Lieux calme et reposant. Ce n'était pas notre premier séjour au Manganao. Installation parfait avec Denis. Les commentaires précédent reflète la réalité sur le logement.
Pour nous tout était parfait. Rien à redire

This apartment kitchen is fairly well equipped with toaster oven, pod coffee machine and a couple of cooking rings and the apartment itself is reasonably spacious with good air-conditioning. It was nice to sit on the little balcony - no view to speak of, but it was nice to have outside space. We liked the shower with the rain head option. It’s not too far from the main buildings where the beach, beach bar and hotel pool is - perhaps a 5/7 minute walk through the complex. The beach area is cute with a reefed area to keep the water calm.
A short walk up the road takes you to a number of decent restaurants, so you don’t need to get in your car every time you want to go out!
Saint-Francois is not too far away, a healthy walk or a few minutes drive in the car. We liked the town and the beaches!
The first inconvenience was when we arrived we were told that there was a problem with the water supply for the whole complex and the water was to be switched off every other day between 6pm and 6am. So on the days when the water was to be switched off, we had to organise ourselves carefully to make sure we returned to the apartment in time to take a shower after days at the beaches. This, obviously isn’t in any way the fault of the accommodation owner, but it would have been good to have this info beforehand.
Then, we were told that to use the hotel pool, it was €20 a day, or €100 for the week (not sure if that was each or together.) This was not in the apartment description. Again, it would be information that we would have appreciated beforehand.
Many, if not all the apartments on the complex are privately owned and rented out, so I presume that as they are not part of the actual hotel, no arrangement has been made to accommodate the guests staying in these apartments.
The mattress in the room was uncomfortable for us and we couldn’t understand why we were waking in the night completely overheating until we saw the plastic mattress protection!
The little kitchenette is behind a door that when opened activated a light over the area. Unfortunately, it was on a very short timer and sensor. So we had to do a little dance to reactivate it roughly every 30 seconds. It became really annoying!
And finally a warning, as I didn’t see any signs anywhere. The little cove for the private beach next to the hotel is fine when the weather is calm, but if the tide is up and you can see the waves coming over the reef, avoid the lefthand side of the cove in the water, there is a strong current there because of a break in the reef and even if you are a strong swimmer, you could well get into difficulties and it has no guard on duty. Most of the cove is shallow, but the currents have made that spot much deeper than the rest.
