It’s all about Location, Location, Location!
And this is where you want to be!
We are so excited to share this house with you! We have made sure it is stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Cripple Creek.
This original log cabin survived the great fire of 1896 as did the unrestored cabin in the back yard.
Bishops cabin has been renovated through the years and now offers 21st century amenities in a cozy rustic setting. Beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and great new beds.
Within walking distance to downtown Cripple Creek, enjoy the Butte Theater Opera House and unique shopping experiences, restaurants, gambling and Museums.
Take a tour of the fabled Mollie Kathleen Gold mine, a train ride back in history or tour active Gold mining operation which stilll produces millions of dollars worth of gold every year, located just 6 miles near historic Victor Colorado.
You and your kids will love feeding our herd of friendly donkeys descendants of the original “Rocky Mountain Canaries” which worked the mines at the turn of the century.
We are also close to fishing, hiking, biking trails, skiing and snowshoeing!
There are many activities and festivities for the entire family to enjoy throughout the year. Ice festival, Donkey Derby Days, Fireworks, Rodeo, Veterans Motorcycle Rally, madam Pearl Devere Day, Art, Gem and Mineral shows, Fall Festival, Ghostly gathering, and Gold camp Christmas. And all just within walking distance.
City Shuttle is also available with Grocery store, liquor store and gas station near by.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin nestled in the mountains on the edge of Cripple Creek. The decor made the cabin feel like something straight out of a home decor magazine, but the real standout was the comfort of the beds—they were incredibly cozy! The hot tub and outdoor space provided a perfect setting to unwind and take in the stunning surroundings. Communication with the owners was excellent; they were very responsive and answered all of our questions promptly. I highly recommend booking this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

The house in Cripple Creek was just perfect. My friend and I were in CC to get out of the heat in Texas and visit a friend who lives there half the year. House was beautiful, comfortable, a perfect location, close to everything and extremely safe. We loved the hot tub after a long day. The owner was so helpful and kind. I will definitely stay there on my next visit to CC.

Amazing cabin! Beautifully decorated and clean. Extremely homey and very comfortable beds. We loved the hot tub, mountain views, and local wildlife (deer, fox). Cripple Creek is a cute town but mostly casinos - not super kid friendly. Beautiful mountain drive to get there, about an hour from attractions (Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge).

We had the absolute best stay in your home ! It was so well appointed and immaculate! Debbie, thank you for making our stay so perfect . The 4th of July decorations were so special for our friend’s birthday ! Thank you for her sweet gift as well ! The hot tub was so nice at the end of the day. All 5 of us girls loved Cripple Creek! The donkeys were so sweet! Your town and home are so charming ! We are already taking about coming back- when we do we want to stay at Bishop’s Cabin again!

One of the nicest vrbo’s we’ve ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, very well stocked, nice deck area, and the owner was wonderful to talk to. About three or four blocks from downtown, easily walkable. Seriously, if you’re staying in Cripple Creek, this is a great one.

I booked this house for a week while I was in Cripple Creek for a wildland fire academy. The whole process was a breeze. Mr. and Mrs. Bishop are amazing and their house exceeded my expectations. The location is great. Peaceful area and they even gave me ideas of sight seeing and other amazing things to do in the area besides the casinos. I will definitely be returning.

Great property and quiet location. The house was clean and modern. Loved the furnishings. Debbie and Stanley were super hosts.
We had wonderful weather. We didnt even need a jacket, yet there was snow on the mountains and also some piles in town. It was a beautiful time of year, but a few attractions were closed yet until May.
We were easily able to walk downtown, but it was a pretty steep climb walking back to the property. Being from the Midwest, the higher elevation was a little too much for me, so we drove down the hill and parked on the edge of downtown so we could get some walking in.

Beautiful home with cozy and comforting amenities. Great location to activities and the hot tub is a must. Owners had great communications.

Very clean property. Hosts are very attentive and friendly. This property is about 3 blocks away from "Main street" which is far enough to get away from all the excitement and close enough to walk to it.
We have stayed here twice and we enjoyed both visits!

This has been our second stay at Bishops cabin, and just like our first visit, this one was perfect. A historical cabin that has been lovingly updated, decorated, and well stocked with everything a guest could possibly need. With the comfortable beds, cozy living room, and private hot tub you’ll never want to leave this property! My family will definitely be back.

This was a fantastic cabin conveniently located within walking distance to the Butte Theater and downtown Cripple Creek. We enjoyed everything about our stay: the new, clean furnishings, comfortable beds, plethora of blankets and other nice touches, the fully equipped kitchen, and, of course, the hot tub. Deb and Stanley, the owners, were super nice and accommodating, and had the place all decked out for Christmas. Definitely one of our favorite Vrbo properties of all-time and certainly the nicest place we've ever stayed in Cripple Creek.

Wonderful Accommodations, the property owners were so helpful .
The home was super clean and well equipped with everything.
We were celebrating one of our daughters 50th birthday and the property owner made it so special by decorating it with birthday balloons and signs and even providing a cheesecake for her…
It was such a nice and relaxing place to stay…

My husband grew up in Colorado Springs and has been dying to bring my parents to Melodrama for years! I am delighted that we found this place! First of all, the home is immaculate and adorable (I really appreciate homes that, like ours, ask for no shoes past the front door!). The beds were super comfy (We used just the bedrooms). The kitchen was *well* stocked -- as in, I would go look for something doubting they would have the utensil/appliance etc. and it was there! We made breakfast one morning. We brought our 2 year old. He slept in the king sized bed with us, but there is room for a packnplay. While the place isn't intentionally little kid friendly, we moved a few decorative items to higher ground and it was just fine (we brought a little folding step stool). We did not use the washer/dryer, the sofa bed, or sadly the patio (including the hot tub and grill). But that just means we'll have to do that when we return. Cripple Creek is an adorable little town and we didn't get it all done somehow (we took in the Melodrama, our son got a personal tour of the fire engines, we did the train tour, we saw Rita the Rock Planter troll). This home's location was perfect for walking to the main strip (we saw donkeys)! but also far enough away that there wasn't late night noise from the casinos. Debbie was a perfect hostess, delightful, a great resource, and quick to respond. Truly perfect, and we can't wait to come back.

Quiet, restful location with nature all around. Two Mama Deer and their twins would visit daily. The Donkeys would also stop by. The wildlife in the area was spectacular. We were never without something fun to do. And, the property was ideal for a mountain getaway. We will definitely tell our friends to book this home.

This is a beautiful, convenient location for a stay in the Cripple Creek area. Everything about this property exudes pride in ownership. Even the sofa sleeper was quite comfortable, and the outdoor patio and hot tub were a great place to relax. I highly recommend this rental!

From the moment we walked in we were in amazement of this beautiful cabin, it is one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever had…sparkling clean, great yard and hot tub with personal touches that add to the beauty of the structure itself. Stanley and Debbie were wonderful hosts, checking in to make sure everything was well with us. Cripple Creek is a lovely setting surrounded by hills…we enjoyed the donkeys, the Butte Theatre, the train ride, the museums and visited a couple of the casinos. Thank You for hosting us Stanley and Debbie and hope to see you in Canada or Cripple Creek in the future.

Took my grandma and 4 of her sisters to celebrate her 79th birthday and they absolutely loved the cabin! It was so clean, cozy and absolutely breathtaking Inside and out! The pictures do not do it justice! Debbie was so welcoming and surprised my grandma and her sisters with a birthday banner and birthday tiaras for them all! It was so kind and thoughtful and my great aunts and grandma were so surprised and loved it! Definitely looking forward to going back again!

There are not enough words to possibly describe how amazing the Bishop's are, how comfy-cozy their home is, and how perfect this home is if you are looking for a peaceful mountain rest. Cripple Creek holds many fond memories for my family and I, and for at least 20 of my 43 summers of life we have visited this town... and NEVER have stayed at a place so, well, perfect! Stanley and Debbie are the best Vrbo hosts HANDS DOWN! :) During our stay there were some freak weather events that are more like what we Okie's have, sever enough to cause damage to vehicles and homes across town, including this wonderful home. The Bishops were there within minutes and began immediately doing any and all that was needed to help our stay and their home at the same time!
My family and I will always come back to this home from now on when we come back to Cripple Creek!
PS for parents:
When we arrived after a 13hr drive, and were tired and weary, we walked in to find the guest bedroom/family room queen sized bed already folded out, set up, and turned down for our girls!!! Seriously, you never get that kind of love and care from a host.
Love, thanks for the memories, and see you next time,
The Moneypenny's

Best place we’ve stayed. Wonderful decorations, warm and cozy rooms, beautiful and comfortable beds and furniture. Pellet stove is a nice touch and provides plenty of warmth. Deck, BBQ, fire pit, hot tub and a 125 year old unrestored miners cabin are in the fenced backyard. Views of the valley and surrounding mountains are stunning. Was very hard to leave, but we will return for sure. Also the owners are very nice and accommodating. Plus there is the occasional group of Donkeys that roam the area looking for carrots and oranges.

Debbie and Stanley were very friendly and there tk help if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend staying here.
