Owners were great communicators and very helpful. Extremely clean cabin, not even a speck of dust anywhere! Lots of stocked items for the kitchen, extra blankets that made the stay more comfortable. Super fun area with so many things to do. Owners gave us a great list of recommendations that was crucial to planning our trip. Cabin is super close to crystal mountain and we enjoyed doing the alpine slide and legacy art walk there. We travelled all over the area to see the beaches and pointe betsy was a highlight!! Couldn’t have been happier with our trip. Cabin is about 30 min away from sleeping bear dunes, 5 min from crystal mountain.

This is our second time staying in this beautiful chalet-type home and we are sure to be back!! Everything is neat and tidy and the owners utilized every available inch to offer guests all the amenities you could want...and throw in bikes as well which is a great way to see the immediate area!! The new patio and kitchen were great additions since our last stay!! Highly recommend this property!!

Our family loved our stay! Everything was clean. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. We loved all the little detail as the owners provided all your essential items plus some gift bags for the kids. We would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cute cozy cabin. It was in a quiet neighborhood, not too far away from a couple bigger cities. We appreciated the games, movies, wifi and streaming access.

This cozy cabin is the perfect location for many day trips (Frankfort, Arcadia Dunes, Traverse City), or is 2 minutes away from Crystal Mountain if you prefer to stay close to "home". The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 4 and even could have accommodated a couple more. The property was easy to get to a d felt like it was in a safe area. Jen and Ken were so responsive and more than willing to provide a ton of recommendations! We will be going again, as there was just too much to fit in during one weekend!

Perfect little cozy home away from hustle and bustle of TC. Lots of good hiking in the area. Easy access to TC if we want night life or touristy choices. Nice and relaxing.

Cute little cabin. Friendly neighborhood. Cozy for 4 adults. The free range chickens were a nice addition! It was a great location. Walking distance to a great local resturant, and to hiking trails and to the off road park. Definitely would rent again!

This is a pretty small/cozy cabin, but as described in the listing and was perfect for our family of 5 (3 younger kids). We enjoyed skiing at Crystal Mountain, tubing in TC, and hit local restaurants with an amazingly unique dining experience (tents at IronFish & igloos at St Ambrose). We also had an amazing winter hike near Crystal Lake, and ate at the brewery there. We love Northern MI! Ken was great on communication, and even came and shoveled our driveway and porch when we got 18" of snow!

We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary. Such a charming little cabin. Everything you need whether you stay in or are out enjoying the fresh up north air and scenery. This is the best area, and the place to be! Ken and Jen are awesome also!!

This was a perfect place for my brother and I. Comfortable, clean, close to family staying in Beulah. Jen sent a list of fun places to see, and good restaurants. We enjoyed Rosie's for breakfast & Geno's for dinner. Bikes were provided too. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Jen & Ken!

My son and I used this place as a base to explore the area while waiting to move him into the dorms at FSU. It had everything we needed and was very quiet and pleasant. Owners were very helpful and friendly with easy communication. If I get to be in the area again over the next 4 years I would definitely stay again!

This cottage/cabin was perfect for our family of 4. Our kids loved the bunk beds! It is in a remote area but plenty of activities within a short drive. We were able to have a family friendly vacation with the added comfort of feeling like we were at home. Owners were very easy to contact too. Very happy.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the cozy cabin. The owners, Jen and Ken, were excellent. They are very friendly and great communicators, and bailed us out with a mechanic reference when we had an unexpected car problems during our visit. The cabin itself is as advertised. Rustic, but modern on the inside, and very clean. It had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing honeymoon week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again in the future. And did I mention the owners are great? Thank you!

Ken and Jen were wonderful. They responded promptly to every message I sent. My cabin was ready for me to check in 3 hours early. It had all the convenience of home!!

The owners put great effort in making our stay comfortable.The cabin was clean and neat as well as having a welcoming decor. New bathroom was extra nice. They were quick with communicating with us when we had questions prior to our visit. The cabin is in a quiet location, at the edge of town. A short 1/2 mile walk ( for us, bike ride) brought us to a cheerful local restaurant ( with outside dining) and the trailhead of the Betsie Valley bike trail! We enjoyed our stay. My family of five loved our stay in the Cozy Cabin! Ken and Jen were so easy to work with and were very responsive to our questions. The cabin was clean, cute, and had everything we needed. The kids loved the loft, and the bathroom was very nicely updated. The area is beautiful with lots to do (I especially recommend the Baldy Trails at Arcadia Dunes). We would definitely stay again!

Easy to get to, close to TC. Plenty to do in the area, new gas grill, nice private deck. Not a large place but they had comfortable furniture inside, nice sheets, clean little cottage. I would rent again.

From the moment we reserved the property the owners got into contact with us. Asking about our reasons for the stay and who we are bringing with us. They were very attentive to us and every interaction was amazing. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and was just the right amount of space for me and my husband to enjoy our weekend away. Bikes, a grill even movies are offered to you as like your home away from home. We will definitely think about visiting again soon.

The ban in zone 8 had lifted, we had made a decision to find a cozy cabin in Northern Michigan to escape some of tour self isolated lives at home. I had made two previous reservations that cancelled due to COVID. I was just about to give in when I got a very quick response about the open cabin Jen and Ken had available. At first I was worried that it wouldn't host all the amenities our previous reservations had. I mentioned to the property owners that I had to find a bike rentals near the town and they eagerly offered up two bikes for us to use. That pretty much closed the deal. When we arrived it was everything the pictures had led us to believe it would be. A main room with kitchen, dinning and living space, above a small loft with two twin bed. The two bedrooms were cozy as well. One fitted with bunk beds, the other a queen bed. The bathroom and shower were recently updated. We spent the majority of the time at the cabin on the back patio under the stars sipping Michigan ciders. The neighborhood was what one might expect in rural community, colorful. I often walked to the general store in downtown Thompsonville which was .04 miles from the cabin for supplies. On a Friday night you can meet a whole host of characters outside the store, sharing stories of their day. We used the bikes to ride to Crystal Mountain Resort which was only 2 miles down the road. At Crystal Mountain there are many amenities that you would want from spa services to a high end city style grocery market. We spent the day doing the MI Legacy Art walk, which was a highlight of our trip. Due to the close proximity to Traverse City we were able to have dinner in downtown TC, hike sleeping Bear Dunes and spend time on the Beach In Frankfort which was only a twenty minute drive on open country roads. This cabin, this trip and the time we spent there was an absolute joy. I would recommend this cabin to anyone trying to escape the city for a few days and looking to explore the area.
