About this house rental
Welcome to the beautiful Currumbin Valley - the perfect place for your next getaway to this incredible part of the world. Enjoy nature inspired living and panoramic views from my Balinese-influenced family home - with an outdoor pool and a tennis court.
My property consists of two houses with a total of 6 bedrooms. The main house has 4 bedrooms and the second residence has 2 bedrooms (please see floor plans for further information). Tomewin Mountain Retreat is fully equipped for a large family or a group of friends. Come and enjoy living in a tranquil rainforest – yet be just 15 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport.
The space
The location of this incredible place can’t be beaten – sitting in the midst of 10 acres of rain forest in the stunningly beautiful Currumbin Valley. My home, Tomewin Mountain Retreat, sits high on the block, and is quiet and private with wonderful views out towards Mt Cougal, Springbrook, and beyond to the Tamborine Mountains.
Wonderful for relaxation and rejuvenation, the house itself is renovated and spacious, and beautifully appointed throughout, with a Balinese influence providing the ultimate in style and comfort, where it’s only you and the wildlife!
The large open plan kitchen is luxurious, and beautifully set up with everything you need. First class appliances are provided, including a dishwasher, a full sized fridge, a large oven, gas cooking and all mod cons. There are bar stools in the kitchen area, and a dining room table, so that meals can be easily prepared and served at home.
The extremely comfortable sofas are perfect for curling up on, for those nights spent relaxing at home – enjoy a movie on the large flat screen TV which comes with Foxtel. There is also full wireless internet access - so you can stay connected, even from this natural paradise.
Guests staying longer than a couple of days will be pleased to know that there are laundry facilities provided, so that you can take care of your washing from the ease and comfort of home.
You are going to love the stunning nature of the local area, plus the beautiful and relaxing environment of this wonderful home.

Had such a lovely and relaxing family getaway at this beautiful house stay! I really wished we booked for a longer stay.
It was very clean and spacious for a group of friends and family. You could have a bbq, swim and play tennis.
If a fun getaway is what you’re after you won’t regret this stay!

Our 3-generation family really enjoyed the calm and green surrounding of the property. We also enjoyed playing tennis and exploring the nearby Currumbin rock pool. Plenty of room for everyone. Everything we needed was provided. Check in was easy and friendly. The property manager Talissa was very responsive.

Great property for a large group for a weekend away in Currumbin Valley. There is something for everyone across the 2 houses here. Driving up and down the valley can get a bit tedious so I would suggest buying all groceries before arriving, but even then not a problem. Would love to stay again.

A beautiful setting. Big house which accommodated our extended family well. Was very comfortable. Kids loved the tennis court and space to roam.

Our bridal party stayed here for our wedding and the house was beautiful! No negatives really, except the internet was out for our entire stay, but this is of no fault of the property managers as the Telstra network was affected. The pool was great and so was the tennis court. Would 100% stay again!

Our family group of 14, covering 4 generations, felt very well-catered for. The well-zoned indoor and outdoor living spaces, plus pool, tennis court and pool table, offered plenty of options/entertainment for all and ensured we were not living on top of each other.
At the end of each day we would congregate to watch the sun set over the spectacularly picturesque landscape, and listen to the wildlife. The fact that photography couldn’t do the views justice, meant that phones were abandoned and views/company simply enjoyed.
It’s a 20 minute drive to supermarkets, so being organised for food was important. We relied mainly on the BBQ though the kitchens are well-equipped.
Our only ‘slight’ frustration was with the lights, with switches illogically located and shining through some bedroom windows at night.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. We had a great time at the home. Plenty of space, good location far enough away to feel like a retreat but close to the beaches and shops. Would highly recommend.

This property was perfect for our stay over the weekend. There was plenty of space for all of my wife's large family and their kids.
The kitchen was modern and large enough to cater for everyone. The rooms were beautifully furnished and the bathrooms were lux.
Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much to Talissa for being a perfect host.

We had the best experience staying at this beautiful property. Talissa, the owner, welcomed us and fully explained everything about the property, very helpful. Because this property is generously equipped, our family of 9 were very well catered to. It made our holiday all the more relaxing and pleasant. Talissa's personal service is wonderful and an unexpected plus to staying here. We would definitely recommend to our friends and would love to come back one day.

When you first drive into the gated property your jaw drops, the house looks over the valley and we have never experienced a sunset like it. Truly spectacular. The property had everthing we needed for a group of 13 people. A fully stocked kitchen of crockery and appliances, living spaces with 2 huge outdoor areas. We had a great time using the pool table in the cottage and use of the full size tennis court. Everything from our check in process with Talissa to our relaxed final morning enjoying our coffee taking in the final views, was perfect.

Yoga and Pilates retreat
We used the home for a yoga and pilates retreat. Tallissa was a pleasure to deal with and noting was too much trouble The chef loved the kitchen !

Perfect Girls Weekend Away
Beautiful property in the perfect location for our girls weekend away. The house was in such a beautiful spot with everything you needed. It’s a very special place. Talissa was prompt with her communication and even dropped off extra firewood for us. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

The house is gorgeous with a large kitchen which is great for groups. The gardens around the house and pool are beautiful and we loved the disco Buddha statue.
Only downside is that the beds are very very soft - so much so that my husband and I slept in the kids room bunk beds on our wedding night.

Amazing secluded location for a relaxing weekend away
The house is amazing! A great place to just sit back relax and take in the gorgeous sunset over the mountains every evening. The house is very well furnished with absolutely everything you need. We would have loved to have been able to check out the local area if it wasn't for all the rain. Regardless, would definitely stay again!!

One recommendation for guests is to bring a few own towels if planning on utilising the pool.

Holiday haven
A really amazing place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounds. The house has plenty of options to keep guests entertained, from the tennis court, to the various lounges and to the pool with the stunning views. We had a great holiday. Thanks to Talissa for being a great host!
