About this cabin rental
This one-of-a-kind cabin sits exclusively on a private four-acre pond. Best place in the world to start your day sipping a great cup of coffee as the sun rises on the water. You can BBQ on the propane grill with your family, make s'mores around the camp fire (wood inluded), watch the kids jump on the trampoline, go fishing on the dock, take a boat for a little ride, swim, relax in the screened-in porch, and then enjoy the air conditioning or heating/fireplace when you're ready to go to bed. There won't be another soul in sight, and you will certainly enjoy the peace and tranquility of the wildlife abound!

So stinkin' cute! The bed was comfortable, the cabin was clean and they have everything you need! Kitchen has all the utensils amd even the bathroom has basic toiltries that were a huge help. We planned to float in the pond all weekend but there was a fair amount of algae so we grabbed some kiddie pools to sit in instead. It was a blast!

We had an amazing experience at the cabin! Everything was perfect, just as described, and blew away our expectations! Cannot recommend this place enough. My wife and I came here for a couple nights to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad we did. We would love to come back in future years! Thank you for letting us stay at your amazing place and for your wonderful hospitality!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was more remote than we first realized, but we enjoyed the seclusion and outdoor amenities. Everything was top notch. The drive through the pasture really does require a larger vehicle (no cars).

If you want to get away to a place that is secluded, quiet, and absolutely wonderful, this is the place for you! Only a half-mile of gravel and another eighth of pasture travel and you find this secluded gem. We did not leave the entire weekend. Saw a doe and fawn, cows and calves, a resident Great Blue Heron, various fish, water turtles, and bullfrogs. We thought we'd fish, but sitting on the decks (one covered, one facing the pond) was too mesmerizing and my husband only fished once; caught a bluegill, by the way. At night, a few lightning bugs greeted us, as well as a bat or two, and view of the milky way is fantastic.
The cabin is well equipped with everything we needed. Megan was a gracious and helpful host and easy to contact. Information provided on the cabin and property is accurate and thorough. We will definitely stay here again!

This cabin is wonderful and the description didn’t do it justice. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Bed was very comfy, a/c works great, so much outdoor fun and the host of this property was so nice.

We rented this house for a bachelorette weekend, party of 5! It was the perfect spot to lounge around in the sun. It’s a very private location which was perfect for what we were looking for. The hostess was super sweet and helpful contacting me within the week of checkin to go over important pointers for our stay. She also checked in making sure the arrival went smoothly. The only thing that I’m glad we caught before we got there was that there is only a mini fridge but they provide a big cooler outside for backup. Town is a short drive away to stock up on ice so it worked out great. I love this property and all of us girls can’t wait to share it with our families for future trips!

Excellent get-away!
This property is close to Fort Riley and a wonderful get-away for a couple or family. The cabin was very modern and well equipped. The owners thought of everything we could need. The bed was comfortable. Our kids loved the lake and used the kid kayaks a bunch. There were also a few floats, an adult Kayak, and a canoe. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone in the area.

This place is amazing!! Megan & Tim were some of the best hosts we have had, truly great people with attention to all the small details.
The cabin is just so perfectly peaceful we spent a lot of time relaxing on the screened in porch watching the Blue Heron glide across the pond. We also picked up several bird songs (Indigo Buntings, Eastern Phoebe, Black-Capped Chickadee, Common Yellowthroat, & Tufted Titmouse) as well as wild turkeys. Really enjoyed seeing all the native flowers surrounding the cabin and, in the pasture, just made it a perfect place to be.
We love to fish only caught a few Bluegill but it was so much fun to take the boat out with the trolling motor or kayak on the pond.
Everything in the cabin is well kept, immaculately clean and the craftsmanship so unique. Kitchen has anything you need for meal prep, and we were very appreciative of the complimentary coffee, spices and ‘smores supplies!
We were awestruck by this location, its beauty, and the peacefulness. An everlasting impression on our soul!

Beautiful Secluded Cabin
WOW!!!! ….This place is AWESOME!!! … that was my first thought when pulling up to the cabin! The setting is simply beautiful! We Loved the amazing craftsmanship of the cabin! I have not seen another place so well stocked. We had a wonderful time fishing and just relaxing and enjoying the view. Tim and Megan were very nice and very accommodating . I would give them 5 ***** as hosts! We hope to come back soon! Teresa

Perfect! I we have been looking for a place like this cabin for awhile and so glad we were able to book a weekend and can’t wait to stay again! We had a very relaxing stay. The place is very very private and quite. We stayed up late just amazed at all the stars and how peaceful. Just a awesome setting. We were a little let down about the fishing. No bass or channel cats. Lots of blue gills and sun fish. Was a awesome dock and the boat worked good.

My wife and I rented the cabin for the last weekend in July so we could get away and just enjoy the peace and privacy described on VRBO .We had temperature in the upper 90’s all week and the fishing was still phenomenal,2-4lb Bass were the standard.Swimming in the pond was refreshing while listening to the music on the outdoor speakers and enjoying many refreshments on the dock.Since it was so warm Tim and Megan also provided extra fuel for the generators to keep the ac running without issues.Modern enough that we didn’t miss anything from home,rustic enough that you could just sit back and appreciate the simple things in life. No freezers, so daily run to junction city for ice when it’s hot is to be expected, but if you read the description there are no surprises or disappointments .we will vacation here again

Wonderful Getaway
What a beautiful and secluded property! The cabin had everything we needed and more! The road to the cabin was well maintained and my husband enjoyed the opening and shutting of the pasture gates as it brought him back to his younger years! Our kids loved the trampoline, swings, and outdoor games as well as coloring and board games inside! We enjoyed spending time by the fire, sitting on the screened in porch, as well as some fishing at the pond. Thanks for a great stay!!

Could not have met two nicer people. They went out of there way to make are stay great. This place was beautiful quiet and very secluded. House was beautiful from the top to bottom loved fishing on the private pond. I will for sure be back

Very peaceful and quiet.
The cabin was just as described. It was very clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-furnished. The decor is perfectly suited for a cabin that is off the grid and was done well. The staircase is especially impressive. Tim and Megan greeted us shortly after we arrived, briefly showed us around, and answered our questions. We spent three days, mostly on the screened porch, enjoying the serenity. We hope to come back and enjoy it again.
