The company who manages the property (Hawaii Life Vacations) were excellent. Jolanta was delightful and very genuine and helpful. The house was immaculate. When we had a problem with the fireplace they were willing to send a maintenance repair person immediately even though it would be late evening before he arrived. Having a washer and dryer was great. The hot tub made for a fantastic experience. It was set at a perfect temperature and was very clean and the view from the hot tub was beautiful and felt very secluded. The hot tub was the only reason we booked the place so we were very thankful it was working.
Their was no cable and the internet kept freezing. We were trying to enjoy watching the Olympics and had no end of frustration with the freezing issues.
The gas fireplace only worked the first night. It was on a timer and the ticking of the timer was incredibly annoying. The maintenance man came to try to repair the fireplace but was not able to, so we were without heat for the last 4 nights of our stay. There was no electric heater available so we had to bundle up with blankets. I can't imagine how miserable it would have been if it was mid winter.
The fire alarm went off just from the steam from the shower.
The bed was small. There are two rooms blocked off (for the owners personal use I think) and it seemed they might have been bigger than our room. It would have been a much more pleasant stay if there had been a King bed available. In fact, we wouldn't have booked this place with the small bed if it weren't for the hot tub.
There were buddha's/idols everywhere and personal family pictures that made it feel a little weird.
