Three cousins stayed in the house. We each had our own bedroom. The house was clean, nicely decorated, comfy and it felt very safe. Nice view of Lake Erie from the living room, dining area and front bedroom upstairs. We prepared dinner for our other, local cousins on our last night there. The kitchen was well supplied - we found every thing we needed.

We were staying on Rye Beach & rented this house to accommodate additional family members. Gretchen had very detailed, helpful instructions and was extremely responsive. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed! The location was amazing looking over the park & Lake Erie. We will definately rent this house again!

The house was as advertised. The location was wonderful...between Marblehead/Port Clinton and Cleveland. And the park next to the house was very nice. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the lake. And great communication from the host.

We booked this house for a 3 day weekend in Feb to stay during my daughter’s volleyball tournament at the nearby sports complex. Great price, super clean and comfy accommodations! The owner has decorated the home very cute with a beach/lake vibe. Each room is spacious and loft area futon was a nice bonus. The kitchen has plenty of pots/pans/utensils/coffee makers. The owner is very generous with supplies too like trash bags, paper towels/shampoo/soap/ toilet paper. We loved the neighborhood and park across the street. Of course being wintertime we didn’t get a chance to use the lakefront but hope to return in summer for a warmer weather stay!
All in all, a great location if you need accommodation near the cedar point sports complex!! Highly recommend.

This is the second year we have rented this home for our weekend trip to Cedar Point for the Halloweekends event and we will look to rent again next year!
The drive to the park is an easy 15-minute drive and the location is a few blocks from Cleveland Road that heads straight to the park. The views from the home look out to Lake Erie and the community park (with basketball hoop, playground, and open spaces) is perfect for kids and families. The folks in the community are incredibly friendly and we felt very safe in the neighborhood.
The home itself feels like home. Great dining table adjacent to the living/tv room. Three bedrooms with lots of space and a loft with another bed as well. Two bathrooms with full tub/showers. Very comfortable and incredibly clean.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, a coffee maker (traditional and Keurig), a toaster, pots and pans, and all the utensils. The dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge all work great. Nice large fridge to hold lots of food.
Check-out was easy and the trash and recycling bins are right at the house which is always a plus.
Communication with the host is timely and super friendly. We are looking forward to next year already!

This house has so much room! The park is basically in its backyard and the water is just past the park. Gorgeous view and a really cute little neighborhood.
Hosts were very attentive and the house is well appointed. The kitchen is all set up for you with pots and pans and dishes and even a crockpot and popcorn maker.
Two of the bedrooms are up a set of steep stairs - careful if you have mobility issues.
We were there during a stormy weekend so we didn’t swim, but hopefully we’ll be back!

I stayed at this property about three years ago during the depths of the pandemic. Once again Gretchen and Jacob made the experience top notch. Everything was clean and well cared for. The owners were quick to respond and always so kind as before. This property was well stocked as well. It sits in front of a park in Lake Erie. We looked forward to staying here this year and we’re not disappointed. Thank you so so much.

This property is truly fabulous. By far it was one of the cleanest and most comfortable homes I have rented. You can really tell the owners love and care for this home. It had everything we could possibly need and was a huge bonus to bring our dog too. We spent most of our time on the front porch, at the park, or over at the beach. Beautiful views and the perfect setup for our two young kids (6 and 4). This will definitely be our #1 choice of stay when we return to Ohio.

We were visiting the area for a baseball tournament. The location of this house to Sports Force ball park was perfect. We loved being so close to the water, pier and basketball court. The drive to the ball park and Cedar Point was short and easy. Great house, great location - would definitely stay again!

What could be better than spending July 4th with family on the shores of Lake Erie watching fireworks in the skies over Cedar Point? Being able to walk only 80 yards back to your lake view VRBO and settle in to the clean, comfortable, and cool space! The listing is aptly described-but the actual home and area is better than we imagined. The place does face the lake and a beautiful park with a beach, benches, and fishing pier. The home was immaculate, well-stocked, and close to everything and anything we needed. But the close knit, small town feel of the area was truly special. We met both locals and visitors, and everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and kind. We felt like we were part of a true, old-fashioned American Independence Day!

The house was well organized, cleaned and equipped with the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay. The living area was cozy and open to the dining and kitchen sections. The view of Rye Beach Park was accessible from all three first floor rooms.
Two items of concern:
1) Upon entering the house, we had no welcome letter or general property instructions displayed. We learned at a later time the cleaning crew may have inadvertently removed the documents.
2) During our stay, the coded door lock malfunctioned. We were locked out. Due to the above item #1, we had no cell phone # or contact method available to reach the owner. Fortunately, we checked with a neighboring home. The residents were helpful by providing a contact # of the spouse of the property owner. He responded in kind. He suggested the door lock batteries required replacement. Somehow, the disabled lock allowed our entry. However, we had to uncomfortably leave both front and back doors unlocked when away from the property….we could not trust the disabled lock from automatically locking us out again.
3) The owner was vacationing in Florida at the time. Therefore suggested that we remove the lock casing with a screwdriver and replace the batteries. We found this suggestion unacceptable, therefore decided to just leave the door unlocked through the remainder of our stay.

Drove in from Chicago to spend a day at Cedar Point & a day in Cleveland. House was clean, furnished nicely with a cute lake house vibe and a great location. Everything we could have possibly needed was supplied. The house accommodated 2 adults and 6 kids (ages 10-16) very comfortably. In the little downtime we had, the kids enjoyed walking down to the lake and playing at the playground across the street. We loved hanging out on the front patio and meeting people as they walked by in this cute little area. Quick 15 minute drive to Cedar Point. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you so much to home owners they sent me a list of all what to do in Huron and sandusky, we also found many more things to do. The house is very close to everything. And cedar point. Being so close to lake was great and having a park across the street was awesome also and cute little private beach. I hope to return all the people around the house was so very nice. And so peaceful.
Beds where comfy and everything was clean and so many supplies there i wish i didnt buy so much. But it was great to have things at hand that we did forget. Now steps going to second floor is steep to walk up and down great for young people was a little hard for my husband. So my sister inlaw is over 60 and walks with walker so first floor bedroom worked great for her, and having the 2 bathrooms was great. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your great and beautiful home.

What a great rental. The property was exactly as described. It is clean and well-maintained. Our host made everything simple and straightforward. As she predicted, our granddaughters had a debate about who would get to sleep on the balcony overlooking the dining/living area. The location was perfect for us, with easy access to all the stores and restaurants we needed. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare a meal. The lake access was perfect for enjoying the scenery and looking for treasure that washed up. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. Thanks to our host for helping make a great vacation for us.

Property and location were just great. We had a minor problem that the owners responded to immediately, very reassuring and they are very nice people. We will most likely return.

Nice spacious house close to lake and park, safe neighborhood, responsive owners, 3 beds and air mattress, nicely furnished, huge table, patio in front, difficult for handicapped people due to steep high stairs to upstairs. We would stay there again w large family group

The beach right by the property wasn't that great for swimming since it was pretty rocky. Kids loved digging in the sand though and there was a public beach just down the road. There was plenty of room for our group of 5 adults and 3 kiddos. The playground right out the front door was a huge hit. Only complaints were the size of the beds felt more like fulls than queens and no way to make the rooms very dark which made nap time for our littles a bit difficult. Overall great experience and would totally recommend!
