This incredible Japanese style home was designed around its unique ocean point that enables visitors to enjoy ocean views from all 5 bedrooms. The 3 master bedrooms on the second floor have walk out balconies that are only a few feet from the ocean. You'll feel as if the waves are crashing beneath you while you watch the sun create a golden glow around you until it slowly sets, creating several more colors appearing for hours into the night skies . There are 2 breaks directly breaking towards the property (Uppers or Samurai ) & (5-0's) they usually have surfers daily, along with frequent whale sightings during the winter months. Summer months you'll see dolphins, turtles, and stand-up paddlers.
Each of the masters has its own private bathroom. The larger master bedroom has a walk in closet, stand alone shower and two separate bath tubs along with a large sitting room and fireplace for those rare cooler winter nights. The fourth and fifth bedrooms are on the ground floor with great sliding doors opening onto a patio surrounded by palm trees, only steps to the grand infinitely pool. You may find yourself not moving very far from this location during your stay.
The kitchen has everything and can entertain several people at the same time, with oversize counter tops, wine storage and bar. But, the best part about this room is that you can open all 5 great sliding glass doors to bring the outside Hawaiian weather into this huge room with ocean views on two sides. This home also includes a 12 person, large screen movie theater, a billiard and game room including a piano for more entertaining. So, whether you are coming to Hawaii to enjoy the ocean, see the sunsets, soak up the sun, or just hang out, the Samurai House has it all.

What a marvellous house! The pictures are accurate but they cannot convey the WOW effect we had when we arrived. We felt so lucky to be able to call this our home for the week and left very reluctantly. The house has an atmosphere of comfort and indulgence. The heated saltwater pool was a personal highlight, we spend hours in it every day watching crashing waves, occasional surfers in the distance, whales and sunsets. Can't wait to return!

We rented this house for a week with family and held our wedding on the back patio overlooking the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful home to get married at and to stay at for a week. We were depressed leaving because it’s such a special place that is clearly a treasured family home. We used Chef Sasha for food and flowers and I didn’t think it was possible to be blown away as much as we were. Sasha practically became family while we were there. She went above and beyond for everything and is just one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. Donna, the house manager, was also exceptionally nice. She even brought me a large box to ship home my wedding dress and other items so I wouldn’t have to lug around with me to all our other honeymoon locations. Do not hesitate for one minute to book this amazing property. We can’t wait to go back again in the future!! Thanks for such a special and magical start to our marriage!!

If you're looking for a place to stay on the North Shore of Oahu, this house is in a great location. Very close to Waimea Beach and Waimea Valley Botanical Gardens and Waterfall. Also, easy access to several great beaches in the area and the historic town of Haleiwa. The house is directly on the ocean, separated by a sea wall. The views are simply spectacular.
The house is very well appointed and in good condition considering the age of the property. We had a few issues with things not working and the property manager did her best to correct them. I would say to the owner that it's probably time to invest in some upgrades/updates as the house is a bit overpriced for the condition. Our biggest issue was lack of air conditioning in the Master Bedroom (all the other bedrooms have A/C). Since the MB is upstairs, it got VERY hot since the room faces the setting sun. An A/C unit in the M/B would help tremendously.
That being said, we do not regret our stay! We booked the mini luau with Chef Sasha and it was way beyond our expectations, from the food to the dancers (including fire dancers) and live music, all right there on the outdoor space of the house with the ocean as a backdrop. An incredible experience for our family. I would definitely book Chef Sasha and her team again.
The warm salt water pool was a daily ritual for us, cocktails in hand. The oceanside outdoor space is where we spent most of our time. Overall, great vacation!

We enjoyed 10 days on the North Shore at Samurai House in late January. The experience was fabulous from start to finish - Donna and her husband were so friendly, helpful, and attentive! The kids lived in the pool and we were able to watch the dynamic waves and surfers right from the pool deck - we even had some whale sightings! The location was so convenient between Haleiwa and Waimea Valley and we made multiple visits to both. We have stayed at many rental properties and this was one of the most well appointed and generous homes we have experienced - highly recommend!

The pictures do not do this place justice! We saw over 100 whales breaching/spouts right from the property over a week. Whole family of 70+ to 8 week old were comfortable and enjoyed the heated pool, game room, movie theatre and outdoor spaces! Highly recommend a private luau with Chef Sasha. Great interaction with the host.

The Samurai House and our experience staying there was truly perfect in every way. First, the home was impeccable and had every possible amenity you could imagine. We were a group of 7 and had more than enough room to enjoy our times together, but could also sneak off and read a book or enjoy the scenery in a quiet spot by ourselves. And the view, well, the view….spectacular. The house managers were amazing…they were so lovely and responded to any question we had within about a minute (not kidding)! All in all, we give the house and the experience 12 stars out of 10. Mahalo, Samurai House! We will be back, for sure!!!

The oceanfront views from each room were speculator and only rivaled by the beautiful sunsets. The physical plan and layout of the house is well thought out and conductive to many spontaneous activities by several groups within the family. The vibe of the house is rustic with influences of Frank Llyod Wright furnituring fused with Japanese influences. We also used the recommend Chef Sasha who prepared culinary delights for my family. Despite a great stay we encountered several drawbacks like an isolated leaking roof episode during a torrential-monsoon like rain storm, countertop residue, ants in one bedroom and a broken ac system in the media room. Each of the above problems were addressed promptly by the host staff except for the broken AC system in the media room. Being a luxury property none of these problems should have occurred but the owner was prompt and attentive and attempted to off set our inconveniences.
Lastly, the master bedroom has the best panoramic views of the rocky north shores of Oahu and it is the loudest room in the house because the room has several small ocean facing screen only windows close to the roof. Because of the ocean sound we used silicone ear plugs to secure a peaceful sleep.
Overall, the property and the North Shore of Hawaii provided great memories, high quality and valuable time with my family in a secured oceanfront property. Despite the hiccups I would still recommend this property and the North Shore of Hawaii.

Tired in need repair
Dated furniture tired
House first impression was good but as you spent time in realize had maintance issues . We had near tragic fall resulting in broken arm and ambulance ride likely surgery . Could been avoided with handrail and steps secured . They were temporary and slid resulting on bad fall . Again could easily mitigated by attaching to to gazebo . r

Wow! This property (aka - the "Samari House") exceeded all our highest expectations! How perfect for 10 people - (3 families of Grandparents [2]; son & family [4]; daughter & family [4]). Right on the ocean on Oahu's famous "North Shore" - we were less than 1/2 mile from the well known Waimea Bay and numerous other great beaches. The house has a fantastic Infiniti pool that we enjoyed early every morning and evenings, as well as a fantastic outdoor space for food, drinks and watching the daily sunsets. Add in a most well appointed Kitchen/ Laundry Room/ Billiard - Game Room/ Theater Room and large bedrooms - this property has it all! We also took advantage of the opportunity for "Chef Sasha" to prepare fantastic/ delicious meals & no-foolin' Mai Tai's for us - a really great additional aspect that added immensely to our pleasure and family celebration.
The Samari House is highly recommended to any family or group looking to have a "one of a kind, truly unforgettable" Hawaiian adventure and vacation. Our stay there will long be remembered by all 10 of us, and become a most memorable part of our family's history & legacy. The BEST Vacation Home we have ever experienced.

Great Experience
Our family group of ten, ranging from teens to grandparents, recently stayed at the Samurai House on the North Shore of Oahu. We were there in early July 2022. It was fantastic and everyone in the group loved it. Not only was the house and pool perfect for our group, but the setting was all you could ask for. Good snorkeling right in front of the house -- with turtles! Donna was a gracious hostess. And we all recommend using Sasha the chef to prepare a meal at the house for the group. Good food and a fun time for all.

Spectacular family vacation
Samuari house on Oahu’s north shore is better than we ever imagined. The pictures don’t do it justice. Amazing sunset views. Pool was perfectly heated for enjoyment day or night. The house has everything you could need for the perfect family vacation. I would highly recommend chef Sasha. She not only prepares the best food on the island, she helped us arrange amazing adventures from surf lessons and a beach picnic to a private luau at the house. Thank you for sharing Samuari house with our family.

Great for large family with lots of adults!
This was a fantastic house for our family trip. It’s such a great layout that even when everyone wanted their own space but still be out in the common areas there was plenty of room. The kitchen is amazing; all the adults took turns cooking for the group. Not having air conditioning downstairs or in the giant master was totally fine. The house constantly had a great breeze around it that just flows with all the windows and doors open. Waimea Bay is a pretty short walk away, so we got in plenty of beach time without having to drive. Absolutely fabulous!

Wonderful Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time on our multi-generational vacation. The backyard was just as grand as it looks in pictures, and the house was extremely well appointed for cooking and enjoying the pool and nearby beaches. Everything on the North Shore is a short drive away on the same street where the house is located. Donna provided wonderful recommendations for chefs and masseuses, and made check-in and check-out extremely easy. We highly recommend!

Heaven on Earth
We were looking for a perfect place to spend a week escaping the cold gray of the East Coast. The Samaurai House was the most relaxing, beautiful, healing places to retreat to. Donna was the most helpful host who was always accessible by text or phone to help arrange a stocked kitchen, a private chef, perfect hiking trails and recommend amazing people in the Oahu community to provide yoga, Pilates and meditation services. Our days were filled with surfing, hiking, eating at the local favorites and our evenings enjoying all the amenities that the house had to offer- a dojo to work out, tiki lit pool overlooking the ocean and a private movie room. The property was impeccably maintained- inside and out. It is located the perfect distance between town and Pipeline and Sunset Beach. We definitely hope to return again and would enthusiastically recommend this incredibly special property to everyone. It is already missed!

Paradise!
Stunning home, looks even better than the pictures. Centrally located for all the North Shore has to offer, but hard to leave the house for any length of time. Spent hours on the back patio watching the waves, surfers, and the most amazing sunsets. Our host Donna was quick to address any issues that came up, and provided some excellent suggestions for the area. We would definitely love to return some day.

There are no words...
There are no words to truly describe this place...breathtaking and awe-inspiring come to mind. Donna and her husband were incredibly helpful and responsive not only during our stay but also in the months leading up to our visit--some of the best hosts I have ever come across.
I wish I was still sipping my morning coffee and watching the surfers...cannot recommend this place enough.

Words can hardly state how incredible our time was at this property. It had everything we could possibly ask for and more. Whales jumping every day, big waves, relaxing warm pool, amazing sunsets, great movie and pool room, really comfortable beds, INCREDIBLE kitchen to cook in, the list keeps on going.

A magical place
Samurai House is everything we hoped for and much more. Eight of us stayed here with plenty of room to get away for some quiet time if needed. Sunsets were stunning and I am really going to miss the sound of the waves. The house is wide open to the outdoor patio and pool . Every one of the 5 bedrooms has an ocean view!!!! We loved the tiki torches and the gazebo daybed. Very comfe beds. The kitchen is over the top and easily handled our crowd. Wood burning fireplaces and outdoor fire pit were a bonus!! The swinging egg chair was never empty. The master suite is a romantic getaway on its own. Our host Donna was very helpful in going through the entire house with us upon our arrival. She was a joy to work with and very responsive. Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime.

Incredible property / magical stay
What an amazing property! We brought our 4 adult children and their significant others to enjoy a week in paradise and this house the best we could’ve hoped for! It had more than enough space for everyone, was well appointed, had views that went forever, and so many amenities that we weren’t able to fully utilize them in the time we were there.
Communication with the property manager was excellent, we had everything we needed during our stay and loved every minute! Thank you for an amazing getaway!

Incredible Home
In some cases the pictures that are posted online do not accurately reflect the state of the vacation property. This is not the case with this home. The pictures didn't do it justice and the home is much more beautiful in person. The amenities, location, and layout of the home could not be better. We had both of our aging parents, teenagers, a young married couple, and my wife and I that stayed in the home. There is plenty of space to spend time together, but when needed there is privacy as well. Since most of our group had not been to Oahu we did many of the 1st time visitor sites and experiences. Returning to this home and all that it had to offer was a blessing. The sunrise and sunset views were breathtaking. Being able to sit and look over the ocean morning, noon, or night was calming and amazing. We were worried about our parents handling the noise on a vacation and being able to relax. They said this was the best vacation and place they have ever stayed. That is saying a lot as they have traveled all over the world and been to some very beautiful places. Donna is amazing to work with and was timely in her responses to our questions. I would recommend this house to anyone that wants the Northshore life while enjoying the sites and events of Oahu. We will absolutely be back at some point.

Unforgettable Views - Amazing Location
This house is extraordinary. From the amenities to the views - it's hands-down one of the most enchanting places I've ever been. Host, Donna is incredibly helpful...be sure to ask for her recommendations on local services like chefs, masseuses, and on-site activities for the kids such as hula and ukulele lessons. Trust me, you'll want to bring all that stuff in...because you'll never want to leave this house. A few things to keep in mind about the area ... traffic here can get wild - so you'll have to be patient heading in or out of the property. But there are some great spots nearby. I highly recommend you check out the Toa Luau which is super close and a really excellent family-experience. Aloha!

Absolutely Amazing trip to paradise!
This home lived up to its expectations and more! The pictures of this property do not do it justice. The views are amazing and the location was excellent. The property manager, Donna, was so wonderful to work with during our entire trip. The house has 3 king size bedrooms that were extremely comfortable, 1 queen size bedroom and 3 bunk beds. Each bedroom has a private bath. The queen size room shares a full bath with the bunk beds room. And there are 2 half baths in the home. Also an amazing rock tub and sauna shower in the exercise room. This was wonderful for our party of 12 who found plenty of privacy. The pool, outdoor spaces and covered gazebo were such wonderful spots to take in the beautiful sunsets and the ocean life! We saw multiple sea turtles and a seal sunning on the rocks. The kitchen was so amazing with lots of space and well equipped for anything. The dining spaces were perfect and the living room areas were great! Opening up the 4 panel door and having the ocean breeze come through was heavenly. The queen bedroom and 2 king bedrooms have AC units which really cool down the rooms quickly! The main living/kitchen and oversized master king bedroom do not have air conditioning but that was NOT an issue whatsoever with a ton of ceiling fans and the constant ocean breeze, we were extremely comfortable the entire stay. We stayed for 10 days and honestly did not want to leave! We went for the Hawaiian scenery and exploring but found it hard to want to leave the home. The house was just truly paradise and we loved coming home to it and the pool after exploring the Northshore each day. The location is perfect for getting to downtown Haleiwa in about 15 mins and up to the food trucks and Turtle Bay golf in about 25 mins. Foodland grocery is also super close by. We have been planning this trip and had this home booked for over a year, looking at the VRBO listing multiple times. Arriving and seeing that this place really exists and is honestly better than the pictures brought us to tears! This home was absolutely perfect and we are so thankful that this family opened their home to provide dream vacations to others. We really can’t recommend this home enough. Mahalo!

The pictures are just a small indication of the perfection of this property. I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate the ending of 2020 and beginning of a new year. We can’t wait to return to the Samurai House.

This property was the perfect place for our family to stay during spring break. The location was perfect for watching whales, turtles and surfers. The kitchen was by far the most well stocked in any rental home we have ever stayed at. There was plenty of space for six adults to cook and prep meals in. We loved spending time outside in the pool, sitting by the fire pit or lounging on the day bed watching the waves. The property manager, Donna, was extremely attentive, communicative and flexible with our travel schedule. When we had questions about the house, she responded almost immediately. We would all happily go back to Haleiwa Oahu just to stay in this property again!
