About this house rental
Beautifully restored and decorated large Victorian with six bedrooms and a large hot tub, in the heart of charming Hawley Pennsylvania. This home is ideal for couples looking for a quiet getaway, who enjoy antiques, Victorian era architecture and B&B type accommodations. The home is not suitable for children, however we will consider 1-2 children, on a case by case basis. For our guests that can’t do steps, we have one bedroom, bathroom and shower on the first floor, that can be accessed via the back door, which has no steps. There are 3 living/sitting rooms to spread out and relax in, a large kitchen and separate dining room, 6 bedrooms (2 of the six are adjoining on the third floor converted attic), and 3 bathrooms! The quaint village of Hawley which offers fine and casual dining, shopping, river walk trails, park, playground, library, fitness center and post office, is within walking distance of the home. The town offers numerous activities and festivals throughout the year. Lake Wallenpaupack is a short drive away and boast over 60 miles of shore line. Activities such as boating, fishing, water skiing, hiking and swimming, attract visitors from all over the tri-state area. We had 7 people staying and another 7 visited with us for dinner and there's plentiful room for everyone to find their own space. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the tools you need. That is something that I have not expected. The hot tub is a little dated but functional. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay.

We enjoyed this Victorian home in Hawley which was closely located to all the restaurants and bars in Hawley. The home is unquie and large enough for all of us. 9 adults. The owners were great to deal with and quick to respond.

The owner kick us out and the house had a horrible smell, very old btw. The owner was very scared that something will break. No children allowed also means no teenagers. We had couple teenagers. Don’t book it if you want your vacation or getaway ruined.

The two of us with our 3 adult children were in town for a funeral and this house was exactly what we needed. We appreciated the walking distance to Teeters and the church, the full functional kitchen, and the large living room for family tv and game nights.
The hot tub was a plus.
I agree with the owner that the house is not suitable for young children with the steps and antiques throughout. Would absolutely stay again when traveling to Hawley.

We had a girls' getaway weekend to celebrate our oldest sister's milestone birthday. We were coming from MA, MD and PA so the location was perfect, exactly halfway between MA & MD. House was exactly as described and we made good use of the kitchen, grill and hot tub. Lovely little town with shops within walking distance. Owners were very responsive to all questions & concerns.

We wanted to be close to hikes and pretty places to explore. This house in Hawley is perfect for us, an extended family of 6. Walking distance to resraraunts and shops. Good size house to spread out.

Located in a small town, not too far from the marina where we rented a boat. Backyard setup was nice with hot tub. Kitchen was functional and had all the appliances and tools we needed. Decor was not our taste but also exactly as pictured so no surprises. We had a nice stay.

Nice old vixtorian, bathrooms are updated and kitchen, overall nice house in the center of town, the house does need some work, nothing to major besides the TV situation theres really only 1 its ROKU don’t expect to see any Sunday football games on it and the fact you have to bring everything “bed sheets” pillow cases” ETC besides those 2 things we enjoyed our stay there

This very big house is very old , all furniture is probably the age of the house. Great place for someone who likes old Victorian houses. But it is not my cup of tea. Definitely not a cozy place. You need to bring everything there: towels, linens, soaps, shampoo, dish soap. If you have a big party you better bring extra pillows and blankets. The ACs are very old but work good. The windows are beautiful but again so so old with some cracks. If you like a fresh air , you can't really open them - there were no screens. The backyard needs a lot of cleaning. THe kitchen is big with the big island but you can't really seat around the island because there is only one high chair. The door in the bedroom on the first floor is broken, can't close it. The lock in the bathroom on the second floor is not working - you can't lock the door. The beds in 2 bedrooms on the second floor are really really high - no steps. You need to climb there. I have to admit that mattresses are good. Be careful on the steep staircase in the kitchen. Location is great! Everything is near. Lake is about 5-7 minutes driving . Again, this house is for someone who is into really old houses. I wouldn't rent it again.

My fiancee and I, who made the reservation, were unfortunately unable to make it to this friends group weekend trip due to a family emergency. I had no trouble getting in touch with the hosts to let them know that. They passed along the check-in instructions and everything our group of 5 needed to enjoy the weekend. I'm told there was some mix-up about linens and towels not being in the house that was quickly corrected, and the hosts were generous enough to refund some of our reservation. My fiancee and I are hoping to book this house again in the not-too-distant future because from what our group told us, the pictures really don't do this lovely home justice!

We booked this house last-minute to try and salvage some of our Covid-19 summer. The home owners were beyond pleasant to work with, even when we had a slight plumbing issue. Very responsive & very kind. The house is beautiful, photos listed show it accurately. The kitchen is gorgeous and fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes— anything you need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are A/C units in all rooms (including the 3rd floor) that kept all spaces cool on hot days. Quiet backyard with wood provided for the chiminea and a gas grill for some quick burgers. We had teenagers with us that thought they walked into a museum, and so, yep— impromptu history lesson! Great house, would absolutely recommend!
