Alex is da man!

Alex is the man! When I read all the reviews that said how good Alex / the host was, I just chalked it up to normal host compliments that you read everywhere else. We were traveling by bikes and were only staying 15 miles when the forecast called for rain in the early afternoon. We pinged Alex to see if we could get there much earlier than we had originally said and if we could store our bikes there while waiting for the room to be ready. He obliged. It turned out that we arrived even earlier than that, so we got to the hotel around 11am or so. We waited maybe for like 30 minutes while Alex got the room all set up. That was great. I saw him running around a lot, so I knew he was busy. After the first night, I noticed that the shower drain was painstakingly slow, which meant you had to turn the shower on very low to prevent leaks. I originally didn't say anything since I've asked other hotels and hosts about such things, and they could never do anything about it. But I decided to ping Alex the following night to take a look at it when he got a chance. The next day when we returned from or daytime excursion, the room was made and the drain flowed without any issues. I was so happy. LOL Now, I could take showers full blast. I also now know why everyone sings Alex's praises. He deserves it!

I thought the towels could be thicker, but at least they weren't paper thin and filled with so much starch that they don't even bend like at some hotels.

Great location, but ok hotel.

The hotel (more like pension) is located on a second floor of a building with private apartments in it. The building itself is in rather depressing state. The elevator reminds me of old soviet elevators back in Russia. Another words, the owners of these apartments don't own the whole building, hence they can't really renovate it/change the elevator/replace the front door. But once you get through the glass doors of the hotel property, you enter an entirely different world: a modern/renovated interiors. There are only 6 rooms. 3 of them are overlooking a busy street, and 3 of them (numbers 4/5/6) overlooking the inner courtyard. Those rooms are very quiet. The room was very spacious, and a bathroom was huge. Everything was light and new and worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable, the towels clean and fluffy and there was daily housekeeping. Only 5 min walk to the airport express bus (which is super conventient, that bus runs every 15 min).

1. No 24 h reception. Or rather I did not like the check in. I received the email with the code on how to get through the glass door. But I was stuck at the brown front door - no code from it, or there was no button to call to the hotel. There was also no clear instruction on where to go after you make it through the front door - I accidently walked through the courtyard into the opposite building. I notified the hotel via Whatsup regarding my arrival time. 2. No fridge in the rooms. I think there should be one, no matter how small. The hotel has communal kitchen that is fully equipped. But... it's a communal kitchen. Made me feel like I am in a glorified youth hostel. Plus, if you live in rooms 1/2/3 you will hear everything that is going on in that kitchen (sound proofing is minimal from the room doors). So, if you wake up early, let's say you are jetlagged, and up at 6 am, and want some sandwich and coffee, you will wake up people in the above mentioned rooms.

Top, si vous chercher un hôtel, avec un prix sympa, un emplacement de dingue, prenez cet appart

Tous, c’est vraiment une endroit adorable

Dans notre chambre, en tant que français, nous avons 2 couettes, nous sommes pas habitué à ça mais pourquoi pas 🤷‍♂️

Un po' brutto l'ingresso, ma bella la struttura (peccato per le piante finte).

Apartamento aconchegante em Budapeste

Quarto bonito e confortável, funcionários quase todos simpáticos e boa localização.

Nas duas primeiras noites senti frio, pois o aquecedor não estava sendo suficiente. No último dia descobri que havia uma janela quebrada, que abria sozinha, provável motivo pelo qual passei frio nas primeiras noites. A funcionária responsável pela limpeza do quarto ficava me pressionando para eu sair do quarto e ela fazer a limpeza. No banheiro há um desnível que precisa ser sinalizado, quase levei um tombo e torci o pé nele. A hospedagem é boa, mas não se trata de um hotel e sim de um airbnb, o que não ficou claro para mim quando fiz a reserva.

Lovely spacious rooms in a perfect location

Perfect location and lovely spacious rooms. Modern and clean. Alex and the team are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Excellent communication prior to and on arrival offering guidance on how to locate them (very easy to find) and additional guides on what to do in Budapest when you get there. The gift of a bottle of hungarian wine was appreciated, very lovely it was too!! The suites are perfectly located to explore beautiful Budapest. Highly recommend.

Struttura centrale e pulita

Posizione centralissima, camera e ambienti puliti e ben arredati. Ottima accoglienza con in regalo di benvenuto + 2 cialde per il caffè e macchinetta nespresso. Non ha frigobar ma forniscono 2 bottigliette d’acqua e la possibilità di utilizzare la cucina sita nello spazio in condivisione. Se dovessi consigliarlo ad un amico, lo consiglierei vista soprattutto la posizione e la pulizia.

Aggiungo solo qualche piccolo dettaglio. Non utilizzano le lenzuola sui letti (c’è solo quello che copre il materasso) ne ho richiesto un secondo che mi è stato subito fornito (la ragazza mi ha spiegato che non utilizzano 2 lenzuola sui letti ed era la prima volta che veniva fatta questa richiesta - io invece non avevo mai visto un letto senza, ma in qualsiasi posto in cui ho alloggiato). Avevamo utilizzato i bicchieri forniti, ma il giorno dopo non sono stati sostituiti (c’è la pulizia giornaliera), consiglio poi di aggiungere le stecchette per girare lo zucchero nel caffè. Non c’è il bidet, ma sappiamo che è cosa comune fuori dall’Italia. Un po’ caro (più di 100€ a notte ca.) per un affittacamere senza colazione inclusa (ma probabilmente è il mercato di Budapest caro, in generale)

The location is very convenient, closed to the metro station, to the tourist attractions and to the bus stop for the airport bus. The staff was very friendly and took care of us very much. The hotel was very clean and modern !

Nice stay experience

Excellent location with a wide choice of public transportation nearby; comfortable beds, super clean toilets, friendly staff and a local specialty white wine for us, all in all a great experience!

There may be a bit of noise just off of Main Street, BUT, the three-night experience didn't feel like it interfered with sleep

100% recommend

Beautiful location at the very centre of the city, established in the second floor of a really beautiful historical building. The staff was friendly, I got adressed by Whatsapp by receptionists and the owners. Whatsapp is a necessity for communication with the hotel, but it made it super effective. The room was super clean, beautiful, yet a bit noisy, as the balcony was facing the main street (with all the traffic) but it was nothing which would ruin our trip or disrupt our sleep. 100% would recommend!

There was literally nothing to complain about. The whole accomodation was brilliant.

These suites are a great find. The location near to the Astoria Metro line was fantastic for getting around as well as having the Tram stop right in front. A short walk to some great tourist attractions too. The 2 young ladies we met during our stay were fantastic, polite and very professional. The rooms are very very modern with all amenities supplied and the shared kitchen is ultra-modern and very well equipped. The building itself is old and the lift is an experience in itself. If we return to Budapest we would certainly look at booking here again.

Very clean room and friendly staff. Kitchen also very clean. Central location. Contact online was fine also.

Very noisy street so you cannot really use the balcony staff is there at irregular hours. Coffee cups were not given after the first day. Need my coffee in the morning...

Perfect location and very clean rooms

The hotel is very clean and nice. Big shared kitchen is available for all guests. The manager is nice and helpful, we got a bottle of wine for free. :) Breakfast is served in Cafe Astoria and is very delicious.

I only have a small comment, the room looked bigger on the picture then it was in reality and twin beds are a little bit small. But everything else was perfect.

Beautiful oasis in a rough exterior

Once you enter the actual suite, it is very beautiful, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The building, however, is very misleading… The stairwell, courtyard, and elevator are extremely old, dirty, and creepy. You would never know this place exists inside such a rough exterior. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. They are usually at the property to help with anything you need and let you know how to message them if they are not there. They even give you a bottle of wine to start off your stay. The rooms are quite large, so it’s very comfortable with suitcases, etc. And there’s plenty of closet and drawer space. The balcony is nice too.

The twin beds are not a normal size…. They are extremely narrow. We are 2 small adult women, and we’re falling off the bed all night. lol As mentioned, the actual building feels quite creepy when you enter it, which is not the reflection of the property, but you will have to deal with it if you stay there.

Excellent location, close to everywhere in Budapest. Support from Alex and the rest of the staff all

There was not breakfast served at the location, however it got what you don’t find in regular hotels, a kitchen with all the necessary to cook your own food. Do not be discourage at the arrival, the entrance to the building and the lift are not the best, everything change when you get inside the facility, totally different, clean and the atmosphere like being at home.

Fabulous location. close to all transport links , restaurants and bars and 1 minutes from the amazing synagogue and othe

A very warm welcome including a bottle of wine on arrival, great location, immaculately maintained, all facilities in perfect working order, large communal kitchen and dining space, tea and coffee provided in the bedroom and the offer to borrow a kettle to use in the room. Room cleaned daily, hosts Alex & Anel were always extremely helpful including drying out clothes before we travelled.

We really liked the location and being in the centre does realistically mean that you will hear traffic. This did not affect us or our sleep, and complimentary ear plugs were provided. But if you are a very light sleeper, you will notice the emergency services and very loud sirens.
