We absolutely loved our stay at Cedar Vista! The cabin had everything we could have asked for: privacy, an awesome view, a hot tub, and an easy drive to Wimberley, PLUS all the comforts of a home. We would definitely return!

Everything was as described- teens had fun- horseshoes out back, grilled on gas grill, hot tub was nice and loved the peacefulness- close to Wimberly and San Marcos and Schlitterbahn

A great location just minutes from Wimberley. This log cabin is a great place to get away and enjoy restful peace and quiet. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed having coffee on the deck while watching birds gliding through the hills and valleys just beyond. The hot tub was relaxing as well. There are two other properties near by but you couldn’t tell, we felt as if we were the only ones there. Definitely high on our places to return to!

This place was just what we were looking for. It's outside of town but there is a restaurant and gas station about a mile away. The property is open, well kept, beautiful with all the amenities. The inside was a special treat. Since we were there after the holidays it was decorated for Christmas with a small tree and stockings. It was such a nice touch especially with the cabin feel. We've stayed at a lot of rentals and this one was at the top. Clean, comfortable, beautiful. We'd def stay again!

I was searching for the perfect place for a quick getaway for a couple of days and to propose to my fiance' All I can say is Wow! What a wonderful property with a gorgeous views to enjoy morning coffee from! The cabin iteself is beautiful and is secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet and just relax but also close enough to town! We had an amazing time and we will be back again, this is a weekend we will never forget!

My wife and I stayed here for a much-needed relaxing getaway. We barely left the property for 4 days. The beds were comfortable, the deck was spacious and well situated to take in the beautiful sunsets, and the hot tub was wonderful. The place itself is extremely cozy and well decorated. The fireplace was a very welcome feature. Property manager was nice and very responsive. The only blips we experienced were a small issue with the oven (one of the dials broke) and the presence of three large neighborhood dogs that kept coming up on the porch to investigate our snacks (they were nice enough dogs, and left when told, but kept coming back). These were very small details though, and overall this place was just lovely and perfectly suited our needs. Be aware that the rental is on a large property with two other rentals, and is somewhat close to the larger of the two (Rim Rock Lodge). There was a large group there the last 2 nights and we could definitely hear them partying, but you can't really see between the houses or hear the noise from inside, so it is still pretty private. Recommended!

We are a mother/daughters group that takes an extended weekend trip every year. Cedar Vista is in a beautiful location. The cabin had everything we needed. The firepit, hot tub, and barbecue area is spacious. The deck is large - perfect for some yoga practice with the sun going down. And the beds were very, very comfortable!! We highly recommend Cedar Vista.

We book this amazing home for my girlfriends birthday get away. It was supper close to the river and has amazing views! We had such a wonderful time, it was super clean and had a very home away from home feel. Definitely will recommend to others!

The cabin was spotless and very charming with so much attention to detail. The view from the back deck is truly stunning. I would suggest bringing binoculars if you have them. Very close to San Marcos, Wimberly and Canyon Lake. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay again!

This is such a special little cabin with amazing views and gorgeous finishes inside. It also has a perfectly appointed barbecue area with hot tub and fire pit. It’s a great place to clear your head and unwind.

My family had so much fun at Cedar Vista. Beautiful log cabin. Nicely furnished. Hot tub was clean and located with a view. Our parents had the downstairs bedroom and my 2 sisters and I had the upstairs space. It was perfect. We hope to stay again soon.

My husband and I stayed here 4/14/23 - 4/17/23. The pictures match the property’s current state which is clean & inviting. We live in the city and needed a weekend getaway. This property & Wimberley gave us just that. Loved the view and seclusion. This property definitely helped us relax and rejuvenate (much needed)! We very much enjoyed our stay! The home is well maintained, and adorable. Very comfortable bedding. The kitchen included everything we needed to cook dinners. It was an easy drive into Gruene and Wimberley.

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary stay at this property.
The cabin was fabulous from top to bottom. During our stay we did not need to bring anything but clothes and food and we never left all weekend. The owners take really good care of the place and keep it super clean. We will absolutely be staying here again and maybe even bring our kids and Grand Kids.

Spectacular hill country views and night sky. Wrap around deck, covered patio area with unique limestone pad. Hot tub is the best of our travels, fully functional and strong jets. Upscale bathrooms and kitchen. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decor through out. About 10 minutes from Wimberly. Great close to a great summer.

This is a superb small cabin with fantastic views of the Devil's Backbone in the Texas Hill Country. It's a short distance to the Guadalupe River for tubing, and despite it's remote location, the grocery store in Wimberly is only 10 minutes away. The cabin is perfect for a small family. The kitchen is very small and not well-equipped so do not plan on elaborate cooking here. The large deck is perfect for relaxing in addition to the outside BBQ area. Note that there are no garbage cans close-by, so you will need to drive your trash some distance down the road. Be sure to do this BEFORE you fill your vehicle with your luggage! The cabin and location are fantastic. We definitely plan to stay again in cooler weather.

This place was by far one of our favorite vacation homes! Everything was perfect and the house/location was cozy and secluded. We enjoyed coffee on the patio in the mornings and the night sky views.

Great, quiet location
We had a great time relaxing at Cedar Vista. Really neat house with a hill country theme. Was greeted the first day by a deer and her fawn. So very quiet, you’d think you had the whole mountain side to yourself, but quick access to H‑E‑B (12 min drive) and other towns. We used this house as a central location to hit river spots and State Parks.
We needed something the Sunday of a holiday weekend. Management company was quick to respond and we really appreciated it! Great experience for us!

This property is very clean with a lot of house essentials set back off the main road and overlooks a 2000 acre canyon in the hill country. If you want a remote and peaceful get-away, but within 15 minutes of Wimberly to the East and Canyon Lake to the Southwest, this is a very good choice.

Honeymoon without the wedding
It is hard to know where to start. First the location is great. Wimberly is far enough away but close to everything. The road is well marked to the house and well maintained. The house is remote and I mean remote. We did not see or hear anyone while we were on property and we spent most of our trip on the patio. The house is really cute and well maintained. There is a old small coffee maker and a Kurig. The kitchen is small for more than a family but it worked for the two of us just fine. You can open the house up bright or close everything down dark. Hanging out on the patio at night was awesome and the views are amazing. There was some wasp activity but we found the nest and it will be taken care of shortly. The upstairs is really cute and perfect for a couple of kids to sleep and hang out. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and never found a place quite like this before. Lots of little extras.
