There is also a Pub at the Marina that offers restaurant meals. Sale is a 35 minute drive if you feel you need something that can't be found in Loch Sport :)
We recently connected to broadband so you can access free WIFI to stay in touch, watch some movies or just leave it all behind. We have one main TV in the lounge room as well as a second TV and DVD player in the bedroom with a very large collection of DVD's. We also have lots of books as well as games & puzzles.
Life is so stressful and fast paced these days, Loch Sport is the perfect place to put that all behind you for a break.

- Open plan living upstairs that includes lounge area, small dining space and a fully appointed kitchen with cooking utensils, microwave, kettle, toaster and electric stove that leads out to a large veranda with a BBQ for cooking under the stars.
- Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided on arrival.
- The main area of the house, upstairs, has 3 bedrooms with a queen sized bed in each room, main bathroom with separate toilet . There is also a spare single mattress.
- There is an extra toilet and shower downstairs in the laundry.
- Split system heating/cooling available in the main living area, with portable electric heaters available in lounge room and bedrooms as well.
- Ceiling fans in every bedroom as well as the lounge room.
- Free WIFI
- All linen and towels are supplied just need to bring your own beach towels and hair drier. .
- Front load washing machine provided and clothes line on the property.
- Abundant collection of games, books, puzzles and a DVD collection.
Strictly NO smoking on the property.

Don’t look past this place, such a great location and there’s plenty of room even if it’s only the top story you can access bar the laundry. Will be going here again, highly recommend! The hosts were so easy going with everything

What a great place! Excellent location for kayaking, walking the dog and just generally relaxing! Quiet, well appointed, clean and everything we needed was provided! Carolyn and Peter were friendly and helpful hosts. We would love to return.

Once again, a most fabulous time was had by all-2ad, 15 & 10 year old and Drax and Luffy our Staffies. The house really does feel like our home, so well appointed and with all the comforts. We all enjoyed walkies at the lake and sunsets, 90 mile beach just down the road and the skate park was enjoyed by the kids on their scooters. We also had a blast having night time flashlight walks and enjoyed seeing all the kangaroos- and even a rabbit! Thanks again for a brilliant getaway- highly recommend this home and lovely couple, great landlords! 😊

We had the most fantastic trip here for Easter. Everything in the world that you need & a stones throw from the lake! The garden at the back is bushy (best easter egg hunt of my kids life) & we saw a kangeroo just hopping along the path! Super secure for our ratbag terrier.
House has super spacious bedrooms with themed duvets which my kids adored. Great wifi for us and dvds for when the kids were wrecked.
Shower fantastic for a water saving head.
Though we dont drink coffee we were impressed there was a proper coffee machine there!

Had a wonderful time.
Excellent place to go ,the short walk to the river was such an amazing view of sunset’s.
House was clean and excellent and everything you need was there.Our dogs also had lots of fun .Our hosts were fantastic .

We loved our stay here in Loch Sport over 5 nights. The location was ideal being in a court and with direct access to the lakeside track for a short walk to the lake or for a walk/run in either direction. Very pet friendly too being fully fenced and our kelpie loved the dog bed! It had everything we needed - plenty of towels, lovely linen, comfortable beds, coffee machine with coffee beans, ample insect repellent, some interesting teas, and was all so very clean. We'd definitely stay here again if visiting Loch Sport.

This is the third time staying at this beach house. Love the location, the comfy house, and the serenity of the quiet town. This is the perfect place to enjoy in winter sitting on the beach rugged up to watch the sunset over the water and then warming up inside. Everything you may need is supplied. Such a picturesque town to enjoy.

This excellent beach house was perfect for us and our Jack Russell. Spotlessly clean. Carolyn and Pete's thoughtfulness shone through. There was even a GF treat for me! Utter peace.

Lovely clean home spotless! The hosts are genuine dog friendly extremely secure back yard my wife,myself & our pup Manchester had a great stay we didn't have to worry about him in the back yard because it was so secure, Inside the home was everything you could ask for linen doonas towels supplied were luxurious, such a relaxing stress free stay the 3 of us can't wait for our next holiday here lots to do with the lake & beach so close to this lovely home highly recommended

Carolyn and Pete were great with the check in process and made it as easy as possible.
House was spotless! Extremely comfy beds in all the bedrooms, doonas were super warm!
All the little extras were a nice surprise, from bottled water, milk, biscuits and shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.
Endless DVD’s to watch and Netflix and Stan. Wifi was awesome which came in handy as our phone coverage was not fantastic.
Literally a stones throw to Lake Victoria so lots of walking when it wasn’t too windy (the day we arrived it was gale force winds).
Town itself was nice but not many shops so I was glad I took most of our groceries with us. If visiting in a holiday period, book ahead at the pub or you’ll miss out, as we learnt.
Lots of places to fish, not that we caught anything but it was just nice to sit and relax by the water.
Definately recommend this property, everything you need for a nice little getaway.

A lovely homely holiday house, central to everything, easy access to the beach via a gate that opens on to the walking trail. We took our 2 pups who loved exploring the fully fenced secure back yard and walks along the beach. The house is well catered for with everything you need for a great holiday.

Complete Serenity
Second time my teen and I have stayed at this beautiful home. Fully equiped with everything we need to be comfortable and warm. Pet friendly with a secure fence and lake close by means it perfect to bring the dogs. Definitely a gem.

Home Away From Home!
We had such a fun stay at Loch Sport! The home had everything we all needed, 2 adults, 11 yr old and 8 year old as well as our Lab and Staffy. Home was super cozy- loved the fireplace heaters and split system to main area- nice and warm on chilly nights! Deck to view the night time stars was amazing! Loved that we could walk out the backyard through to the lake- great for walkies! Locals in town were super friendly and accommodating. Our dealings with the home owners were a breeze- very friendly and accommodating couple. Thanks so much for our stay- we were sad to leave and hope to return again soon!

Ideal holiday spot for kids and pets
We all loved our stay at Carolyn and Peters place. The house had everything and more we and our dog needed. They have thought of everything one need for a holiday and stocked them up :) Internet is good, had NetFlix and Stan and if we didn't like any of them, there were tons of DVDs to chose from for both kids and grownups. The house is clean and the garden is well secured so didn't have to worry about the dog running out of the property. The location is excellent, only 3 min walk to a secluded beach (lake Victoria), dog friendly, and kid friendly. Loch Sport town/beach/marina is not far either, only 5 min drive. Also, 90 mile beach is less than 10 min drive! Be ready for mosquitoes! But hosts have also provided ample amount of repellents. Can give more than five stars for this place! Will be back for sure.

Perfect weekend getaway
The hosts were amazing through the chaos of COVID related rescheduling, kind, gracious&very welcoming. The property was exactly as described, located perfectly close to the beach/lakeside with cosy quiet beautifully scenic nooks to relax in. The dogs could not have been happier chasing seagulls&swans while they dipped in&out of the water & kicked up sand with joy. So happy we booked with them!

Loved our stay
This place felt like home with all the little extras, and the dogs were very happy too. We walked along the path for dinner which wasn't as far as we expected. The environment is special, especially heading out to the beach over the lakes. Loch Sport is a great place for families with the safe lake beaches. We were prepared for the sandflies and mozzies, but at this property they were not as bad as expected and there were plenty of repellents supplied. We will most definitely be back.

Sparkling clean and excellent location
We stayed at Carolyn and Pete's property for two nights. the house was sparkling clean with plenty of supplies. The coffee machine was a cherry on cake, the location is perfect. My children loved it so much that they wanted to extended our stay there. Thank you so much to both of you Carolyn and Pete. We will surely be booking your place next time :)

Perfect location for relaxation!
Perfect hidden gem in a great location to just unwind and relax. Very close to the lake which has walking tracks along the beach in both directions. The house was well stocked, especially with tea and coffee! Super clean with a cozy bed for our dog. Can’t wait to return again soon. Thank you for having us.

Weekend away
Really lovely property. We stayed with our daughter (10 months) and dog. There are three bedrooms upstairs so would also suit multiple couples going away together. Access to the lake by foot, really lovely. Short drive to 90mile beach which is beautiful. Property well presented and really clean, instructions amazingly clear. Would absolutely recommend.

This place was very clean and the best equipped I have ever stayed. My husband enjoyed the real coffee every morning.The manager replied to my questions immediately and sincerely. We are very happy with this place and want to go back again some time.
