This real Lincoln Log Cabin is more than a vacation, it is Rustic Luxury at its finest and an experience you will not soon forget! Every detail in this cabin has been thoughtfully and carefully planned by the owners. When you drive up the driveway your first view of this magnificent house will take your breath away. Just be prepared to be breathless from that moment on!
When you walk in the door your eyes are instantly drawn to the thirty feet high windows that offer a panoramic view of three states, including Georgia's highest peak in the distance - Brasstown Bald. To your right is the kitchen with top-of-the-line stainless appliances, including a Dacor double oven six burner gas range, a convection oven, microwave, and premium dishwasher. The kitchen includes a wet bar, wood, and granite countertops, and the kitchen table was used in two scenes of Part II of the Divergent movie series “Insurgent.” On the kitchen deck, there is a Webber gas grill.
To your left is the dining room. The base of the dining table was custom-made for Garth Brook’s drummer and a replacement tabletop was handmade by the owners from reclaimed wood to fit the circular room. The original tabletop was repurposed as the half-bath barn door. The half-bath vanity is a door with a mail-slot faucet and a crystal doorknob as your handle. The half bath and the main floor main vanity were handcrafted to be one-of-a-kind pieces. The centerpiece of the great room is a reclaimed Georgia gold mining cart, mounted on railroad tracks from Charlotte, and set on Georgia barn beams repurposed as cross-ties.
The main floor main bedroom has a king bed, a full daybed, and a pool table, all of which were custom-made by the owners from WWII-era Georgia barn beams and with local rainbow poplar slabs. The loft bathroom shower and the main floor bath feature the same barn beams. The great room stair treads were repurposed from half logs used as hallway posts from the original construction of Mull Valley. The queen bed on the second-floor bedroom was handcrafted from logs used in the original construction of the house with slabs from Pike County. The slab bar top in the Theater room also came from Pike County. The wooden eagle in the great room came from Mexico, while the antique canoe and other taxidermy were from sources throughout the Southeast.
The living room and the fireplace on the hot tub deck are wood-burning fireplaces. The downstairs main bedroom and the upstairs main bedroom both have gas-burning fireplaces. The kitchen, living room, and all four bedrooms have their own personal decks. The large deck off the main bedroom downstairs offers a sunken, seven-person hot tub with comfortable deck furniture, a TV, and a wood-burning fireplace. The fire-pit logs came from the original construction of Rustic Luxury.

This home was amazing. It was clean and comfortable. The washer and dryer tripped the breaker during our stay, we contacted the team at Vacasa and someone came out quickly to access the breaker box (it was hidden behind a painting and we couldn’t find it) and had us back on track. The driveway was very steep, and a little unnerving for someone from Florida where we barely have hills. But all 3 cars got up the incline with no issues aside from nerves. The home had absolutely everything we could have hoped for. My only wish is that we could stay more often.

This was an amazing stay. Great location and property. Will stay with them again

House is gorgeous and the views are breathtakingly beautiful. The driveway is very steep but super manageable. Our family of 7 had plenty of room and enjoyed our stay. I did have issues with the cleanliness of the home which I addressed with Vacasa so I hope they take care of it. I chose not to address the issues while we were there because I didn’t want to deal with having to have someone come in. I’m on vacation I don’t want to deal with it. We would definitely rent again. The home is close to blue ridge and a beautiful hour drive to Dahlonega.

We had a wonderful time as a family over Christmas at this gorgeous cabin! We even had 2 small dogs. The cabin is stunning and extremely well equipped. The views are absolutely stunning.

After making it up the driveway, you see an amazing home nestled on top of the mountains with views for days! The furnishings and custom building is outstanding and just a great place to spend a few days.

This home was the perfect getaway, big enough but not to big! Incredible memories made and if we’re so blessed we’d like to come back next year 🥰

The views. The setting. The home. It was everything.

The view made it worth it but there were so many disappointing aspects to the cabin. For as much as we paid, our expectations were high. We were surprisingly disappointed by the bedding, outdoor furniture, some of the interior furniture, cleanliness and the hot tub. This was the most I ever spent on a rental and sadly it was the most disappointing. Vacasa did return my call in a timely manner and sent someone out immediately to correct the problems we had.

There were 10 of us and the place was fabulous! Clean, beautiful with a gorgeous view. Plenty of room. No issues! Would highly recommend! Wish we had a few more days! Would love to have more information about who built the home and details such as that.

This place is an amazing mountain retreat with a beautiful interior and spectacular views. Unfortunately, the management company is not serving the owner well. When we arrived, we found 1) microwave not working 2) ice maker not working 3) solar lights on front porch step way too dim for safety 4) coffee maker not working 5) bedroom lamps not working 6) hand mixer not working 7) hot tub way too cold to use 8) bedroom ceiling fan not working. Over the following 20 hours, the local maintenance man did a good job of addressing all that he could. He brought in a temporary microwave as well as a simple little $12 coffee maker, both of which looked terribly out of place in such a fabulous cabin. Since we did not have a fully functional cabin for the first day, I asked Vacasa to add a day onto our stay at no charge, but they responded that was not their policy, perhaps one of the most frustrating responses a person can hear since it is entirely nameless and is simply a way to duck responsibility. I would be delighted to visit Rustic Luxury again, just not under Vacasa's management.

This was our second year renting this place with last year being our first. We gave Vacasa the benefit of the doubt and attempted to rent again. The list of problems with this place seems to never end. Last year it was no firewood, broken faucets, small dog poop on theater room carpet, and flood under kitchen sink to name a few.
This year things were much worse. Started with our day of arrival... the five outdoor garbage cans were overflowing with garbage. Once inside, we experience what can only be described as a infestation of lady bugs through the house, hundreds. Every bedroom was loaded. When the covers were pulled back, ladybugs!!!. My little 4 year old nephew was scared to go to bed because ladybugs were under his covers. The bugs were not dead, most of them were crawling and flying around the rooms.
Ice maker didn't work. cleaned it out removed all frozen cubes etc. put it back and it made ice, but wouldn't dispense the ice.
Master bathroom mirrors were disgusting... appeared as though whomever cleaned them last used cooking oil!?!? can't explain???
The little firewood we had this time was green and wouldn't burn. I emailed/texted Vacasa to inquire about this and was told that they were working on getting seasoned firewood up to us. Once the wood arrive they guy went into checking the existing wood with a meter and then proceeded to tell me that his wood was better and should be a problem. NOT TRUE. Now we had plenty of firewood that would not burn... green!
Main TV in living room must be going out as it has a purple tint and was very dim. We tried to brighten it up but still terrible for watching.
When we went to use the pool table (uncovered it) it was filled with glitter and debri. Pool stick tips broken.
There was a green eggs there last year but this year it was gone. Not as advertised.
The grill that was there is a serious fire hazard. We went to use it one night to cook steaks found it was not clean. Turned on burners (had to use a lighter stick we brought as the push start didn't work) to warm it up, went out 5 minutes later to check on it and it had caught on fire. It was smoking really bad and it was a black smoke. I turned it off, grabbed the fire extinguisher. It took another 20 minutes later before the fire went out even though the gas was shut off. I was seriously concerned it wasn't going to shut down.
The outside furniture simply put is falling to pieces. Missing rocking chair (had two last year) on kitchen balcony and the one that was there was dry rotted and broken. Dangerous.
There is a little table and two aluminum chairs outside the master bedroom that are falling apart as well. Very unstable and wobbly.
Master bathroom toilet seat was falling off. You would think whomever took the time to clean it and place the paper seal on it would have made an attempt to correct this.
Where the main table in the kitchen is a beautiful design, it is very unsanitary. There is food crumbs all in the cracks that appeared to have not been cleaned in years.
Livingroom couches are falling apart as well. When sitting down on couches you fall deep in them as if the springs and or supports are broke or wore slap out.
There are lights bulbs out just about in every room and outside. Most lamps are very wobbly and need some attention.
Outside couch seat cushions are flatten and need replacing. It was like sitting directly on the wood slats.
All of this being said, This year was a terrible disappointment! There is so much going bad with this place from the everyday cleaning team, to normal maintenance, to the owners just not maintaining the furniture, pest control, etc. This place is certainly going down fast and it doesn't seem as anyone gives a damn and its sad. We want be staying here ...

We had a great time with all our family being able to be together under one roof for Christmas. House is spacious with large gathering areas for us all to be together for meals and games. We would recommend

We loved our stay with all the grand features this cabin offers. We’ve stayed in many cabins over the past 20 years and this one measures up quite well. Plenty of beds, private areas, theater room overlooking the living room area below is very nice.
Attention to comfort details has this cabin standing out with the two huge kitchen and dining room tables that can easily seat over 9 people per table.
Driveway is a bit steep and unless your a trained athlete, you won’t be walking those meals off with a quick walk. Plenty of TVs through out the cabin with one in almost every bedroom except one.
We would consider staying here again.

We had a family gathering, 8 adults. This house and scenic location makes words difficult to put together! House was extremely well maintained and prepared for our trip. The description of the amenities was spot on. Kitchen, so many options. Bedrooms, very spacious and well thought out. Look forward to NEXT YEAR!

Wonderful trip. Beautiful views… great hiking, plus just staying at home- hot tub, playing pool and movies in media room..
Just not long enough.

Amazing Views, lacking in other areas for the price tag
Views are without comparison, and that really makes this property. However, the equipment in the house was lacking; the fancy looking oven did not warm past about 200-300 degrees, and the photos show a Green Egg which we were excited to use but no Green Egg was located. Tons of ladybugs throughout the house, so a little bit on an insect problem there (although they are good luck!). Also we thought the water pressure upstairs was really lacking as if something is not working properly. Overall, solid cabin but fore the price a few upgrades are recommended.

Very spacious! Beautiful. The view is spectacular. However, the large deck needs seating! There was only one small couch and due to the rain, we couldn’t use that one piece of furniture to sit on. Stood to enjoy the view the entire trip. Did use the rocking chairs but they are located on an upper level. The sitting area where the hot tub is located is unusable. Spider webs absolutely everywhere. It needs a deep cleaning in that area! Overall, the home is unique and beautiful!!

We stayed at this wonderful house for Labor Day weekend and we truly enjoyed our stay. There were so many unique details about this home from the tables and lamps to the bathrooms and doors. For future guests, make sure you follow the directions to the home given by Vacasa, do not use the Waze app! We all had an adventure finding this place! But the house was definitely well worth it! My only complaint is the upstairs master bedroom possibly has a wasp nest and they scared some of my guests away because they could not sleep in that room. Despite this one slight drawback, we would surely book here again! We’re already planning another trip here next year!

We had such an amazing time at this property. So much thought had gone into every room of the house. There were so many spaces to relax that our big group did not feel all that big. It absorbed so many of us. The property was extremely clean. We enjoyed the hot tub that overlooked the mountains. The hot tub was also right by an outdoor TV and fireplace. The pool table was also a hit, as well as the infinity tub in the room upstairs. So much luxury in every room. I cannot say enough good things about this property. We will definitely be coming back!

The accommodations exceeded my expectations! We loved this house! It had everything we needed and had plenty of room to spread out and feel like we could still socially distance. The round table in the dining room was perfect for big dinners, we spent more time there than anywhere. Kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms were comfortable. Other reviews mention the steep driveway and it is no joke, but definitely manageable. The management company (vacasa) will not respond to messages but will take a phone call. They made me a little nervous at some points due to lack of communication but in the end it was a positive experience! We made some wonder memories here.

This home is absolutely stunning, immaculately clean and cozy. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again. The driveway is steep, but well worth it. As you are driving up to the house, it stands majestically like a castle on a hill. Every detail is well thought out. The beds are all very comfortable and the theatre area is fantastic. The kitchen is stocked with all you need to cook a wonderful meal to enjoy at the beautiful tables. Do yourself a favor, and book it! We will be back!
