Enjoy endless expanses of our latte-colored beaches, azure skies, shimmering sea and offshore islands. Upon entering Villa Playa, you find two large beachfront bedrooms on the first floor, one with a queen-size bed and the other with a king-size bed. The first floor has a large bathroom with a beautifully tiled, walk-in shower and double sinks.
We offer a large laundry room on the first floor with an extra refrigerator for those items that you wish to keep downstairs. Laundry supplies, linens, bath towels and beach towels are available. There is a porta-crib and a stroller available.
Also on the first floor is a large closet with a basket of beach sandals and wet suits in varying sizes. The garage houses a large new ping pong table, with the nets, balls, paddles, beach chairs, and several colorful kites for beach flying in the ocean breezes. There are four bicycles and helmets for use on the level streets around Ocean Drive. Volleyballs and basketballs are available in the garage.
We have a brand new gas barbeque on the first-floor patio, simple and safe to use.
On the second floor you are greeted with a fabulous view of a huge, largely unoccupied sandy beach, the blue sky, the ocean and on a clear day, the Channel Islands. There is a large living room with a high beamed wood ceiling with new sofas with plenty of seating room and picture windows overlooking the beach. A volleyball net three doors north awaits you. To the south, you see the Ventura County Lifeguard station which is manned by lifeguard personnel from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
There is a new large dining room table and twelve chairs to seat your entire party in one sitting. We have a balcony adjacent to the dining area with more spectacular views. There are two sets of binoculars to help you see the dolphins swimming in the ocean right in front of the house. Starting in January the whales make their annual trip south to Mexico for the births of their calves.
Adjacent to the dining area is a beautiful blue and white tiled kitchen with stainless appliances. This is a chef's delight with plenty of space for preparing meals. We have coffee pots, two toasters, two blenders, a Keurig coffee maker and all the tools ready and waiting for that gourmet meal or barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers. The kitchen also has a large supply of condiments and seasonings.
Also on the second floor is a large powder room and a huge family room equipped with several new sleeper sofas - great for the kids. There is a wet bar and, in the works, a new soda fountain. The family room offers many books, puzzles, games and toys. Many rooms have large flat-screen TVs-five in all.
On the third floor you will find a gorgeous master suite with a brand new king-size bed, a large balcony with two chaise lounges where you can have morning coffee or a Sundowner's cocktail with magnificent views of the Pacific. The master bath has a large walk-in shower, a separate jacuzzi tub and double sinks, all tiled.
We are pet-friendly, up to 30 pounds, with a pet fee as described by the rental agency. NO SMOKERS ARE ACCEPTED.
There is Wi-Fi throughout so bring your laptops iPads, cell phones, etc. and sign on! There is also a hard-line phone available for your use.

This a lovely spot to visit! The beach vibe neighborhood, the views, and the space in the home all are fantastic. We did encounter problems with the internet going out and no hot water in the upstairs shower and sink. The internet problem was resolved but not the hot water upstairs. We all had to share a shower in the lower level, which was not wonderful. While the rental company said that it was fixed we did not get the water hot. They continued to tell me after check out that the plumber had said it worked and asked if maybe we were turning on the cold water? That was quite silly but we had checked out at that point so there is no way to know if the hot water was indeed working again or not.

I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. The house is so lovely full ocean views in all bedrooms and the living area. The kitchen was fantastic and fully equipped, and it was great to have the options of bikes and beach apparel in the garage.
We can’t wait to come back!

The property was everything that was advertised, right on the beach, lots of room, clean, and everything needed was supplied. Neighborhood was great, good restaurants nearby. Parking for three vehicles was a great bonus. We had one small issue and made contact with the property managers, they were helpful and sent someone out to fix it very quickly (we resolved the issue ourselves and cancelled the fixers, but the timely response and cheerful attitude was appreciated)

It was a great beach house, well used , clean, comfortable. the little kids loved the 3 levels and stairs. the family roomoff the kitchen and living room was great. the giant picture window looking out to the beach and ocean was best place to sit. kids loved the big swivel chair. the beach was beautiful and clean and pretty much empty this time of year. a little cold for swimming and bit of steep incline to water, but kids just loved playing in edge of waves and sand. seals, dolphins, squadrons of pelicans. we all had a great time. two minor issues: parking, if you have more than 3 little cars. only one hair dryer and it was on its last legs.

House was great! You walk right out onto the beach, which is beautiful and not crowded at all. We spent most of our time on the beach playing volleyball or pickle ball or just sunning ourselves. House was spacious and very clean. Had everything we needed. nice balcony outside the master bedroom and a balcony outside the downstairs bedroom as well. Great café for breakfast/brunch literally right around the corner. Communication with management was very good. Would Definitely stay again.

Great location on the beach. House comes with bikes, boogie boards, wet suits, lots of beach chairs, ping pong table, and more for beach fun. Kitchen is reasonably well equipped with pots, dishes, cutlery, etc… Only very real complaint is most of the electrical outlets need replacing. Fans, hair dryers, phone chargers don’t work unless you jiggle them around until they connect. Would definitely stay again, but would hope they would be repaired.

The house is roomy, clean, nearer to the water than other places we've rented, and well-equipped. The furniture was fine, the view spectacular from the huge window facing the beach, the laundry room was large (the second fridge there was a bonus), the kitchen well-equipped and complete, and there were TV's in every bedroom. There were balconies one the two upper levels and the back deck with sofa and chairs was used extensively. The outdoor shower was appreciated. The garage was filled with a ping pong table, bikes and helmets, boogie boards, wet suits, beach umbrellas (and an easy-up!), several types of balls, and carts to carry it all to the water. If I had to suggest improvement, I would note that the upstairs shower floor was very slippery and some of the tiles in this same bathroom seemed about to fall. An electrical plug in the kitchen was pulled away from the wall, as was the "key" to the gas fireplace. I would not hesitate to rent this place again.

My family of 5 rented for the 4th of July holiday and it was absolutely perfect. This home is stocked with everything you need for a vacation getaway - beach towels, chairs, boogie boards. The kitchen is stocked with cookware. Plenty of extra bedding, sheets, and towels. The view is incredible and the neighbors are so kind and welcoming. It was a wonderful getaway for us and we look forward to staying there again!

This was one of the best vacations we have ever had and a huge part of that was the beautiful property! The home had amazing picture windows in every room that looked out onto the ocean. The views were remarkable!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house on the beach. The main living area, with panoramic views of the ocean and Channel Islands is jaw dropping. The master retreat on the top floor was also a very nice escape at the end of each day. Terrific location, very walkable to the harbor and of course super nice to walk out onto the beach from the back door.

We had such an amazing time at the Hollywood beach house! The view was spectacular and the house was well stocked and comfortable. We took multiple walks a day on the beach and our dog couldn't wait to play on the shore every day. We were lucky, and had the most beautiful clear views of the the Channel Islands almost the entire time. We will definitely return when we come to visit family in Ventura.

We had a wonderful time in Oxnard - you can’t get any closer to the beach and the views are incredible!The house needs some TLC - several issues required service teams to come during our stay. Also, the wifi isn’t strong enough for work. It took many phone calls and a long time (more than 6 weeks) to get the security deposit back.

Our family was looking to stay in LA; however, all hotels considered our family to be all adults and required 2 rooms. Finding this spot on the beach with a whole home for the 6 of us was perfect and close to the same price as 2 rooms in LA. The pictures lured us in but once you arrive and hear & smell the ocean, you are taken to another level of tranquility.
Highly recommended to everyone we tell, and we will definitely make efforts to come back again!

Clean and modern beachfront home, with well-appointed kitchen and all the beach toys you need (boogie boards, surfboard, wetsuits, bikes, chairs, towels, etc). Ocean views from the living and dining rooms are spectacular. Beachfront deck with couches, dining table and BBQ was a real plus. Friendly and responsive property management team. Fun activities nearby include day trips to kayak and snorkel Anacapa / Santa Cruz islands, or rent SUP / kayak / boat and paddle around the Oxnard harbor.

Perfect Family Vacation
This was the perfect house for our annual family vacation with extended family. House was large enough to accommodate 8 people of ages ranging from 9-72. And the location couldn’t have been better! Right on the beach, quiet and relaxing. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Beautiful Sunsets
This property is perfectly situated for beautiful sunsets over the ocean. The kitchen and living room windows give an expansive view to the Channel Islands and up the coast. The house is a short walk to the marina with restaurants, a Farmer's Market on Sunday's and a Maritime Museum. It all makes for a great get away.

Nice, comfortable home. It has a bit of wear and tear, but overall in good shape. The dishwasher was not working and it took 4 days to get someone out to fix it. So we were washing everything by hand for most of our stay. Nevertheless we had a really nice relaxing stay.

Perfect location, incredibly thoughtful amenities, breathtaking views, sweet little neighborhood. This was a perfect get-a-way for myself and my two teens. We will 100% be back here again! This was our first Vrbo experience and our first time away from home since the pandemic began, and both were wonderful. The management company was super responsive, and the owners, while I didn't communicate with them directly, seemed SO lovely. It was perfect. :)

This is a beautiful house, with great living space with a fantastic view out to the beach and a separate game/family room for evening entertainment. The management company was difficult to deal with from the moment we made our reservation including our two dogs. After charging our credit card for a pet fee and sending us a rental agreement asking us to send a photo of our pets which we did, we received an email telling us that there had been a mistake and this property did not in fact accept pets. I replied and told them we had found other alternatives, and they could cancel our reservation if that was true. It took more than a day for them to reply that actually, our dogs were allowed and we could keep our reservation. The day we checked in, we asked for an early check in, or the ability to at least leave our luggage in the garage while the cleaners finished. We were told that was not possible, so we made other plans for the day. We arrived at the house after 7 p.m. to find the front door not only unlocked, but ajar, with the key in the lock. Inside, a smoke alarm was chirping. We replaced the batteries, were not reimbursed because my son lost the receipt, but we were charged an additional $250 pet fee because the owner saw on camera that we had two, not one, dogs, which the rental agency knew since my original request and my email including a photo of both dogs.
